I love how FIX'D not only helps veterans, but their family members too. For example, I volunteered and helped FIX'D make over 300 gift bags to give to children. The kids & parents appreciated this so much. Thank you FIX'D! God Bless!

I am a daughter of a vet which was currently diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I was lost on how to get my dad the best care available to him, and they helped me every step of the way. From medical to just being kind a giving a listening ear. They made me feel like I and my dad matter. Thank you FIX'D! I couldnt have done it without you!

I am excited to hear that John Dubitsky has returned to FIX'D because I know that he truly cares! I was in a terrible car accident in October 2017 that I lost my arm and as I was healing I became a volunteer with FIX'D to see what challenges I could overcome with the help of a Veteran maybe with the same Disability!!

I have been a volunteer with FIX’D since it’s beginning back in 2016. I myself am not a veteran but am truly grateful for all of those individuals that have given part of themselves by serving our country. Every veteran I have met these past few years has given me the opportunity to see that regardless of their branch or their rank, that they all truly care for our country and are each true Americans. Each one of them is their own individual self, with their own opinions, personalities, strengths and
weaknesses, but have learned to become part of a team with the same objective and goal. To protect our Freedom! Many of them making sacrifices that most Americans will never experience. So many have gave their lives for our Freedom. Some others have taken on physical changes to their bodies while protecting our Freedom. Others have had their mental capabilities forever altered for our Freedom. But they all have taken on challenges for our Freedom! They are all heroes and deserve the respect and honor of what it means to be an American! Unfortunately, too many veterans aren’t being treated like they should be. They are left without a way to get the assistance they need and the care they have earned. No matter what their problem may be, there should always be somewhere they can turn to for help. A place that will listen to them without judgement and an open mind, regardless of their issue. A place where they can find guidance, assistance, understanding and the positivity to be able to keep moving forward with their lives. This is what I feel that FIX’D strive to provide. It is an organization that will do whatever they possibly can to show veterans that they are not alone once they’re military service has ended. Even if FIX’D cannot directly remedy an issue, they will be there to support the veteran until something is found that will. FIX’D is truly “Bridging the Gap between NEED and CARE”! And I am honored to be part of their organization!

I am a proud donor to the organization and will continue. It is so nice to see a non profit program like FIX’D go above and beyond with their services and care. They assisted my father in law with the VA and now he is receiving his benefits that were long over due. They rock!

I’m retired, I had a senior enlisted friend give me a call for some help. Being a Tracy Ca resident for some time now, I know Jaime Medina and his military service as well as his FIX’d non profit. I linked my friend up with Jaime, the three of us sat down for an hour or so. We had a great listen and conversation. Jaime recommended a game plan based on that discussion. It was fantastic for the member. That was about three months ago, today his mind is in a good space and he has followed his game plan. It’s unbelievably beneficial when military members have an outlet like FIX’d where they can get help right now, non punitive and they are talking with former military members who get it! Well done Jaime and the whole FIX’d team!

I am a veteran who hit rock bottom at a point in my life. I worked hard to build myself up and made a promise to help veterans in any way I could to not make the same mistakes. One day I met a man who told me about FIX’D and it has given me the chance to mentor veterans and give them hope and inspiration with my story and with my guidance at the same time I am able to get support from other veterans when I need assistance as well. Thank you brothers and sisters at FIX’D

My story begins about 4 weeks ago when my car started giving me random misfire codes. Then 3 weeks ago it just gave out. Well over the previous month and a half my oven took a crap and my ac took a crap too. Mind you I have a wife 3 kids 11,10, 14 month old. Now down to one car they were left at home. To fix the oven and ac depleted anything extra we had on the side. I called a local shop to potentially look at my car and hope they could cut me any slack. They referred me to Jaime at fix’d. I said hmm ok what’s that. She said a great organization that helps veterans in all aspects. I decided to call... told myself what the heck do I have to lose at this point. I called and spoke with a very friendly lady who took down my information. Not long later I got a call from Jaime. He was awesome. Within a few hours of him knowing my situation he was already lining me out at a local shop who has a great reputation. Within a day I had an appointment to get my car in. And when I asked my cost, I was told don’t worry about it right now. Let’s get your car fixed. To make things even more convenient he offered to take my car in for me, so I dropped my car off at his house on a weekend so didn’t have to miss work. Then bam Monday afternoon got a call my car was fixed. He no cost to me but if I’d like to donate to the organization I could. WOW. Words can’t describe how in debt I am to Jaime and this organization for helping my family and I in these tough times. Best experience I’ve ever had.

