Mission: Food for His Children's mission is for individuals, families and communities to become all they were created to be. We seek to eradicate extreme poverty in East Africa, one family, one dairy goat at a time. Check out Bernadetta's story here https://youtu.be/AaMM1_6JXbc or in the videos on our page. Why community development and not just relief? Simple. Relief, though temporarily helpful, is a quick-fix. Community development addresses the root of the problem, while fostering empowerment and transforming lives. We start with one materially-poor family. We provide them a dairy goat along with veterinary support and agriculture training. We offer spiritual sustenance through the Gospel. We help them set goals. We watch them succeed. A goat is more than just an animal; it’s like an efficient engine. Goats provide up to four liters of rich milk a day, which initially is used to sustain families, providing much-needed nutrition. Their manure fertilizes crops which doubles the harvest. Eventually, families can sell goat milk and use that income to send children to school, build safe and structurally-sound homes, start independent businesses and pay for medical expenses.

Results: Food for His Children has worked with over 400 families since 2008. We have over 900 goats in our program, about 3000 people in 11 different villages. Numbers are impressive, but we seek whole life transformation. The kind that doesn't happen overnight, sometimes it takes years. Victoria's story tells it all. Because of YOU, Victoria is eating well and no longer suffers from malnourishment and health issues! Christian Gwilia, Field Officer, tells Yese Niodemus's story. When Yese and his family joined FFHC in 2009 and received their goat, life was very difficult. Yese's very beautiful daughter Victoria suffered from malnutrition and related health problems for a long time. Yese took good care of their dairy goat and her milk greatly impacted Victoria’s health improvement! Months passed and God continued to show his face of love to Victoria through the goat from FFHC, until finally Victoria recovered. In addition to milk, the goat also provides manure for fertilizing their fields, increasing crop production. The family has sold 4 bucks and funds were used to renovate the goat shed, purchase iron sheets for their house, pay for school fees and other basic needs. Yese’s family dreams that one day, if God wishes, they can build a brick house, continue to ensure a good education for their children and be financially independent. They expect to achieve this in 2018. Yese’s wife, Agripina said, 'It’s like a miracle and that is why she is always taking care of the goat by any means so that other people who are not the members of the project has to be attracted and finally join the project.’ Through their goat project and other small business activities, they can now send their children to a private school. Agripina also stated there are still several families who are suffering from poverty in their village and she believes the goat keeping project is the main tool to rescue them from poverty. Did I mention that when we prayed for Yese's family in 2009 and anointed them with crosses on their foreheads, they were Muslim? After that meeting, they gave their hearts and lives to Jesus! Today Yese is a leader in his church. Go God!! None of this would be possible without your support and prayers.

The vision of the organization is not only to provide help to Tanzanian rather empower them to find a better way to success in life in a Godly fashion.  I have watched Kerri throughout years dedicated her life  and blessed Tanzanian in Karatu; as well as bring awareness that everything is possible if you work hard and have faith in God.

As a board member , I would encourage you to participate into this organization  with your contribution which continues to bless more people and eliminate poverty especially in rural areas in Tanzania.  Remember, you are blessed to be a blessing and together (people from US and Tanzanian), we can serve the lord with his blessings.

I first learned about "FOOD FOR HIS CHILDREN" about 8 years ago at church when Kerrie gave a presentation at Hosanna church in Bursnville, mn. She spoke with such passion about the "GOAT" ministry she was starting in Tanzania, Africa that I just knew that I had to help. "FOOD FOR HIS CHILDREN" has grown from one person with a vision to helping hundreds of people and from a part time job to a full time one. I spent some time with her 3 weeks ago and I can tell you she is just as passionate to day as all thous years ago. she is a young lady that has been touched by "GOD" to help his CHILDREN and she is doing just that..
If you have a heart to help people have a better life then I can think of no other ministry to fund.

Food for His Children is devoted to community development in rural Tanzania. This organization employs Tanzanian staff who come alongside families in the Karatu district to walk with them and help them discover and develop their gifts to overcome material poverty. FFHC uses the loan of a dairy goat to bring about lasting generational change- and they are truly transforming the lives of entire villages! I love this organization because they are prudent with their resources and practice the principles of “helping without hurting.”

I have been volunteering with Food For His Children over the last 8 years. This organization follows the principles of applying “When HelpingHurts: Alleviating Poverty Without Hurting the Poor...and Yourself.” Rather than doing things for people, which creates dependency and can perpetuate feelings of worthlessness, FFHC partners with and empowers families and communities to recognize and develop their own resources to bring themselves out of material poverty. FFHC does transformational work and is passionate about community development and the people they serve and partner with.

Kerrie is the hardest executive director I have ever worked with. She is creative, energetic, is constantly working to care well for her staff and her mission, always open to new thoughts and ideas and is a learner. I respect all she has built and breathed life into her mission, helping hundreds of families in Tanzania.

I would like to recommend, "Food for His Children", as an established non-profit that is a christian based organization. They work in the Aruza Tanzania area of Africa and provide a pathway for poor families to receive a young milking goat for them to raise. With, time, and training skills provide through FFHC, they can provide milk for their families and schooling for their children. They had a really good video this year that can tell the story better then I can. Please check out the video about , "Bernadeth's Story" by FFHC - Dave Peterson

I absolutely love the model of this organization and how it’s structure walks alongside individuals, families and communities to reach their full potential. I have watched people grow and develop, from hopelessness and brokenness, and transform into people with dignity and presence in their communities, building the confidence necessary to develop their personal and communal voice for good. A change in one person will and has made incredible contributions to family units and communities. Simply beautiful.

