The Center of Hope is more than just a food pantry or baby closet for its recipients. Going there is truly a dignified experience that fills "shoppers" with with the love of Jesus. It feels more like a free grocery store and not only fills your shopping cart to the brim but your heart as well. I love being a part of its volunteer family.
The Center of Hope is an amazing resource with a open choice pantry. This allows all clients to shop with dignity and with the ability to choose their food items. A local university comes in periodically to teach the clients what good food choices look like. There's also The Baby Closet. It provides much needed resources for the baby. Formula, diapers, clothes and equipment. More importantly then anything mentioned above it provides a community. People who care about you. Resources for counseling, classes and ways to connect clients to much needed resources. Everyone needs to know that someone cares and gives you a sense of Hope. I believe this organization is changing the world one life at a time.
This organization has been helping people to get clothing for Their young children, they can shop for clothes like they are shopping at a boutique. They can shop for food as if they were at a store, they take a shopping cart and shop for their needs. They can get meat and fresh vegetables, cleaning supplies, women’s monthly needs, toilet paper, etc. they are opening a crisis pregnancy center, and a literature learning program, also they are pointed toward resources that can help them with other needs. They help with rent, and help with their bills. This is put together by Jennifer and Bob And many volunteers who care about the least of these. Their hearts are huge toward the people who are in need and hurting.
The Fenton Center of Hope helps our community in several ways, one being with a very detailed baby closet. The time and energy that goes into hand picking each individual outfit that is donated shows their dedication. Their food pantry runs like a well oiled machine; people are able to shop for food to feed their families in a grocery store type set up which makes it feel less like a hand out and more like normal outing. This charity loves people well and their hard work is paying off as they are now offering literacy classes and a pregnancy rescource center! I am proud to live in a city that offers such a wide variety of help to the community!
