Mission: Ffva research and education foundation benefits the general public through initiatives that provide solutions to challenges facing specialty crop producers and their stakeholders.
Programs: Fl agricultural financial management conference of 2017 - the purpose of this program is to provide essential financial risk manangement training for florida's agricultural producers. It is critical that growers have strong financial management skills to proactively manage their risks to remain competitive and viable. The goal is to increase participants risk management skills to: interpret and use data from financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash-flow statements; understand the impact of operating decisions on financial performance, increase comprehension of current analytical practices and techniques; improve day to day financial decision-making by using financial performance metrics and enhance understanding and importance of financial markets, succession planning and overall business manangement and marketing.
emerging leader class vi & vii - identified next generation of leaders in floirda agriculture and equip them with knowledge of issues affecting agriculture, education and tools to deal with those issues, prepare them to improve the sustainability and economic viability of specialty crop agriculture, improve grassroots engagement, and improvements in ffva and other industry organizations.
ag labor forum - annual agricultural labor relations forum for industry updates and labor relations advice from experts. Presents workshops to help employers understand the laws and regulations that govern the agricultural workforce.