I've recently learned about this powerhouse of an organization, and all the good they do. FIX'D is something I would have loved to see started back in my day, during the Gulf War or perhaps even further with our guys coming home from 'Nam! I spoke to a few guys at FIX'D and they helped me get my military records that day. I've been trying to square away my VA case for years now and it took them one day. I have to say these guys actually care and will not stop until the issue you have or I have is solved. Well done chaps! Semper Fi !

I got out of the Army National Guard in 2018. I was struggling with depression and unemployment. With no degree and not a lot of high demand skills, it’s hard to translate your military experience to employers. I decided to give Fix’d a chance. I was shy to meet Jaime at first because he had a lot more military experience than me. We talked like two regular guys and afterward I felt like I made a new friend. Fix’d helped me change my perspective and gave me confidence to move forward in civilian life. Whether you were active, guard or reserve, deployed or stationed at home in the U.S. the transition from the military is not easy. I hope Fix’d continues to grow and serve those who have served.

I first found out about this organization through a friend/colleague. She shared with me that she had referred a few people to them and was very impressed with how the organization had had helped those whom she’d referred. I own a yoga studio in town and was quickly motivated to get involved. The founder, Jamie and I found that there were plenty of ways in which we could join forces to help our veterans. I’m proud to say that I’ve worked with Jamie in creating a program in which we can help veterans attend yoga classes to help them cope with challenges that arise. Jamie is a true leader and this organization is a much needed bridge to help so many vets in need.

Where do I begin? Well, I guess I can start off by saying how amazing this organization is. Fixed came into my life about a year ago. Just when life threw its biggest curve ball at me and I felt as if I had no hope left. On Christmas morning last year my parents got into a really bad accident. So bad that we were about to lose them. I was lost, I was confused, I felt alone. But with the help of my comunity and family they made it through. Though I looked ok on the outside I still felt terrible on the inside. I was over whelmed with their after care. Everything was falling on me. They were depending on me. I gave up my job, and my own personal life to help my parents out, to make sure they were ok. Sadly, I put my own feelings to the side. I ignored what my mind was telling me. As a result of that I lost it. I started to have panic attacks and was anxious all the time. Little did I know my life was about to change. I was going to be “fixd” on April 12th 2018, I met Jamie Medina one of the co-founders of FIXD. I’m a strong believer of fate, and I believe that’s what brought us together that day. We started talking and I felt as if I was catching up with an old friend. I explained what I was going through and how I felt. He explained that it’s only normal to feel that way. I poured my heart out and he just listened. Exactly what I needed. Someone to listen to me, not to silence me. The more we talked the more I opened up. The more he helped. I slowly got back into my “old” life. I learned how to put my feelings and needs before others. I felt better about life. Almost 8 months later and he still checks in. Making sure I’m ok. I’m so happy to be a part of the FIXD family. They saved me in so many ways. I honestly encourage everyone and anyone to check them out! Support them! We need them in our community. Without them in my life I don’t know where I would be today. Thank you to Jamie, and the FIXD team. You guys always go above and beyond.

