I first met fellow artist Kim Miller at an arts fair, and learned of FemArt Gallery and its mission to ensure women’s art was seen. Joining as a professional member, I have shown far more works, at a lower expense, than any other memberships provide. What impresses me most is realizing how much Miller has personally done for us artists: during pandemic, when shut put of our original space, Kim set up virtual events and negotiated with host companies to provide alternate safe spaces for exhibiting our art. Nobody did more for women and marginalized artists during that time! I have been a FemArt member nearly 3 years now and we have even more shows- more spaces- more classes available. I encourage every artist, aspiring or experienced, to join up and join in on what makes this organization great. For Collectors and Arts Supporters—this small organization is how you make big impact. The diversity of artists and art media is fantastic—you can purchase brilliant works from plein air paintings to outsider art; from emerging talent to national names; marginalized women and LGBTQ+ artists. It is a rare privilege to take part in magnifying our influence on Jacksonville’s art scene, and every dollar donated or earned from art sales is replanted to grow the mission. Donate-Join-and Buy Art!

FemArt Gallery came into my life at the perfect time. Being an artist and being a woman have been challenging over the years, but FemArt has brought the artist and the woman together for a pleasant experience. Kim Miller's persistence has paid off with being a part of a beautiful space in Jacksonville. She has a great team to help promote women in the visual arts. The most recent exhibition called "The Artist's Inner Journey" challenged me to explore a painful experience through an art therapy type perspective. The journey resulted in a nice piece of artwork, resolve and a message to all women who may feel broken. "Fractured, Not Shattered". FemArt encourages women to express themselves and to become a part of a group of creatives.

I have been a member of FemArt from almost the beginning of it’s creation. The organization has gone from having to have exhibits in various locations to having their own exhibit space through Kim’s (the founder and director) perseverance and hard work. She also made a name for FemArt in Jacksonville attracting large crowds to recent exhibits. Through her guidance FemArt also provides many educational opportunities for members, schools, and any artist that wishes to participate. This organization has given many women ways to exhibit their work that they might not otherwise have had.

I joined FemArt earlier this year because I liked the idea of a group that was dedicated to promoting women artists and giving us more opportunities to show and sell our work. In addition to holding art exhibits they are involved in community outreach. We are currently developing a coloring book from womens paintings for preschoolers and will be giving presentations to them. In the few short months I have belonged to the group I have benefited in several ways and have met more local artists and found another gallery to display my work. I hope to help FemArt grow to include even more artists with even more opportunities for us to show our work.

I recently became a member of FemArt Gallery and am so glad I did! For years I have exhibited in different galleries but the uniqueness of this being an all female gallery appealed to me from the beginning. Women's voices, ideals, and significance tend to be understated in our society. Kim Miller has had the vision to create a platform through the gallery dedicated to the importance of women from all backgrounds. Hats off to such a determined, hard working visionary like Kim! I am honored to be a small part of such a ground-breaking gallery!

My name is May Lu (Dongmei Lu). I just became a member recently. Right after becoming a member, I started a one-month trip to California, which means I haven't done anything with FemArt yet. Although I haven't had any onsite experience yet, I have already had deep impression on this organization. To be exact, I have had deep impression on Kimberly Miller, the founder of FemArt Gallery. We have had several communications by emails. She has been always very enthusiastic and positive. I got more and more interested in her and FemArt Gallery especially after reading her story and the details of FemArt Gallery on the website. Her passion on supporting and promoting women in their visual voice deeply touched my heart. I believe that FemArt Gallery will grow very fast and women visual voice will be heard much louder. I'm looking forward to getting involved soon!

I have been an artist with Fem Arts since it’s inception. Kim Miller and all her associates at Fem Arts have been incredibly supportive to the women artists of N Fla. Each year their work toward art shows and education workshops get better and better. I feel that their support of the arts has been instrumental in many of us being recognized state wide and nationally.

Femart Gallery represents both the innovative and the impactful work of the visual artist
13% in American museums are women. 30% in Galleries are women. Femart gives us the visibiity which is KEY FOR WOMEN ARTIsTS.
One of the first steps to achieve equality is recognition of the past. Knowing our past is the only way to build a future for women artists. It is crucial to acknowledge their work. Femart gives us this opportunity by spotlighting the artists of the past.
There is no other Gallery like Femart to support and raise awareness of the female artist. Thank you Femart

The painting comes to me as if in a dream. Quote from Van Gogh. I refer to myself as the Brooklyn grandma Moses. My husband always asks why after 60 plus years of painting these past years you have been highly recognized. The story of women artists. We are all femart.
Now our creativity can come first. Art is our soul and femart recognizes that and represents us well.

