Mission: The mission of the Forbes House Museum is to explore America’s birth as a global economic power in the 19th century through the prism of one family’s inspiring stories of adventure, innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and civic leadership. It is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable trust. Through exhibitions, festivals, and educational and cultural programs, the Museum fosters an understanding and appreciation of the era and enhances the educational and social life of the community.