I have been under the care of FIX,D for a few years now and most of my interaction has been advice and counseling. The FIX’D team has always gone above and beyond any other service that I’ve dealt with. My last call for fire with FIX’D team I have no words to describe the level of care that I was under. From the moment I contacted one of the counselors he was in his car in a matter of minutes and drove an hour and a half to get me. Once I was in his care it was like a war room went off and resources were pulled from every corner possible. I would describe this experience it was like being in a firefight and having a team there to back your six. They went above and beyond making calls, pulling funds, calling any favor they had in their pocket and most importantly making me feel safe. I’ve never felt so alone like the day of my EAS and that fear was taken away in seconds of talk to the FIX’D counselor. Although it’s never happened to me this is what is must feel like for a person you barely know to take a bullet for you. To the team at FIX,D services there is no amount of thank you I can give to repay what you’ve done for me. So I can only give one of the most single important symbols I have ever earned my eagle globe and anchor I received in Boot Camp!!! Oorah and Semper Fi. Where the hell is the 10 star button!!!!

Dear FIX’D INC,

I am a believer in God, a USMC veteran, a husband, and a father of one beloved little boy.

Semper Fidelis means “always faithful" and has grown to be on of my favorite sayings because it says so much about who I am as a person. I'm inflexible in trust that what you do matters and also that dignified prosperity isn't given, but it is earned.

We are transitioning back into civilian life and just moved from Camp Pendleton to Tracy, CA and have had a “string of bad luck” you could say.. but we don’t believe in luck. We believe in providence. We believe these trials are God’s way of testing our faith like a toddler tests your patience, the better to show its genuineness.

We had nowhere to go, no money for food, water, gas, etc..., no access to a shower to bathe or brush our teeth or use the restroom, sleeping in a different parking lot every night, getting no sleep because of the anxiety and stress of watching our poor little guy endure all of that still with an innocent smile on his face. But behind those eyes you could see the pain and hurt and the anxiety and stress he, himself was carrying too. Watching a three year old trying so hard to be strong like that is something no parent should have to watch. The guilt alone of watching, feeling, and understanding exactly that YOUR baby is uncomfortable and is going through so much negative out weighs any hurt I think I’ve ever known before.

Just when we thought things couldn’t get any worse, every resource closing the door, every option for us unavailable.. a woman in passing saw me break down crying just looking at my son play so relieved and happily on the nearest playground, she asked if we were okay and I for whatever reason I told her everything all at once. And she handed me a phone number and said call him now.

My wife dialed Jaime’s phone number immediately and within 2 rings he answered. She told him everything she could and before we knew it he had set us up with everything we needed and then some! He gave us so much love and support but most of all his team of angels reassured our faith and hope!

We were told rest and the very next day they were right on top of things making sure we knew we had so many people in our corner advocating for us! It was the biggest relief!, I don’t know what we would have done without them they are by far a blessing!! We cannot say thank you enough Fix’d Inc!!! You literally kept us all safe, happy and healthy and were there when we needed it the most!

Jamie and Fix’d Inc, you were sent from heaven!

As we all know today is a struggle. The struggle to gain financial stability can really take a toll on a family. In 1992, I joined the United States Navy. I received my orders to the USS Dixon, while a board I met my one true love. We then went our separate ways once we received orders to opposite duty stations. Twenty-six years later we found our way back to each other. We decided to relocate to California to start our lives together. With nowhere to go and running on faith and love my father took us in. We were not prepared on what we had coming our way. If not running out of money wasn't enough, my father in a rage attacked me. I left that day. With nowhere to go and desperate to not have my child witness the abuse, Justin (my true love) contacted Veterans Affairs, which had us get in contact with the Fixed program. We were not expecting what we would here on the other line. Hello this is Jamie Medina. Justin explained not even in full detail our situation. Mr. Medina heard our cries and went to work. Jamie found us a hotel and made sure we were safe. My heart melted, when he said “You served our country, I'm here to serve you". I would like to thank you Mr Medina and the board from the bottoms of our hearts. We promise we will pay it forward.

Love Us!!!

As a board member/volunteer/life coach for FIX'D, I came to Mr. Medina some 10 months ago with the intention to help Veterans within our community. It has been an eye opening experience for me to see the high demand for services in the San Joaquin Valley and within the Veteran Treatment Court system. We have worked diligently as a team to expand upon the limited resources available to Veterans, and to ensure that the many different needs are of our Veteran community are being met, or at least addressed. Our Service Members deserve so much more and it is my goal, Our Goal, to see that they receive the help they need to live a more complete and successful life.

