I have been supporting Forgotten Soldiers for years, both with letters and Christmas cards and with supplies from myself, my women's group, and my office. They do a fabulous job with the resources they have.
This organization is one of the best supporters of Troops with so much personal and passionate efforts in each package they send. The troops really get a taste of home and moment of just appreciation that goes bothe ways from organization to Soldier. This Organization has affected so many branches of the service and just supportive in so many ways, it means the world to promote them and support them for the US Military. No Soldier goes without a little piece of home, on any mobilization or deployment overseas with this organization supporting them.
This organization, with a modest staff and many volunteers is totally true to its mission of providing tremendous support to our deployed servicemembers worldwide through monthly care packages and letters. Each box has another inside to be shared with a buddy who may not hear from home very often. The pure emotional, mental and physical effort to send 1 million boxes over 20 years is phenomenal. As a veteran,FSO has my absolute support and respect!
I have been a volunteer at Forgotten Soldiers for over 7 years and it has been an extremely gratifying experience preparing for and packing "care" packages for our troops. Our men and women deserve our support and the few hours a week I give is so small a contribution to give compared to those who give so much protect us.

I have been volunteering at Forgotten Soldiers for four years. The staff is very dedicated to the mission and the other volunteers are like minded and a great working group. I got involved after making a food contribution for their care packages they send to servicemen around the world when our community sponsored a collection. I realized that while a heart felt "thank you for your service" in greeting a member of our armed forces may be appreciated this organization provided me a perfect step up from that in helping pack and send these care packages filled with requested essential hygiene products as well as candy, snacks and drink mixes (amazingly all contributed by just regular folks doing their part too). What a perfect opportunity Forgotten Soldiers has provided me to do my small part to make a soldier happy and let them know people care at home.
This is by far the best non profit I have had the privilege to work with. The director, staff and volunteers are completely dedicated to this cause. This is attested to by the many letters received from our recipients thanking us for the support. Each box shipped is carefully prepared for the designated area of receipt. Occasionally a special item is requested by either a recipient or squad leader. Every attempt is made to see that request if fulfilled.

Each month individual care packages are mailed to deployed servicemen and women, as well as large boxes that are sent to squads. Each box has a variety of items, such as toiletries, snacks, drink mixes, wipes, and several boxes of Girl Scout cookies. Lynelle, the founder and executive director is dedicated to serving our military. I am proud to say I volunteer for such an amazing, caring organization.
I have been volunteering with the Forgotten soldier organization for about seven or eight years. They have no federal assistance, no assistance from the military. Everything they do is based on volunteers and donations. They reach out to every soldier that needs them, every month, no matter where they are stationed. You couldn’t ask for a better organization, and those that run this organization are amazing people.
I am the mother of 2 Navy officers currently serving, one onboard the USS Arleigh Burke and the other on the USS Lenah Sutcliffe HIgbee. I started volunteering shortly after our son on the Arleigh Burke was underway in the eastern Mediterranean. I was so impressed with how much this organization does, mostly under the radar, for our service men and women. It is amazing. Absolute love and care goes into every box that is delivered to our service men and women. So wonderful!
I have the honor of volunteering with forgotten soldiers Outreach and I see firsthand how great their work is. I have met soldiers that receive their packages and have packed boxes to mail out. Simply amazing!
Forgotten Soldiers is a great organization. Lynelle is a gem. She really works hard to help our soldiers. I would recommend Forgotten soldiers to anyone looking to get involved with helping the men and woman serving our country. I enjoy the packing events, there are always great people and it feels good to know I am being of service.
The Forgotten Soldiers Outreach does great work to ensure that the deployed soldiers are not forgotten.
They do amazing work especially with the "WE CARE PACKAGES", etc.
What an amazing organization! They help so many soldiers to feel remembered and loved. I never knew how far their reach was until I recently attended a volunteer event alongside of our team of employees from the Cox Science Center. We learned all about their mission and all about the thousands of soldiers that they have impacted with their monthly care packages. If you are looking for a place to volunteer or donate to, this is the perfect place!
By far the most proficient, dedicated, and enthusiastic non-profit I have had the pleasure of working with. Such amazing and kind work is done and I am proud to be able to partner with them.
I can't put into words the importance of the work being done by the Forgotten Soldier Outreach. Lynelle and her team work tirelessly for the men and women overseas. The care they show in their work is remarkable. I spent a few hours helping pack boxes the other day with my coworkers, and we were all inspired by the generosity and kindness we witnessed in this non-profit. I will be back to volunteer as soon as possible.
I loved to be part of something bigger; doing something meaningful for the better good of our community and our heroes overseas. Forgotten Soldiers Outreach brings that sense of care, compassion, appreciation and a "piece of home" feeling to everything they do and send to our troops to let them know they are thought of each and every day they serve. The process for which FSO provides this service, is commendable and necessary and I hope to be a part of this operation again in the near future!
LOVE THE ORGANIZATION....LOVE THE PEOPLE......LOVE THE CAUSE.....LOVE ALL THE HEART THAT IS PUT IN ON A DAILY BASIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PERIOD, AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
One amazing heartfelt organization! I was blessed to meet these folks and had the privilege of being a volunteer.
I have volunteered for Charitable Organizations most of my life. Forgotten Soldiers is the most rewarding. To be able to personally touch military members serving hardship tours overseas is wonderful. By sending cards and packing the actual boxes that these men and women receive is an experience nonparalled. My son was a grateful receiver of these gifts when he was deployed to Afghanistan and Syria. As he said about the packages “someone knows I am here, and someone cares”

