The people at Home for Foster Kids are dedicated to helping. They find family members and give these kids a chance at a decent life. They do what no one else can do. I've been supporting them for years, and i am continually amazed at the impact they have made on each kid's life. We all want to go home to family. They do it.

Forever Homes for Foster Kids is a great organization that helps get foster children
adopted into a permanent "forever" home, or reunited with their family. It is such a
worthwhile cause and an organization of hard working staff who are dedicated to their
cause. I recommend this nonprofit to be top rated - it certainly is to me!

Forever Homes for Foster Kids is a much-needed organization in the foster care community. Too many foster youth spend an inordinate amount of time in care - many their entire lives - and Forever Homes for Foster Kids has helped reunite thousands of foster youth with their biological families. Studies show that children are often better off in their biological and/or kinship homes than in foster care, with the exception of abuse and/or neglect. I am thankful this organization does its due diligence in locating families for what I call the "forgotten kids" left in care until they age out, often without basic life skills or support. Bless you for helping the kids!

Because I grew feeling abandoned and all alone, I think that in this day and age, when everything seems to pull apart families, it is comforting to know that there is an organization willing to step out of the ordinary to perform the extraordinary, holding on to its dream to give children the tools and attention they need to understand that in “Forever Homes For Foster Kids” they will have a family, a place where it is O.K. to dream and be happy.

My role is a taxpayer watching government agencies waste money instead of trying to help the children placed in foster homes. It's a tragedy that this organization which has successfully reunited children with their families is not used to their full potential. Their success should not be ignored.

Richard and his team are providing a much needed service to reuniting families separated by immigration issues, as well as finding forever homes for children without families. With the recent issues at our border, this service is needed now more than ever!

Forever Homes for Foster Kids provides a great, important service, that of helping agencies locate blood relatives of children stuck in foster care. They have the specialized knowledge and expertise to quickly find relatives when the agencies themselves can't - or haven't tried. It's remarkable that FHFK can be of such assistance to foster children while never having direct contact with any of them - just the agencies. They help each agency make the most of governmentally available funds earmarked for family finding, and reunite children with family members who can provide a more stable, hopefully loving home than foster care. Invisibly, this group works miracles in foster children's lives. A most worthy non-profit.

What this non-profit does and how little money it exists on currently is extraordinary.

Imagine a scenario like this.

A man is going to prison for 10 years. He has a 15-year old who doesn't know of any other family she can live with as her mom abandoned her when she was a baby and went back to Mexico. If there is no family, this 15-year old will go into the foster care system. The case worker gives Forever Homes for Foster Kids the file. Their goal is to find the extended family and see if they will adopt the child before she goes into foster care.

The twist here, the family is Latino so finding family requires other skills like not only speaking, writing and reading Spanish but also an understanding of the culture. It is rare that calling the grandmother in Mexico will result in her trusting you enough to let you know that she has a cousin in L.A.

One more twist, Mexico does not have a white pages. It is hard to contact someone so far away when you don't' have their phone number. But this non-profit has special resources that no one else has. The founders of this non-profit lived and worked in Mexico for 10+ years so they are able to contact people they know all over Mexico who will send someone out and get that contact information.

The work and dedication of the few people at this non-profit is inspiring. I've donated money to them because I see how they use it and it Is being used well and to the benefit of so many.

Think of how much money it saves us to get a child out of Foster care and placed with family. Think of how much better the life is for a child who isn't placed in foster care but with family instead.

My goal is to see this non-profit get big enough that they can get through every case for every Latino in the foster care. They have a high success rate of finding families.

I am not fluent in Spanish so I can't help them with cases but I can help by giving money so that they can reunite kids with relatives.

I have worked closely with Richard Villasana, the Founder of Forever Homes for Foster Kids. The first thing that stands out about Richard is his passion for helping foster children. It's obvious that it's what drives him to work tirelessly and persistently to improve the lives of this unfortunate segment of the population. The second thing that stands out, almost as quickly as I noticed his passion, is his vast knowledge on the foster care system, as well as the challenges within the system that he's working to improve. Additionally, his ability to find family members of foster children is nothing short of impressive and amazing, even with only a small amount of information to work from. Complementing those qualities is his high level of integrity.

I highly recommend utilizing the services for Forever Homes for Foster Kids. Richard is the real deal, and you will not be disappointed. He will exceed your expectations, just as he exceeded mine.
