Mission: Our mission is to Feed People Not Landfills. We pick up food and deliver it to non-profit organizations throughout Los Angeles that are feeding hungry people. We created a network that incorporates volunteers and uses an app to better recover and route donations.
Results: We are currently delivering almost 70,000 meals a week to a network of 200 nonprofits. During 2020, we focused on directing more food into community based organizations in the food deserts of Los Angeles. We are collaborating and using innovative technology to fight hunger and climate change. We have created a model for change that is using new ideas to solve old problems

Direct beneficiaries per year: prevent more than 5 million pounds of food from being thrown into landfills

Programs: A network that connects excess food to over 200 different nonprofits serving food insecure populations throughout Los Angeles County. FoodCycle is dedicated to helping transform the food system in order to eliminate hunger and fight climate change.
FCLA has been a lifesaver for many. The volunteers work around the clock to recover food and distribute it widely.