Before I donate or volunteer for an organization I personally vet that organization. Forgotten Soldiers Outreach far surpassed my expectations. The staff are outstanding. The most dedicated individuals, I have ever met. They deliver what they promise. They treat each military and volunteer as family. As a retired soldier and mother of a soldier I know what it is to be serving a hardship/combat tour and receive a package that means someone knows you are there and cares! Kudos to this whole organization.
Lynelle and the amazing volunteers at FSO are amazing. They devote their time and resources to ensure that deployed military personnel feel loved and appreciated. The simple comforts of home go a long way and the brave men and women always love it.
I was drawn to volunteer at Zforhotten soldiers because of my military family, but I’ve fallen in love with this organization for their love of our military.
A lot of the volunteers do not have ties to military and have been working here for many years. I think that speaks volumes in the character of these beautiful people.
When you read letters of appreciation from recipients, you know you’re making a difference for those fighting for us. Even after they come home. It feels good to be a part of something bigger than you can imagine.
I have been a volunteer for 9 years at Forgotten Soldiers. I am proud to be with other dedicated volunteers there. It is heart warming to receive emails, notes, or pictures from all the military branches. Makes me feel good to bring a smile and a bit of home to these brave men and women all over the world.

I have been volunteering for several years at Forgotten Soldiers Outreach and feel we are giving a bit of home to our military. It truly warms my heart to be a part of giving back to men and women who have chosen to enlist to protect us. The notes they write of appreciation wants you to help more!
Appreciation to the military can make their day.
I love the fact that 90% of all funds raised are used directly for the intended target - the United States Military Armed Forces. Our men and women work hard to keep our nation safe and this organization is giving back to them to try and show them how much we appreciate them.
Forgotten Soldiers sends "We Care" packages on a monthly basis and provides our military not only with the basic life needs - body wash, shampoo, baby wipes, etc. but with a little piece of home - Girl Scout Cookies, snacks and candy. Along with letters of encouragement. All donated by supporters throughout the Country.
It is an honor to donate to and volunteer with Forgotten Soldiers Outreach!

I have volunteered with Forgotten Soldiers for a year now. It warms my soul and heart to see the donations and letters that are received to support our military. To know that I have a small part in providing comfort and support to our military personnel is an honor. Then to hear some of their stories, I know I am in the right place!
I have donated items for their care packages for years and still do. I also write thank you letters to be put in their packages. I now also volunteer in the warehouse. I love helping out there. We do everything from sorting and making sure we don't get expired items, getting the boxes ready for people that come in to pack. I am so glad to know that we are making a difference in our troops life's by letting them know that they matter and what they are doing is so very important to all of us.
I have volunteered with Lynelle and her organization for the past 12 years and continue to find the joy I feel when I pack a box and write a letter to someone serving our country that is far away from home. As a veteran and a mother of an active duty Air Force Officer who just got back from the Middle East, these packages matter, if only to cheer their spirits for a bit and bring a small piece of America to them.
Forgotten Soldiers Outreach is a terrific organization. They send packages to the Service Members I work with who are deployed in Africa. The organization communicates with me often so I always know what's happening regarding the packages. The Service Members are so happy to receive the packages and to know that people at home care about them and will go above and beyond to let them know this. Thank you for all that you are doing to keep our brave Service members in mind.
Best,
Cynthia Scarborough, LCSW
As a leader of local youth program's it means the world to us that we get to he involved the FSO. They show today's youth that respect and honored traditions still hald value for those who serve, served, as well as the kids who get to be involved.
For the past seven years I have volunteered with Forgotten Soldiers Outreach. I am proud to be affiliated with an organization that is committed to serving our men and women in uniform overseas. It is a small patriotic gesture on my part for an organization that has an incredibly big heart. I am grateful for the organization's commitment.
Forgotten Soldiers Outreach is hugely impactful for so many away from home, their family & friends as they fight for our freedom. This is a great charity I love to support. I have been to several events and have been brought to tears, many times, listening to our heroes say how much a care package means to them. I honor them, their service, their courage. I admire FSO for their commitment to put a smile on our soldiers faces, letting them know they are supported and thought of. Thank you FSO! What you do is amazing!
Forgotten soldiers is one of the best charities in Palm Beach County. All of the staff and volunteers have only one purpose, to help bring a few comforts of home to our soldiers overseas. I have been able to meet and hear the impact that their care boxes have to a soldier that might not get much sent from home. I recommend them 1000%.
We have been a supporter and volunteer for Forgotten Soldiers Outreach for several years and have seen firsthand the outstanding work that this organization does. Lynelle and her team put their hearts and souls into everything they do. The care packages that are put together by hand and sent to our troops deployed overseas not only provide basic necessities but also let them know that we are grateful for their service and are keeping them in our thoughts and prayers.

