For the last three years, Food for Greater Elgin Pantry has been working together with our volunteers, donors, and the community to provide food security for the community of greater Elgin.
Nearly half our clients are children - they need food to grow and learn. One in ten people in our area are food insecure - choosing between food or paying the rent or gas or medicine.
These are our clients (most will use our services during tough times - approximately six months).

Causes: Food, Food Banks & Pantries
Mission: Working together to provide food security for the community of greater elgin.
Programs: Food for greater elgin is a large client choice food pantry serving the greater elgin area. Client choice is an innovative, dignified approach for families to choose their own food items versus pre-bagged groceries. We provide food assistance and access to additional services to thousands of members of our community, half of whom are children. We maximize all donated support - funds, food, and time - with integrity, efficiency and positive stewardship.
