My personal experience as a staff @ Foot Print to Success Clubhouse has been a great one. I have been a part of the clubhouse since it first started, it has brought me a sense of gratitude being able to work side by side with members to help them build confidence in knowing that they are able to succeed in finding a job through transitional employment.
In a period of 13 years I have seen personally this agency provide the best practice programs for people with mental disabilities and helped hundreds of clients and family members navigate the services and resources of the mental health community while at the same time provide a safe place for them to come a recover the skills they have lost due to their illness and/or learn a new skill or career to be able to work and become independent. There are few places that the staff and clients operate as one big family and is truly reinvigorating to see the positive outcomes of this dynamic. The organization is changing lives in a society that has look the other way and has not make it a priority. All of us know someone affected by mental illness but not many successful resources to get people back in their feet.

Foot Print to Success Clubhouse has some great programs. I hope others will visit, get involved, volunteer, donate, leave a positive review, ...
Footprint to Success Clubhouse in Pompano Beach, Florida filled a great need in the community when it was started a couple of years ago. It is a model based on Fountainhouse in NYC. I was thrilled when it was started here as funding for mental health services in Florida seems to be at the bottom of the 50 states. I recently visited Fountainhouse in NYC and I wish Footprint to Success had the financial support they have there- I was told the one in NYC was given a donation in the millions of dollars. There they have weekend and evening activities and it has 5 floors and a farm in NJ with alopaca (animals that look like llamas) and organic vegetables. Lets give Footprint more support and maybe it too can eventually offer more services and get more community support like the one in NYC which has been there since 1948.

Footprint to Success Is located in Pompano Beach near the Tri-rail and near bus route 34 so it's convenient for those who don't drive. It is based on Clubhouse International which is clientele run. The clients can go to the community garden if they want to and help with organic gardening. From there they use the vegetables and fruits to prepare meals at the clubhouse. There are culinary duties like shopping for food and gardening supplies, preparing the weekly menu, and business duties like financial data being entered into the computers, also media and social planning is done. It's an excellant pre-vocation place for those with serious and chronic mental illness. I love it!
Going to the clubhouse trains me for work and keeps me busy with different projects. I got one on one help from staff, learned about gardening, video mechanics, and different computer programs. The food is excellent tasting and I look forward to coming here.
I really enjoy coming to Foot Print to Success Clubhouse. I have been a Member for ten months and have made a lot of new friends. Thanks to the Clubhouse, I have a volunteer job at Boca Raton Hospital, where I am acquiring workplace and life skills that will help me obtain paid employment in the future. I like the experience of working there. It feels like a real job and I am busy all the time. When I am ready for a real job, the Clubhouse will help me achieve this goal. I am confident in their ability to find employment for me because they offer excellent career services and job coahcing.
I am a volunteer &mental health advocate for 25 years, since I joined the clubhouse my life has changed. The hands on activities with the clubhouse members , the relationship form and the mentoring I am able to do has been life transforming for me as a volunteer and for the members.
We are a big family where we accept each other and work towards becoming better people. I have seen many of our members that have been living for many years with the stigma of mental illness ,feel accepted, included and with hope for a better future. They come to our clubhouse with different reasons but the common factor for all is ; to be treated with respect and dignity in a safe environment. They find their potential and regain confidence to learn and work at the same time building new friends.
I will be always in gratitude for this experience, Sandra
My experience at the "foot print for success clubhouse" was a positive one. As a proffessional in the field of mental health, I was verry impressed in the the cossumers were involved in learning new skills. The club house shows how different a real clubhouse is from just a dropping center. Good job.

My experience at the Foot Print to Success Clubhouse has been a really good one. I have been able to obtain many of the skills that I was lacking on to sustain a job.Everyone there work together as a team and not as individuals. I am always thrilled to come learn new things at the clubhouse.
I referred my daughter to this organization and see the positive changes in her from her involvement. She has made new friends and developed her strengths in implementing and completing projects for the organization. Her social and interpersonal skills have also improved. I've shown members the keys to financial management and members have learned to manage their money better as a result.

My personal experience as a member of Foot Print to Success Clubhouse has been a great one. I have been a part of the clubhouse since it first started, its given me lots of opportunities to increase my self esteem, build my confidence. Not only has it helped me with my self esteem, but I was able to go through the 6 to 9 months transitional employment. I am very thrilled to be apart of the Clubhouse.

Because I am a mental health consumer, I wasinspired me to become a part of the Foot Print to Success Clubhouse family . The Clubhouse fosters recovery through meaningful work experiences that build confidence and self-esteem. The Clubhouse is about self empowerment and charting your own course to success. Members have the opportunity to hone their consumer skills, take financial self-management courses, learn about website design and receive job coaching services, etc. Most of all members have a second chance to rebuild their lives.
The clubhouse is a recovery based program designed to support individuals living with mental illness. Foot Print To Success Clubhouse does this through employment opportunties, shared clubhouse contributions and relationship building. I like the clubhouse program because it focuses on the strengths, talents and abilities of individuals with mental illness and forsters a sense of community and partnerships.
Foot Print to Success is such a unique program. It goes way beyond being a job training program. The people they serve consider themselves a family. They all work together to achieve the same goal of going back to work and breaking the isolated lives they had.
I love that the members run the entire Clubhouse. You can see they take so much pride in the work they do.