What a terrific organization! Forgotten Soldiers Outreach prepares and sends care packages to our military troops deployed overseas. Their mission is to remind our troops that we are always thinking of them, appreciate them and support them. Our family volunteered for a packing event and it was such a great experience. We helped put together packages with every day items (snacks, personal hygiene products, Girl Scout Cookies!) along with "Thank You" notes from local students. Our troops are truly grateful for these packages from home and we are truly grateful for their service to our country, protecting our freedoms and keeping us safe.
It's been an awesome experience to watch this organization grow and send that much needed morale boost to thousands of our troops over the years. I have been so priviledged to volunteer and be a part of this amazing mission. As a veteran, it really means alot.
I have donated and participated in several packing events and fundraisers. I have seen the letters from and met many former recipients. FSO touches so many lives when they need it the most!

Forgotten Soldiers Outreach continues to support our deployed troops. Even during the pandemic, quarantine and shutdowns, the employees along with the volunteers and board persevered to keep the packages going out. In addition, 91% of every dollar goes to the organization's programs. A very worthwhile nonprofit to donate to or to volunteer with.

I have been a donor and volunteer for Forgotten Soldiers Outreach for over 7 years. The joy that the care packages bring to our deployed troops is immeasurable. They truly do provide that "little bit of home" to those that are far from friends and family. Even during tough times, Forgotten Soldiers Outreach is able to put our service members first and get much-needed supplies out to them.
From a family where my father, uncles and my five brothers were all in the military, I am very sensitive to the needs of our service men and women. I commend Forgotten Soldiers Outreach for their many years of supplying Care Packages to those deployed around the world. Keep up the great work!
Forgotten Soldiers Outreach program supplies soldiers overseas with personal necessities, letters from the community and snacks to let them know that there are many people who think of them and appreciate their work on our country's behalf.
I have the honor to volunteer with this organization. The administration and volunteers are hard-working, passionate about their cause and dedicated to making our soldiers feel that they are remembered.
The responses from the community to support this cause has been great and I believe our efforts are appreciated by these soldiers.

This is an organization whose heart is overflowing with a great staff and passion for the cause. I have enjoyed volunteering with them for the past few years and in my heart it is at the top of my list as far as organizations o. Whenever I am out in public I strike up conversations with people to promote it and encourage them to come and volunteer to get to know everyone.
As a US Marine Veteran I have a special place in my heart for this organization. I know what it's like being away from home wondering if people back home even remember you exist. When our troops get the boxes that are packed and shipped through this organization it let's them know they are not forgotten. I've attended two packing sessions and the feeling I left with knowing that one of our young fighting men or women are going to be very happy with the box I packed, it gave me goose bumps. The forgotten Soldiers Outreach is in my humble opinion the great organization in the world.
I am a supervisor for a maintenance shop that is currently deployed. My soldiers and I are a group of hard working and fun loving people but sometimes we just need a little something to lift us up. This organization helped fill that need. We have received some care packages from them resulting in a very much needed morale booster. The Girl Scout cookies was a very nice package and my soldiers loved them! On the behalf of my soldiers and myself, I would like to thank the Forgotten Soldiers Foundation and all the volunteers who give up their time to make our lives a little better here overseas. They are a doing a great service to those who serve.
I love volunteering for Forgotten Soldiers Outreach because they care so much about all the men and women who serve our Country.
As a mother of 2 20 year military vets, I can tell you how much these are packages mean to our service men and women. My sons were never able to have packages from Forgotten Soldiers because it didn't exist when they were serving. However, when family and friends would send them a package, it was better than Christmas. It very important to be remembered in such a meaningful way.
I have been a volunteer at Forgotten Soldiers for the past year. The items sent to the. military personnel are exactly what is needed for those serving overseas and who have limited access to the essentials and some treats! The organization is very well run. Our supervisory staff truly care about the mission and the people who volunteer. Forgotten Soldiers is organized down to the minutest details. We check expiration dates on every single item that comes in. The items are sorted into categories and then sorted again by expiration dates before the packages are assembled. The volunteers work tirelessly and with the most positive attitudes which makes it a pleasure to be a part of Forgotten Soldiers. I am very happy I found this volunteer opportunity to help the people who are protecting our freedom.
One of the highlights of a service members day is mail call. Packages often contain items that are not readily available and truly provide a link to home!
Unfortunately there are military personnel who do not have anybody at home corresponding with them.
I fondly remember how much my friends enjoyed sharing some of the "goodies" I received.
This is a vital morale booster that the Forgotten Soldiers Outreach provides filling that void.
Not a sokdier is forgotten.

