Awesome dedicated people to promote integration, diversity , inclusive community , empowering children to succeed at school and in life.
For the Children is more than a school. It's a home away from. Where the staff members are our extended family.
The kids put on a Talent Show out of this World it was very entertaining also the kids was very corporate about keeping their face mask on. As a volunteer of this nonprofit organization I was very proud of them all. Thanks also to Ms. Trudy for her compassion for the kids & her professionalism.
they help us with homework and take us to fun field trips, educational trips. they encourage us to do what’s right from wrong♂️
My experience with For the Childern has been excellent, the staff is great, they are great the kids, always opening the kids minds to new things, helping their development skills, Banking, how to apply for Jobs, how to fill out College applications, how to garden, how to cook the list goes on. Just truly growing them to be stellar in the community, and in life
I haven’t seen another after school program that does so much with the kids.
Great Job for the Children, keep up the excellent work
Yec is a good place to be because you can make friends from different schools and you can learn more. Mostly, you have staffs to help you when you need it. Not to boast but my favorite two teachers are Ms.Rose and Ms.Latoya. If you are looking for a place for your child and you are in florida i suggest you take your child to For The Children Inc
This program is really good for growing kids! It helps them develop skills and friendships with each other! Highly recommend this program.
For the Children Inc have helped me grow a lot through out the years. I have learn so many different things.
I joined this program at a young age and I am happy to say they have helped me develop into this smart young woman. They haVe helped with so many things. Such as school, making friends, and they helped me with my confidence. This is a place where my education is important
I joined this program at a young age and it helped me learn and grow. They’re always there supporting mentally and physically and I am thankful.
They always care about children first and makes sure that we focus in school to better our education and our future
I started attending FTC (for the children) about three years ago and I’ve never looked back since. it’s full of warm-hearted staff that teach young children like us to become leaders. There’s respect on both ends( staff and students) and there’s a handful of welcoming volunteers. Going there makes my day much more fun.
Yec has always been there for me as a support group, or if i ever needed help on anything, whether it’s in school or just in life, Yec has always came through.
This organization has taught me a lot of things such as to become more socialable, taught me how to do a interview for a job, and much much more.
I have encountered and worked with both the children and the staff of For The Children for nearly a decade. I am an artist and the director of Flamingo Clay studio, Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery in Lake Worth Beach Florida. If I were to imagine the finest of all educational settings for children, where they learn educational and social skills, it would not come close to the wonderful work done at For The Children. Every child thru teen I have encountered is loving, curious, friendly, talented and bright. This is not always the case in the general population, but is is always the case with the children and the staff. I have worked both in the arts with the teens, as well as in organizing and participating in street festivals to showcase their works. If 10 stars were available, I would give this organization an 11.
"For the Children" is a place where loving kindness reigns. The stakeholders and community as a whole need to embrace the vision. With the support of everyone this will continue to be a safe haven for this generation and the generations to come.
My experience with this organization started in 2016 as a love story with a continuously happy development. I have butterflies in my belly just by talking about this happy place for children and families. My 4 year-old client, struggling with emotional difficulties, found solace at "For the children" by using the teachers and staff as secure bases. I have to mention that all my client's cousins and neighbors had their share of the positive experience as well. It was such a delight to spend my weekly hour in this healthy environment where joy and peace are contagious. It was therapeutic for myself as well to see selflessness at work for the common good. As I learn more about the company I get involved as a volunteer because it's all for a good cause.
My direct experience with this nonprofit started in 2015 when I had to advocate for daycare services for two children under 5 from an under-privileged family. I was so touched with the compassion the staff displayed. Also, I met the CEO for the very first time. My first impression was that she was humble unlike the other CEOs and her devotion towards children is genuine. She seemed to have a vision to secure a crisis intervention and prevention for the community. I've thus visited the site in several occasions. The atmosphere seems pleasant and the children seem to have a home away from home. Basic needs and security are being met for the children, which is most needed in our community. Kuddos, For the Children, Inc.!!!
I came in contact with For The Children Inc a few years ago when I was working as a Job Developer for Youth Co-op Inc. I had a client who was going to start a job and was looking for a childcare when someone recommended For The Children Inc as a place safe and secure for his child. I personally took my client to register his child. The Staff at For the children was great, professional and caring.
My client reported that it was one of the best decision he has made that he is very happy with the service and the daily activities that For The Children had to offer. He reported that his child after a few weeks in the program started behaving differently, that he become happier, he developed a love for reading. It was to his greatest satisfaction.
I, today, still encourage my clients who live in the Lake Worth area to send their kids to For The Children Inc when looking daycare, aftercare for this is " A place for a place where children came first" . For The Children Inc has program for children from 3 years old thru 18 years old. This is the only organization who has a after-school program for youth 13-18 in the area
Hello For The Children Inc, Keep on the good work!!!
I have had the pleasure to see the ascent of this organization from its humbling beginnings in 1999 through today. I have witnessed the hardships and the starts again, the growing from 25 children to over 400, and the expansion from one program for elementary students to a continuum of care from pre-k to high school. It is a place where children and youth succeed in school as the majority never drop out, they are promoted to higher grades as expected and for high school seniors, they graduate on time. But more importantly, It is the resilience and endurance of its leadership that has allowed children to develop into adults under the same roof working on their dreams until they become a reality. For me, For the Children is more than an after school program, it is a place of hope for a brighter future and a safe heaven for children that as caterpillars wait for their moment to become butterflies ready to meet the world.
I remember a high school boy struggling to keep his grades up, playing sports was his only way put of the troubles he face home. When he came to For The Children. Inc he did not know what to expect he didn't wanna talk to no one stayed to himself for a while but one women Ms. Latoya Taylor would speak to him on a daily get him used to the program a year later that same young men is passed being on track for graduation passed his SAT in the first try thanks to For The Children he's now and A/B student am I that young man Thank You so much For The Children.
There is no way to explain the ways that For The Children has helped me build as an individual. During my time here I developed my verbal communication skills, reached academic excellence and gained better control of my emotions. I would especially like to think Ms. Latoya Taylor, director at one of the FTC sites for her dedication and never giving up on me even though she had many reasons to. Without her and the program, I don’t know where I would be right now. Thanks Ms Reggie!
Early childhood education is known to impact lifelong achievement in education, careers, citizenship, etc. Too many "pre-schools" are really just babysitting services, giving the kids very little reading readiness, math, exposure to new experiences or diverse peoples. For The Children, in Lake Worth Beach, Florida, is the rare gem of a SCHOOL, that lives up to that calling, providing needed skills to excel in life. Their after-school programs of give the kids, not only homework support and educational enrichment, but also build self-confidence in a safe and nurturing environment.
This nonprofit lives up to its name!! It is definitely For The Children. From a caring staff to positive role models, great education to fun activities, and an all around great community centered nonprofit, this place is a total package when it comes to your child being cared for and loved. If you need help as a parent all you have to do is ask and someone at one of their locations will help you find resources to fit your need. My children attended and now my grandchildren attend. This place is a diamond in the rough for sure!!!!