I have a long story, similar to so many. My husband, a Marine Corp vet, was completely manic and consumed by his PTSD. He was drinking all day every day, going out at night, and completely ignoring our kids. It was as if we didn't exist to him anymore and he had become a completely different person. He just stopped caring. We tried counseling through the VA, but he wouldn't show up to his appointments. I tried going directly to his coworkers, this would always result in an argument and me looking crazy. I didn't know what else to do. I literally had no one to to turn to and no other options. I was desperate and lost when Fix'd found me.

I received a call from Ryan, who everyone seems to know as "Doc Cox." It was unlike any conversation I had with any other counselor or medical professional at the VA. I shared my story and he shared his. It comforted me not only to know that I was not the only one living through this hell, but that there was hope. He said my husband could be "fix'd." That night, he called my husband directly. We didn't have to make an appointment, go to the VA, obtain a referral or jump through any of the familiar hoops we jumped through in the past.
THIS IS WHAT MAKES THIS ORGANIZATION DIFFERENT! He was able to talk to someone he connected to, a fellow combat vet, that had lived through and overcame the same challenges. It was literally as if he was talking to one of his marines, joking laughing, talking trash. In that moment I was finally able to step aside knowing he was finally getting the help he needed. They didn't make him feel disabled or weak! This was huge in getting him to agree to getting help. It has been a few months now and while things are not perfect they have improved. My husband, has hope now, he knows he can reach out to "Doc Cox" any time 24/7....and he has, we both have! I honestly don't know where our lives would be without Fix'd.

I've referred clients to fix'd on numerous occasions and have been impressed with the timely and professional manner in which the clients have been assisted. Not only has fixed made itself available for veterans but also for non veterans going through crisis and life transitions. I've been in the field of human services for 20 plus years and Fix'd has grown and evolved to fill gaps in social services that many long standing programs have not been able to do. I appreciate the organizations ability to change based on the community needs and grow by aligning with other organizations, institutions and professionals. I look forward to continue working with Fix'd as a community volunteer, collaborator and referral partner helping fill the gaps often overlooked by others.

I EAS'd from the Marine Corps in 2012 and life has been, to say the least, quite challenging. While in the service I got married and had children. My oldest was born while I was in the Middle East and being that my duty station was over 3000+ miles away I wasn't able connect with my children the way I would've hoped. I was a family-man without a family. Needless to say, when my EAS Date approached I felt I had served my country now I must go serve my family. Just before moving home I was diagnosed with pretty bad ongoing depression and PTSD. When I was finally able to be with my family it was great, but very short-lived because my symptoms had progressed exponentially. To make matters worse I had to leave all of my support network and was treated like a burden by the people I was told would be there to help. My relationships began to suffer and it got to the point where I was fully convinced I was not meant to be taken in large doses and must go hide in a cave untill I am needed. I became chronically homeless and eventually found myself in some trouble with the law. Little did I know that being homeless and getting in trouble would have been the start of something I never expected. I was introduced to the Veterans Treatment Court of San Joaquin where they focus on treatment and rehabilitation instead of jail time and fines. I had a few bumps in the road, but eventually got on track. I was finally sure Im doing the right thing. I was at the bottom of a very steep hill I had to climb, but I finally knew I was facing in the right direction. They gave me this full treatment plan along with a Treatment Coordinator, Lawyers, Social and Psychological workers, and mentors. Then one day this extremely motivated fast talking machine of a man walks in and introduces himself. Basically telling the Veteran Court "Hey I got the resources and capablities to do everything you guys are doing here and then some... Could I join the team?" We all openly accepted him into the Treatment Plan and he got to show us he was a man of his word. He was able to essentially bring the treatment to the Vet which at the time was unheard of because although the VA has come a long way they are still booking appointments months ahead and far away. He then took on a more personal interest in me when my wife left. I had nothing to feed my kids, no money to buy food, and nothing of worth to sell. Then like a rainbow after a bad storm my phone rings... Its him. He can hear it in my voice that my whole world was caving in and he gave me 3 things. As a brother he gave me encouragment and a belief in myself that I had lost a long time ago. Then he gave me the number to a really nice resteraunt owner who personally bought and delivered some basic essentials and a pizza. It still makes me happy to this day. Also, made things a little easier for my boys. They were happy too. Finally, and this might sound a little redundant, but he gave me a calming peace of mind and I was able to see then that I had my Support Network back. He continues to work diligently and meticulously in my life to this day and I have a feeling that he will be around to stay long after leaving Veterans Court. His most recent act of generosity came the week before Christmas when he picks me up, saying to me "is there anything I can do for you?", and then blesses me with food and Christmas gifts my kids. I really can't explain how grateful I am. All I can do is share my story and say that Jaime Medina from FIX'D.. You're doing great things brother! Thank you, everyone at FIX'D and everyone like them for you have restored my faith in my fellow man/woman. I love you all & God Bless!