As a commander of several units in the Army I have seen the results of a soldier who seemingly had no one to correspond with and never had his/her name called out at mail call!
The Forgotten Soldier Outreach Program fortunately fills this gap for many of our serving personnel.
Kudos to the volunteer packers for their valuable service packing and preparing the packages for shipment to our deployed service members.
Wayne P. Jackson, Major General U. S. Army retired.
This a top rated nonprofit with a dedicated staff. The director, warehouse manager, and volunteer manager are hard working and devoted to the mission of providing care packages to those deployed overseas. Each month, without fail, hundreds of packages are mailed. Each item mailed is inspected and prepared with the upmost care. I am proud to be a volunteer for this amazing organization.
My volunteering experiences here have been very positive. There has always been one person who has directed the activity, can answer any questions, and provided alternative tasks for those who needed it. They always have the needed tools and supplies to complete the activities, and the directions are simple and clear. The volunteers all seemed to work well together and were very welcoming to me when I first joined.
They offer our military overseas a small piece of home when they truly need it. We donate regularly and have seen first hand how appreciative our soldiers are to receive the "care packages" that Forgotten Soldiers Outreach mails them.
My son was in the Marines and was serving in Afghanistan, I signed him up to receive packages. He was so happy when he received his Forgotten Soldiers package and loved sharing all the goodies with his squad. I soon became a volunteer and am so happy to have found them and to be part of such a heart warming foundation.
My son served two tours in Iraq, One day he told me to stop sending packages it was embarrassing because no one else in his platoon got packages. A friend told me about Forgotten Soldiers Outreach and I became active in the organization. Each month his entire platoon received packages . The volunteers in this organization do so much for those serving
Absolutely love this organization and their mission! I so appreciate that they are taking such great care of our men and women overseas while they are sacrificing time with their families and their very lives to be there for us. I love their effort to ensure no soldier be forgotten while deployed and that they make each and every recipient of their care packages feel loved and appreciated
The experience you have at a packing event with Forgotten Soldiers Outreach is priceless! It makes you appreciate the simple things that we take for granted daily. Hearing the gratitude from previous recipients is amazing. I am so proud of the founder, Lynelle for putting this organization together and her team for their hard work keeping it together and of course all of the repeat volunteers! We look forward to supporting them for many years to come.
I have been a volunteer at Forgotten Soldiers Outreach for several months and can say it is a fantastic organization that perfectly fills a need for our courageous soldiers that defend our country. The care packages that are boxed and shipped to our soldiers overseas in far away countries provide needed everyday items that are so hard to replenish. These packages send a touch of home to them. When I volunteer at FSO, I feel like my time is well spent and on such a great cause.
Several months ago I learned about Forgotten Soldiers and knew I had to get involved. FSO is run by an organized devoted staff and supported by a large group of wonderful volunteers. The military care packages are filled with a variety of needed items and packed with smiles. I always look forward to the time spent giving to our military since they give so much for us. I am proud to be a part of this fine organization.
I have been honored to volunteer & support FSO on many occasions. Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, is a wonderful organization that touches the hearts of many deployed service men and women.
It truly brought me to happy tears, when I would be at an event, and someone would stop by our booth, and share with me, how awesome it was to get their care packages while overseas. To appreciate all that was in the box, the letters, the treats, the needed hygiene supplies. Made me proud to be a part of the FSO Team!!!

This organization is great! I am deployed in a remote location where we don't get much supplies or reminders of home often. Your care packages I receive every month are moral boosters to say the least, words of encouragement are uplifting and greatly appreciated. The snacks sent are shared with everyone in my division and they too greatly appreciate your gifts. Thank you for everything!
They are a very responsive and really helpful I\u2019m so thankful for all you guys are doing for my husband and his friends
Forgotten Soldiers is an awesome non profit organization. There's a feeling of excitement we get from receiving a package during mail call. Being so far away from home, some of us don't have much in the way of families so some of the Soldiers and Airmen don't get mail. We become isolated for a time so we become each others family.
It is a great thing that this org does for our Soldiers and Airmen. When we receive a package it feels like someone cares. Being in the desert and working day in and day out gives us a kind of ground hog day sensation. When we get packages in the mail it's like Christmas.
I had never heard of Forgotten Soldier until a fellow military spouse shared about it on Facebook. I have been so amazed with the kindness and generosity this organization bestows. Shortly after I submitted the forum to sign him up I was emailed. There was a small issue with his address, and they helped me fix it within the same day! Everytime I've spoken to anyone they are kind, respectable and extraordinarily helpful! My husband recieved his first package about a month later and he loved all the hygiene goodies he got, especially the sun screen since he's in the dessert! Thank you Forgotten Soldier, and everything you do, it's comforting to know someone else besides me is looking out for my husband.
In my opinion, I know how much this organization helps our service members that are deployed overseas. You can tell that the volunteers and the staff do this from their hearts and that this organization means everything to them. Helping those that receive little to nothing from home breaks my heart. As a person that was raised military and was a military mom, I cannot believe that there are not more organizations such as Forgotten Soldiers Outreach out there. I just want to say....good job to the volunteers for doing all they do to support our troops!!!