I’m so impressed with this organization which began as just an dream and has grown into something amazing! Giving the gift of a goat and training has transformed so many lives in Tanzania! I love how they teach people how to care for their goats and yet have expectations for each family to also share a goat and teach others too! God must certainly be smiling down on FFHC!

This is my favorite mission because they do so much to connect me to the missions with their work on Facebook and other communications. I feel like I know exactly how my money is being spent. What they do is train families how to care for a goat, and then give them a goat. The families served do not seem to be starving, but they do not get enough protein. When the children add goat milk to their diets their health dramatically improves.

I love following this charity because they are so good at communicating what they do and the impact it has on lives of real people in Tanzania. The idea is brilliant...give a family a goat and training, and then the family gives back a baby goat after their goat has had a few babies. The family's herd keeps growing. Also, the goat milk is extremely nutritious for the children. It is great to see more children in school and brick homes being built.

I've been supporting Food for His Children for the past few years and find their work to be so inspiring. Kerrie and her group have such a great organization that puts so much effort into directly improving the lives of those they help by not just giving them resources, but by also teaching them to be self-sustaining and to pay that forward. The stories of the people they help and the work they do are so heartening.

I have watched Food for His Children expand its mission over the last ten years. Reading stories on the FFHC website of the impact they have on those they serve is amazing. The small group of volunteers is dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of the poor in rural Tanzania and is constantly coming up with new great ideas of ways to help their clients help themselves through training, education and encouragement. Hiring staff in Tanzania to work with individuals has resulted in rapid growth of its reach. The plans to build the farm to breed its own goats to give to those in need, as well as serving as a training and demonstration site for goat and agricultural projects, opens up new opportunities to improve lives.

One day I went to interview Pastor Kerrie for a video about Food For His Children. The last thing on TV and I headed out the door was a commercial for an expensive SUV vehicle and how we all must have one. Then Pastor Kerrie told me about how people's lives in Tanzania can be helped tremendously with just the addition of a goat. And it doesn't cost very much to help an entire family with just a goat. I went from day-dreaming about a new Range Rover to just wanting to help a family far away. Thank you, Food For His Children, for all that you do to make this possible. I know that families will be helped thanks to you Pastor Kerrie & Rob & the entire FFHC team! Thank you! Bob & Susan

Food For His Children is a great organization that is providing outstanding support in rural areas of Tanzania. The founder and executive director Kerrie, her husband Rob and the staff are very passionate about helping families in need in Tanzania. FFHC starts by giving a goat along with veterinary support and agricultural training. Each goat changes the lives of these families by providing milk to consume and to sell for income. In addition, FFHC transforms communities by helping them maintain a strong relationship with God and one another.

Volunteering for FFHC has been one of the most rewarding and an amazing learning experience of my life. Kerrie and Rob are appreciative, caring and encouraging of volunteers. It is inspiring to see how many were affected by their phenomenal work and the difference they are making. I am very proud to be part of this organization that has such an impact.

Am one among thousands individual who benefit from this project, i manage to work with this nonprofit organization for not less than 5 years before starting my Law firm so i know the project very well.
Just to comment that people change and we need to become party of this changes as you have been blessed to have what you have so to save the surrounding community not only in Tanzania by in the whole world.
As we depend on God, they also depend on God as we pray they also pray but God make everyone in this world valuable, we have doctors for treatment, engineering for construction, Pastors for faith, military, police for taking care of our security, Lawyer, accountants, business people, politicians, community server, social workers and so on. All this is to make the world nice place to live by depending in each one.
We depend in each they depend from you and you depend from them to have the blessing, all we are doing is for God creation. Let’s know they depend on us and we need them to see the God, we real need them.
They’re not poor because they love to be that way NO, BIG NO the circumstance and environment made them that way.
FOOD FOR HIS CHILDREN come alongside the circumstance and that environment, by starting with training the better use of environment to master the circumstance that make them poor and by giving them dairy goat for sustainable, but them alone as FOOD FOR HIS CHILDREN they cannot make it, we need to participate to that changes.
Let us go alongside FOOD FOR HIS CHILDREN just because we all cannot go at a site/village to help and Gadget the change, we need to trust the work doing by FOOD FOR HIS CHILDREN and we participate though donating to them so they can go and save those community.
The community is blessing but they need you to show the way, Donate and you will be showing the way to make their children go to school, their life to be better than it was, to have better treatment, to enjoy being in his blessing word that your enjoying to.
Am going to DONATE TO FOOD FOR HIS CHILDREN and am encourage you to do the same.

I have been involved with FFHC for about a year now, and have worked with them locally, and in Tanzania! I helped with goat yoga, Goatganza, and also volunteering my time here in Minnesota. This summer I traveled to Tanzania with them to do some teaching with their staff, and then meeting and seeing the families. This was an amazing experience, as I could see first hand what a difference a goat can do for a family. Meeting and working with the staff was truly a heart warming experience as I was able to see their dedication to people in their own country I saw how they believe in FFHC, and how goats can change lives for the better. I was able to meet children who understand how a goat has changed their family's life, and how they now have new hopes and dreams for the future. Children I met and talked with can see how having goat's milk can change their health, but can lead to entrepreneurship, savings, a new home, schooling, and much more. I have been blown away by what FFHS has done so far, and can't wait to see what the future holds for them and the families they support! I am proud to be able to support them as well as volunteering my time!

I have volunteered with Food For His Children in Tanzania, Africa since 2008. Food For His Children helps the rural poor in the Karatu District by coming along side of them and helping them improve living conditions through the micro-loan of dairy goats. Families are receiving education in animal husbandry, agriculture, healthy living and long-term goal planning. Many communities are starting small business as a result of Food For His Children work. The organization is changing lives of individuals, families, and communities; impacting generations. I encourage you to learn more about the work they are doing through holistic community development. www.FoodForHisChildren.org
