"Turning Beer into Food" and "Drink Like You Care" describe Finnegans' model. All the profits from the beer sales are used to feed the hungry by purchasing fresh produce from local farmers. It doesn't get any better than this! Finnegans offers many volunteering opportunities that are guaranteed to be fun: from packing food at food shelf partners to sampling (and more) you will enjoy any minute by knowing that you are doing good. Mission: To alleviate hunger through sustainable, scalable and innovative methods and partnerships and serve as a catalyst for social entrepreneurs in order to charitably advance social purposes.
Programs: Through finnegans community fund's thirty-five "reverse food truck" fundraising events held in 2016, a total of 14,658 pounds of food were donated by the general public with the addition of monetary donations. These contributions were granted by the organization to partners to end hunger within local communities. In december 2016, the organization was successful in securing a start-up grant from the bush foundation in the amount of 300,000 to explore programs designed to network socially-minded entrepreneurs to the needs of their local communities.