My son is now on his 4th deployment since 2006. Every deployment, Forgotten Soldiers Outreach has sent him and his brothers packages. I am very grateful towards the volunteers and the staff of FSO for sending him and the guys packages. As a military raised, military mom, I know that those packages mean a lot to the men and women that are deployed overseas. It boosts their morale knowing that complete strangers are thinking of them and put a ton of love into the packages they receive. I know that I cannot personally say thank you enough to these men and women that serve our country and leave their families and friends to defend our freedom. Thank you FSO for supporting them while they are away.
We had the honor of working alongside of this wonderful organization in February. Great people with big hearts doing great things
The reality of what FSO is doing is much more than sending cards and WeCare package. This amazing organisation is showing American soldiers that the reason they are risking their life very far from their home country really matters and make a difference. FSO tells them through these package that there are millions of people who really care for them and are grateful. Please donate some time or some money to the FSO team, like I do as often as I can. The team is great and what they do essential.
For the past three years helping FSO, I can say that this organization has some of the hardest most dedicated people I've had the pleasure to be around. Not only do they work hard but you can feel the motivation they have for helping the soldiers.
I had the pleasure of working with this group on a fundraiser several months ago. This is a great group of people that are extremely dedicated to their mission of helping those who are protecting our way of life.
Thank you Forgotten Soldiers Outreach for being the setting that provides connection, emotional support, love and a place where our hearts can fulfill it's passion. Increasing the resilience of the individual can increase the resilience of the community, and providing a helping hand to a neighbor or a friend, can also help the person giving the hand. Any opportunity to extend gratitude and show support to our deployed military and their families, and to acknowledge their important contribution to the well-being and safety of our country is something I do not take lightly. A simple "thank you" to a service member helps show gratitude of their sacrifice. All people, not just those involved in the military, benefit from community support, and the emotional show of support is important to everyone's health and well-being. Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, Inc. is the venue that connects our communities with those serving abroad and also impacts our communities and the family members back home. Forgotten Soldiers Outreach is a huge family and there is nothing better than working and helping each other, ensuring that NO ONE IS FORGOTTEN. For those returning to those deploying. The south Florida community, FSO's volunteers, staff, military family members and those deployed recipients of FSO's We Care package program share in the joy of giving and receiving. This is why it is so common to find "recipients" from FSO's program volunteering, attending fundraising events, and continuing their involvement with FSO after they return home from their tours.

Last November I was let go from my job, and like most we live on a budget. With no savings to carry us through we learned how to put our complete Trust in God. Our family is overwhelmingly blessed as God has made a way and our every need has been met. Forgotten Soldiers Outreach filled our home with furniture as we were unable to move our furniture from north Florida. God is good! Thank you..... Thank you.... Thank you.... Our prayers have been answered. Jesus HELP, is a powerful and short prayer...Might I suggest this to those who need comfort, rest, and peace. He is the way the truth and the life!
Wonderful organization that consistently sends out monthly care packages to our deployed military service members. They ensure that recipients receive the best items possible including toiletries hygiene items snacks and letters of encouragement.
This is an amazing group of people that dedicated so much time helping those protect us keep up the great work
I was introduced to FSO about three years ago through a friend. What I found was an organization full of people that care and love what they do. They are always "on", working to raise funding so they can continue supporting our troops. I have been to the warehouse where they store and package the care boxes. It is unbelievable what they do. I am proud to say I know a great group of individuals.

Forgotten Soldiers Outreach is a wonderful worth while organization from their mission statement all the way to our deployed troops! Being away and deployed representing our country is a demanding job. Our soldiers need to feel the LOVE from the United States to keep up the moral and confirm we have their backs just as they are unselfishly giving their lives to each and everyone of us. Thank you to our men and women of service. FSO is a big help to support our military causes by keeping our troops morals up!
I have worked with this wonderful organization in the past, and plan to again in the near future. It is a great cause and everyone can help on any level.
I believe that it is the right thing to do to donate to forgotten soldiers...who put their lives on the line for us so we can enjoy the freedoms we do.
My father was a vet, I moved to Florida with a vet , who has since passed away and I respect what these men have sacrificed for us.
My kids and I have volunteered numerous times with this organization and I've never had anything but great experiences. When there, you can see how much heart, love and dedication this organization brings to helping the troops at home and overseas. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Numerous times, they've had speakers come in to tell the volunteers just how much of a difference they make. While I find that the act of volunteering is rewarding in itself, actually seeing those it impacts personally creates a truly meaningful connection that makes a powerful impact on myself and my kids. Thank you, FSO, for making a difference everyday!
FSO is an organization that gives to our military every day. Without FSO some military personnel would not receive care packages or any mail. FSO and all their volunteers put together packages with love anf care. Love FSO.❤️❤️❤️❤️
My son deployed. Life at home was stressed with new babies, medical issues and family far away. I asked ONCE for help. My son received a package, ....Wait his troop received packages! ALL WHILE ....the lady dealt with some serious private issues of her own.

