I am a proud supporter of Foothill Family because their philosophy and approach to achieving their mission are unique in a burdened, overwhelming landscape of mental health and social services. Their success with clients and the communities they serve is a result of their broad range of programs, how they overlap to provide in-depth care, and the ways they approach that care to include family members and/or personal relationships for added support of client treatment and progress. It is truly a remarkable organization, made clear by it's long-standing presence and continued growth in the community.

I recently had a chance to see Foothill Family Service in action. They are an incredible organization that believes in early intervention and importantly in the wrap around approach. They approach issues with an individual child not in a vacuum but rather aim to touch every member of the family, giving the entire family the skills necessary to address the issues of that child and overcome their own problems. Their approach is incredibly thoughtful, professional and caring. Which is a must when dealing with children especially as young as infants. And even their less well known programs such as the perpetrator’s treatment groups – a 52 week program to help abusive parents identify and control their emotions, is quietly making a difference in the lives of current and future families.

I just started my tutoring job at FFS and wanted to say that my experience with the job has far exceeded my expectations. The people I work with are lovely and the kids are fantastic. I enjoy the work I do, especially when I can see such immediate results. I truely believe that I'm making a difference in these kids lives, and its nice to know I'm part of an organization that allows me to do that.
