Nonprofit Overview
Mission: To enrich the lives of children with serious illnesses and their families by providing magical, transforming fun through year-round, medically-safe and cost-free camping experiences.
Target demographics: Children with serious illnesses, including; cancer, heart conditions, rheumatoid arthritis, blood disorders, severe asthma, gastrointestinal disorders, kidney conditions and craniofacial anomalies.
Direct beneficiaries per year: The camp hosts hundreds of children and families each year—free of charge.
Geographic areas served: The majority of campers are from Ohio and the Pittsburgh area.
Programs: For a weekend or week at a time, being sick takes a backseat to being a kid. And fun is priority number one. Campers participate in activities like swimming, boating, fishing, archery, high ropes, and arts and crafts. Campers receive first-rate care at the on-site health center, staffed 24/7 by medical professionals from children’s hospitals across Ohio, and beyond.