One of the most caring and amazing non profits ever taking care of our military! I have had the honor of volunteering and collecting for FSO and would do it any time - all the time! The time spent by everyone for FSO is such a blessing! Love FSO!
FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS I HAVE HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF HEADING FUNDRAISER EVENTS FOR FORGOTTEN SOLDIERS. THEY PROVIDE SUCH A MUCH NEEDED SERVICE TO THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO DEFEND OUR COUNTRY. THERE ARE MANY INDIVIDUALS IN THE BATTLEFIELDS AND BEHIND THE LINES THAT HAVE NO CONTACT FROM HOME AND NEED A BOOST TO THEIR MORAL AND GIVE THEM MUCH NEEDED SUPPLIES AND TREATS. THIS ORGANIZATION GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND TO PROVIDE AS MANY ITEMS AS NEEDED.
For some time i had been trying to find a way to write notes to soldiers. I had sent letters out on my own to another group who would then send them along to some one some where. However, with this site, i really feel sure that my letter will actually get to a soldier who really might want and need the mail. Since i started writing last year i have sent at least 5 letters. I go on the site and i can see the thanks and pictures from the men and women who receive the letters and care packages. It is great to know that my letters are being sent, and to see the faces and read the words and be able to know i might have made a tiny difference for one of them. I don't need the thanks, but i like to know that the ones who serve us are getting what we send. I was fortunate enough to have enough extra money this year that i was able to donate a little, and just knowing that a smile is out there because someone got cookies, or deodorant, or a razor, or something they need fills my heart. This is one of the best organizations i have ever seen. I just wrote another letter before writing this review, and i am so happy to say i will continue to write as often as i can, thanks to this great crew who works tirelessly to get our troops the things they need from home. They are doing a wonderful job and i am proud to be able to use their site and to have donated to them this year.
I was lucky enough to be able to participate in packaging the boxes to be shipped to the soldiers overseas. What a fun a rewarding experience to be a part of!
What this organization does is provide hope and joy to the armed forces serving in the worst places and conditions imaginable. A care package is so much more than what is inside the box, but it represents home and when you are surrounded by combat and death/destruction it gives you a momentary relief from the chaos and reminds you that there is more than the horrible circumstances you find yourself in. I was in the Marine Corps for 13 years until medically retired due to being wounded in combat, and I received many care packages and the impact that it has on you in that moment is worth its weight in gold! I volunteered for a few events with Forgotten Soldiers Outreach and was so moved by this organization and the amazing work that they do that I am now on the board of directors and supporting this organization every way that I can.
There is no true way, in words, to describe the feeling one gets when they receive a care packages from FSO. Maybe Christmas morning comes close. My soldiers and I were recipients of FSO packages during OIF 2010, and am amazed at the kindness, love and attention to detail put into each package. Some packages were the only mail some of my soldiers received during deployment. Can you imagine.
I want you to close your eyes and imagine being alone, in a strange place far away from home, no comforts of home, and not knowing if you will ever see home again and not getting letters or packages from home during mail call. How are you feeling after imagining this scenario. Now imagine receiving a care package from FSO.
Yes we have email, Skype, Facebook and other social media... Mail call is special, getting a letter or package from home is a morale booster. Telling us someone cares and appreciates what our military personnel are doing and sacrificing for our country. FSO packages fills this empty void one can feel especially in a combat zone.
Thank you FSO for loving and helping to remind all of our military personnel someone back home loves and cares about us and thanking us for our service and sacrifice to our great nation.
I love the pay it forward packages in the primary boxes. No one gets left out of mail call.
Love and graditude to Lynelle, Jennelle, volunteers and sponsors that are involved in FSO.
I have been a volunteer for FSO for many years. I am amazed at the outpouring of support for this organization, from the number of people who volunteer to help pack care packages, maintain our warehouse of donated goods, to schools that write letters to our soldiers and to all the volunteers who work long hours at fundraisers to raise funds to send the care packages. Our recipients, many who don't get any packages from home, are so grateful for what we do!
This is by far the best organisation that I have dealt with I'm and united states army sergeant deployed in support of operation enduring freedom Afghanistan they send out care packages to a lot of my Buddy's and also to me it helps build moral and keeps us feeling great knowing that people are taking time out of their day just to write to us and also send us small items that help out while deployed!!
This is such an important organization. So often we focus our attention on soldiers after they return. We forget about the thousands of men and women who are so many miles away from home without the simple comforts we sometimes take for granted. To our friends and family, our children this organization is a lifeline.
Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, Inc,. is the door that opened that changed my life forever. Throughout my career beginning as a mission-focused counselor and wife of a combat veteran with PTSD, I have advocated for hundreds of veteran clients, as well as caring for my husband in getting the services and treatment veterans deserve. I have worked with hundreds of community volunteers in other organizations through the years and many community partners in Alachua and Marion Counties, but Palm Beach County is by far the best with eliminating the red tape. If your mission is to help a soldier or veteran, Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, Inc. gets it done. PERIOD! This organization is a grassroots based ministry that has flourished because of the Grace of God where He gets all the Glory. From "we care packages that are sent overseas to assisting local veterans & their families with furniture, products, food & supplies. FSO answers Yes, I can help you and we can do that right now, today!
I love that Forgotten Soldiers Outreach goes above and beyond to support and help all of our troops to have that little piece of home in care packages while deployed away from family and loved ones. All the volunteers are extraordinary and most know what it feels like being a soldier themselves or have had family in our military. This is the ultimate sacrifice and to bring a smile to their faces to know they are not forgotten and loved by fellow Americans....well how could you top that? I love Forgotten Soldiers Outreach and all that they do. God Bless the United States of America and our Soldiers. May you NEVER be forgotten.

