Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Disaster Aid, Fire Prevention, Human Services, Mental Health
Mission: To provide at need and long term assistance to police, fire, and ems agencies, and to families who have experienced a line of duty fatality or catastrophic injury.
Programs: Line of duty death response- this program is where we offer at-need assistance to families and first responder agencies that have suffered a line of duty death or catastrophic injury. A team of volunteers from our organization will travel to the affected department to assist with the funeral arrangements, crisis management, counseling, benefits filing, and referrals to local organizations for additional help. Team members will stay in the affected location for up to 5 days in order to provide the services listed above. Each response requires a minimum of 1 volunteer but additional volunteers are utilized depending on the needs of the family and the affected agency.

Our organization provides one on one assistance in writing and reviewing standard operating procedures for handling a line of duty death or injury, assistance with the formation and training a chaplaincy program, assistance with handling and planning of non-line of duty death of a department member. We also provide training on suicide prevention for first responders, and ptsd awareness.
honor guard- this program provides training, education, and deployment of honor guard teams to line of duty deaths throughout the state of texas. These individuals provide direct and one-on-one assistance to honor guards that have been affected by a line of duty death or catastrophic injury of a first responder.
lending library & family care kits- we provide care kits to families who have experienced a line of duty death or injury. These care kits include pamphlets, brochures, books, and small gifts to aid in the comfort of their grief. We also provide an extensive lending library for families, agencies, and volunteers to borrow books on topics such as grief, suicide prevention, survivors guilt, crisis counseling, and trauma.