I've exhibited 4 pieces in 2 shows since becoming a FemArts member in Dec. 2021. This is major for me because I was someone who relied heavily on instagram and other social media outlets for networking/exposure and feedback. Having a tangible community to network with in person is invaluable. Being in the presence of the perspectives, stories, and skills of my fellow female artists is incredibly motivating and inspires me to reflect deeper and to hone my process. I was also given the chance to learn how to set up an art exhibit and what gallery hanging requirements are.

Kim Miller has done a phenomenal job advocating for women artists in the community and seeking new opportunities to share the talent and passion of our member artists. Now that the FemArt Gallery is open, I can't wait to see what the future brings!

FemArt Gallery provides a forum for women and the underrepresented in the fine arts to lift their visual voices and to unapologetically be themselves! This organization diligently finds opportunities within the community to provide access and exposure to those who have historically been ignored, abused, discounted, and forgotten. FemArt has expanded its reach by opening its own brick and mortar gallery in the arts district of Riverside Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida! FemArt's exhibition themes support its vision, mission, and values. Highly recommend those interested to get involved and support women in the fine arts with this organization!

I started volunteering with FemArt almost a year ago, and as an artist that has shown my work with galleries across the country, I can say that this organization truly takes care of its artists. The director personally connects with each artist and works tirelessly to put on accessible and successful exhibitions that connect the arts community across Jacksonville and beyond. I love to see female artists have a place to show their work and create community together!

FemArt is a wonderful accepting organization for woman artists. Sometimes people think art is just paintings but FemArt recognizes so much more! I have seen metal sculptures, mixed mediums with fiber/paper, gourd art as well as oils, caulk, acrylics-just wonderfully expressive and creative work! Kim couldn’t be more accepting and encouraging either to any and all art forms.

This organization focuses on promoting female artists and their work. In addition FemArt also provides educational opportunities/lectures helping to educate the artists and the public. Early on FemArt realized that art would have to be promoted through virtual means and began a virtual gallery thinking outside of the box.

My wife participated in multiple art exhibitions with FemArt. This organization has been great in supporting local women artists from all backgrounds. We were fascinated to see the great women artists gathering in WAVE exhibition at Jacksonville International Airport, the biggest women artist gathering we ever seen. Different races and backgrounds. This organization is doing great work in bringing people together.

However, I have faith in FemArt, it's mission and leadership.
Thank you, Katie Seay

"In Praise of FemArt Gallery, Inc." Making a significant impact on the "ART SCENE" in Jacksonville, FL, this organization's impact on artists is beyond significant. For me, as a new artist, I found mentors, opportunities to learn from other artists, exhibition and solo show platforms, educational seminars, visibility and the camaraderie of a very diverse group of women artists. Under the leadership of FemArt’s multi-talented Executive Director, Kim Miller, who somehow manages to find time for every single artist who needs her tutelage and guidance, she has opened the world of art far beyond my paint brush. Her passion for giving a "visual voice" to as many diverse artists as possible, to being a die-hard CHAMPION of social justice and demanding equality for the appreciation of Women Artists, continues to motivate and inspire me. Having gained a new respect for the immense time, patience and talent this craft demands, Kim's high standards have pushed me far beyond my own expectations. I can now, thanks to Kim Miller and FemArt, call myself a “member of the club!” I no longer whisper the word when someone asks what I do… I shout it out with passion and pride and I stand with my fellow artists in bowing to FemArt’s efforts to make a difference by bringing high visibility and credibility to women’s talent and artwork. Thank you for all you do FemArt Gallery, Inc! You are a rising star!

I feel honored to have been one of the artists in the first show FemArt held and look forward to more in the future.

FemArt Gallery is an exceptional group of women artists. This organization was founded for the purpose of supporting and promoting women artists, and I know that they do an excellent job of this from my own experience. FemArt is encouraging, supportive and they are the only venue here that exhibits women's art on a consistent basis. They are inclusive, discerning and are involved with the community as well. They are also involved in community education and offer many programs and opportunities for women artists beyond exhibitions. This organization is the best!!

FemArtGallery links women artists together toward a common goal. That goal is to support women artists through community outreach, art exhibits, education, workshops and critiques. I have found this organization to be profoundly helpful to me personally while I continue to persue my artistic endeavors and meet women artists who are also passionate about their art and the importance of giving women artists a voice heard far and wide. It is my sincere hope that more women artists will join us and spread their talents beyond our wildest dreams. In closing, I would like to thank Kim Miller, Executive Director, for her vision, persistance and friendship.

Very lovely and friendly organization of female artists. I am so proud to be in association and a part of this organization. They have helped out so many women artists in getting exposure and recognition for their work through their website and the art exhibitions that they hold in sponsored galleries. I highly recommend for others to join, be a part of an art community, and to help out with the community.