P.S. Forgotten Soldier Outreach has a wonderful hot sauce as well! A must try!
I love that Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, Inc. takes care of our troops while they are deployed. Forgotten Soldiers Outreach is unique than other non for profits that take care of the troops because they take care of the service members that receive little to no support from home. My own son and his brothers in arms have received the care packages that Forgotten Soldiers Outreach sends out. These packages boost their morale's and mean a lot to the recipients. I love Forgotten Soldiers Outreach for what they do.
This is a wonderful organization!! They send "we care" packages to our servicemen and women on active duty that get little to no support from home.... The packages are a HUGE moral boost for the servicemen and women!! We started volunteering here about 7 years ago... They have volunteers from age 7 to 97.. We have to make sure that no soldier is ever forgotten!! Please help support this awesome organization!!!
Forgotten Soldiers Outreach has been serving our military personnel since 2003. The organization and the volunteers are so dedicated to getting the monthly "we care' packages out to our deployed service members. No matter what is going on in the world, the goal is to support the troops. I am so proud to be associated with such an awesome and caring organization.
This is a well-respected charity in our community. That is why many churches in our area are willing to fund raise for them. It is heart breaking to think that any of our young men and women fighting in foreign countries would not get a package from home, but it happens. Forgotten Soldiers fills that need. My son was deployed four times, and he was happy to receive "We Care" packages from Forgotten Soldiers, which he shared with other soldiers. The postage to send these packages is expensive. Don't forget to support this organization through your donation.

This is the only not for profit store that I have ever seen that truly is in this business to help our military. They have quality furniture and treasures for everyone. Keep up the great work and God Bless
Awesome and dedicated organization devoted to sending "we care" packages to our military who sacrifice their lives and that of their families for our freedom.