I honestly can't say enough about how this program is helping me out at a time I need it the most. Excellent vibe. There's not that many programs out there that are truly there for you and are able and willing to work around your schedule like the way they're willing to do. Great services and look forward to continuing my treatment with FIX'D.

Until recent, I have kept everything inside. Life has been heavier than expected. Each day, growing more cumbersome than the last. I look back and wonder, where have I gone? I am a shell of who I once was. Until I reached out to someone from my past; a brother who as always been there for me... and he answered. Jaime has answered my call, every call, day or night, good time, or not, he was there. My brother TACP, through the thick and thin. Nobody has a bond such as ours. The day I had to tell my team that our brother was lost, he stood with me. Nobody can take that from us. Now... he has dedicated his life to helping our brothers in arms. My pride grows more each day. My struggle still continues, but I know, within the depths of my heart and soul, that he will answer.

The amount of good Fix'd does for the community and veterans in need should not go unnoticed or unappreciated. The staff have so much passion for what they do and it shows. From housing, to food, to counseling, mentorship and friendship....everything they do is with love and they help give back to those that gave so much and often lost so much. Thank you Fix'd for bringing more humanity back to the community!

As a donor to FIX'D Inc, it's been a pleasure to attend their events and observe the rapid expansion of this much needed service for our Veterans. A big concern of mine is the national suicide rate of Veterans, FIX'D is taking this matter seriously. Their outreach is touching more Veterans daily at the national level, and I fully support and admire the hard work of this organization.

Where to start???...Truly. I've procrastinated writing this review because acknowledging the resources and services FIX'D Inc. provides feels too simplistic. There is so much more to FIX'D Inc. than that. FIX'D Inc. is a lifeline if you're struggling with daily challenges; an answered phone If you're in crisis; an extended hand when you're ready to accept help. I'm grateful to Jaime and every one of his volunteers that work incredibly hard to provide our veterans, in need, a starting point to begin rebuilding their lives.

In my life I am surrounded by both veterans and law enforcement. I end up in many conversations about PTSD or the high stressors of having a job where you are on a constant adrenaline rush, dealing with awful people, and seeing horrible things. Then having to come home to families and be mentally and emotionally available for them . I now have the ability to tell these individuals about the wonderful resource that is Fix'd Inc. Fix'd Inc. has gone over and above covering all the bases to give people resources. To help people in any way so that they can get through and thrive in this crazy thing called life. I am amazed by the hard work and determination of the Fix'd Inc team on how they strive to, as they say, "Bridge the gap between need and care."

It would be a complete understatement to just simply say that Jaime is doing great things. FIX'D Inc. is a lifeline to those Veterans who need someone who truly cares and understands exactly what they are going through. There are several organizations out there that attempt to and actually do provide resources to those Vets who need help. However, Jaime and his team are a true exception. It's not just about referring and recommending other outlets. FIX'D Inc. takes full action to their best ability to actually secure any form of assistance needed. Jaime has been through the worst of it and back several times. His dedication and compassion comes straight from his heart and that's exactly the person that he is. It's impressive to see. I'm proud to call him a great friend, brother, and fellow Vet. He has my utmost respect.

