Programs: FishAmerica has several grant programs:1) Conservation: FishAmerica offers grants to restore fish habitat, enahcne fish populations, and improve water quality for freshwater fisheries. 2) Research: FishAmerica will offer grants for research projects that further the National Fish Habitat Plan. Please visit www.fishhabitat.org for more information of the plan. 3) Family Fishing Waters: FishAmerica seeks to create a fishing opportunity ?within a short bicycle ride of every child?. These projects restore or create family fishing opportunities in local communities. 4) Chesapeake Bay Watershed of Maryland: In partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Trust, FishAmerica offers grants to non-profit organizations in Maryland for projects benefiting sportfish and their habitat in the Chesapeake Bay watershed of Maryland.