I initially read about FSO in the newspaper. I visited the warehouse and immediately signed up to volunteer. I try to help and donate any way I can. FSO makes sure that those who are sacrificing their lives for us receive a piece of home, and are reminded that they are appreciated. FSO even often helps soldiers when they come home and their families. No one is forgotten. It is a great oganization with an awesome group of devoted people.
Great Organization which is solely operating for the benefit of our active duty military members and their families and our services members who are returning and their families. We also service any military person no matter when they may have served our country if they are in need we are their to do what we can. God Bless our heroes
I have known about Forgotten Soldiers Outreach for many years. I belong to a non profit group in Homestead and we heard about them when their Executive Director came and spoke to our group about her organization. It touched our hearts deeply. We ended up renting a charter bus and traveled from Homestead, FL up to Lake Worth to see what they were all about. We spent the day with them and packed over 300 care packages to our troops around the world. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Recently, my son was sent overseas and throughout his deployment he actually received several care packages from FSO. We are truly thankful for FSO and all their staff members and volunteers. You will never meet a more down to earth and truly amazing group of people.
As the Executive Director and Founder of Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, it is with a humble heart and tears in my eyes that we have benefited well over 350,000 of our military to date, covering all world theaters and all branches of the military via our monthly "We Care" packages since 2003. It is simply amazing to see the dedication and commitment we receive from volunteers not only from Palm Beach County, but all over the state and throughout the country, where individuals find it in their hearts to help show support of our troops through our venue. We have something for everyone to get involved wherever you live, to be able to show your support of our mission. Our Educators link is utilized by schools throughout the country, in which the bulk of the letters of encouragement included in ALL of our "We Care" packages come from students throughout the country, the donated care package items are collected by individuals, groups, parties, etc and we are always in need of that, most importantly, volunteers and commitment are the heart of FSO, and of course, recognition to assist us in obtaining the funds constantly needed to cover the costs of the shipping and related cost of sending out the monthly "We Care" packages to our troops serving overseas. Our aim is to reach out to those who receive little or no support from the homefront! Unfortunately, this is very true and over the years this has become VERY commonplace. It's heart wrenching. Our volunteers and staff work 365 days a year to assure that our troops are never forgotten.
The best part is receiving the emails and letters of appreciation and flags flown on our behalf from our recipients, that is what keeps us going and doing what we do! !!! It is the most rewarding experience of my life, and wouldn't have it any other way!
Blood, Sweat and Tears, but still it's nothing like what our military overseas provides to us at home, day in and day out, 24/7. Thank you for supporting FSO, and please spread the word to your friends, family and associates.
It is very easy to describe the level of service FSO contributes to their community, region and country. One word comes mind: dedication. For 10 years, under the direction of Lynelle Zelnar, this group has grown nationally sending over 400 care packages to troops overseas. Think about what a crew package contains. It is a slice of home that brings warmth and comfort to our men and women fighting for our freedom. Some servicemen don't even know it's being mailed to them. Toothpaste, books, pictures, snacks and snickers. You name it we have it and they get it. Beyond the tangible items there is a thought inside each package. A small token to say thank you for sacrificing your life and your time away from your family to protect us. Imagine if we all could share in this endeavor. What a better place the world world be. There's nothing better than seeing a man or woman in uniform at the airport and saying thank you. Those care packages represent the same experience without the presence of human interaction. It gives soldier a lift on the battlefield letting them know they are not forgotten. I can't think of a better non profit deserving of this recognition. Why don't you join us and spread the word about the mission of Forgotten Soldiers Outreach. You can make a difference in the lives of our military families.
I have been to a few packing events for Forgotten Soldiers and it brings great joy to see the love that goes into every box. This group is simply amazing at what they do. They give our troops a boost of encouragement with the letters that are sent with the boxes.....not to mention the actual box that is stuffed full of good stuff they need. We need to let our troops know we haven't forgotten about them. My best friend was in Desert Storm and always told me he never felt like they got any love from home. I have seen pictures and videos of our troops opening the boxes. You can only imagine the smile they have on their face. Brings tears to your eyes to see how happy it makes them to open their box. One soldier even mentioned its like Christmas every month for him when he gets his box. Our troops need our support and Forgotten Soldiers Outreach gives them a ton of it. There isn't any group like this in the world.
My family has been a proud volunteer for over 5 years now. My daughter needed 5 hours of community service to obtain her black belt in Taekwondo. We saw a news report about FSO and decided to give them a try. Well fast forward 5 years later and about 1,000+ hours we are still volunteering for this great group. It gives us great joy to give some love from home to our brave men and woman who are protecting our freedom. The items they get are vital for their everyday living needs. This group brings a vital moral boost for our troops who are away from their homes and more important their family. FSO is not just a group but they are family. Many of the volunteers has loved ones who served and want to give back. FSO simply stands for no soldier will be forgotten. There is no nonprofit like it in the world IMO. My family will be a volunteer till every last soldier is home.
I have been with Forgotten Soldiers from its beginning. Reading the thank you letters and meeting servicemen and women that have received packages from FSO has been the highlight. Packing events bring the action to showing our support for our US Military. The best part is knowing you've sent a piece of home and encouragement to people who are putting their lives on the line for us.
The first time I walked into the warehouse, I teared up. It was amazing to see all of the donated items and to partake in putting the care packages together. I have personally met a recipient of Forgotten Soldiers Outreach and he expressed his deep gratitude for the organization. With the growing number of soldiers signing up for care packages, we need to spread the word to continue receiving donations and funds to ship the packages overseas.
Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, Inc. is an awesome group. They have a warehouse that has a lot of items that they send to the troops. Coming in and helping makes me feel good.

The mission of FSO is to insure that young men and women who volunteer to put on the uniform of our nation and then put their lives on the line every day, know and trust that people back here at home, care about their sacrifice.
We want them to know we haven't forgotten and we are willing to show how much we respect that service by packing and mailing "Care" packages containing letters of encouragement, and items they need but can't always get in such faraway outposts near battle zones.
With donated items we recieve at our national operations center in Lake Worth, Florida, we are able to keep the packages filled with goodies, personal necessities and of course the letters, many from children, which the soldiers serving overseas truly look forward to recieving. The packages go to individual soldiers, or to squads.
Soldiers themselves can ask for the packages to be sent by mail or on line, or family members can contact us with addresses to deliver packages to their loved ones who are over there protecting our freedom.