FIX'D Inc. is a different kind of Veteran's Help Organization. They actually HELP Veterans. I have had the privilege of helping out and becoming a volunteer. They are always busy trying to better the way they serve Veteran's and our community. They have a 24-hour phone number that is answered by the company's founder for anyone that needs a peer to talk to when they are having problems. They go above and beyond to do whatever they can to help out anyone in need. If they are unable to help out themselves, they will find someone that can help. They will not stop until the problem is being taken care of. It's their persistence, their caring, and their passion, to bridge the gap between Need and Care.

Great Job FIX'D!! Keep up the Great Work!!

As a single mother raising a 16yr. old son I always feel like I'm never doing enough, or saying enough to help him become a man OMG I can't believe he's 16!!! It takes a man to raise a man, or so I've always known. A friend of mine suggested I go talk to these guys because they had helped her out with her brother - a U.S. Army Veteran who returned home pissed off at the world. First I thought, that's weird my son isn't in a Vet. I thought these guys only helped Vets. They do, but they also help those and need, and I hate admitting this but I'm in need of help, motivation, direction, a checklist, child support, a bottle of whiskey (jk) but what do I know about raising man. I did fine when he was a little guy, but so much has changed and I work all the time, so I felt like I've failed him so much. Like I said, why not. I walked into the office and the first person I see is this guy with headphones on listening to music on his computer, watching news on the television and writing an email. Ok, so this crazy guy is supposed to help me with something, I think he needs help (jk!) no but, then he welcomed me in and we started talking. Funny, I was there to talk about me son, but I ended up pouring out all my drama onto his desk, and I kept saying I'm here to talk about my kid. He reassured me we'll get to that but he kept saying if I'm not good, always worried about this or that or feel as though I'm not doing anything good or failing my son, if I'm not good with myself - how in the F-WORD do I think I can possibly do anything for anyone else. He listened for hours and kept asking me questions on what do i think I should do about these problems I was having. About half way through this convo IT dawned on me. IT meaning, I knew all the answers this ENTIRE TIME - but it took this guy in an (FILTY lol)American Flag hat to listen to me rant and rave about what I wish I could do to make things better for me and my son. he said "then why don't you?" literally kept asking me that and I didn't realize it but as I identified problems, I was also saying the solutions out loud to them as well. He just stopped me every time I did, and kept saying "DO IT!" LOL! Really CAPTIAN AMERICA its that easy? LoL! Turns out it was. I don't even write this much on Facebook. I don't know if this rant makes any sense, but after I left I felt so good about myself - starting telling all the slugs in my life I do stuff for NO! For once and say YES to myself! Hard as it is, I even tell my son NO and at first it made me cry my eyes out, but I took a little bit out of my day to do for me, and my son noticed I started liking myself again. Then he starting stepping up and helping more, we're getting closer and becoming friends again. I don't like I'm failing him or me anymore. I've had a couple more meetings with jaime and every time I do, I have something new to talk about. The very next day after seeing him for the first time, I was offered a new job! The second time, my son and I had returned from camping. Everyday something new, fun and less depressing. No one is going to read this review! I'm sure of it, but I don't care. I didn't write it for you, I wrote it for me. Thank you FIXD! You guys are GREAT!!!!! Love, D.W. ;-)

Working with the FIX’D company has been a great opportunity for me to know which programs will fit me best. This company has allowed me to know what is available to me as a veteran in regards to self-medication, anger management, and isolation issues. I believe this will be able to help me understand myself better and how to handle situations as I continue to be integrated into civilian life. I will continue to be grateful for everyone involved with FIX’D.

FIX'D, and Jaime in particular, have demonstrated the willingness to tackle situations involving suicidal, and even homicidal, military veterans with urgency and not stopping until there is resolution.
