Fayette Humane Society (Marcia) has been a God sent. I started trying to help a few stray/feral cats fifteen years ago with food and makeshift shelters, when we moved into a new house. Over the years the colony has changed and grown. I have tried to contact other human societies and organizations to help, with no luck. I was over my head with trying to control the colony. No one other than the Fayette Humane Society has been here for me and the cats that so desparately need assistance. Fayette Humane Society has never waivered, they helped me to get dozens of cats from the colony into the TNVR program. They are the most organized, communicative humane society I have ever contacted. If it weren't for them helping the feral cat colonies we would be in a epidemic that would negatively impact our neighborhoods. I am very appreciative of their help and guidance.
Thank you for all you do to help the animals.
I work at a hotel near the airport and noticed a few stray cats. Marcia came out with her humane traps and managed to trap 9 cats and kittens. They were spayed and neutered and returned to hotel. The kittens were placed in foster homes before being put up for adoption.
Last year I adopted 2 ferrel sister kitties and I am so glad I adopted 2. They keep each other entertained and are the sweetest little girls.
Thanks again for all you do to help the animals

Friendly caring people. Mrs. Marcia helped me out with a cat situation and I live about 45 mins from them. Love this place!
(FCHS put the "Humane" in Humane Society) I can't say enough good things about the Fayette County Humane Society. Everyone was so professional and went out of their way to help me and the dozens of little furry angels in my neighborhood.
FCHS went out of there way to help, after the Humane Society in my own county turned me away.
Thank you Marcia, Julie, Susan and so many other fantastic volunteers at FCHS - for caring and sacrificing so much of your time to help others... and all our furry friends.
In March of 2019 I sought help from the various countries around me for assistance to catch a couple of feral cats, one a kitten. But no one other than Fayette County Human Society stepped up! And did they in a big way. Everyone pulled together to assist me, including housing the kitten in a kennel for me while waiting for the Lifeline appointment. Marcia sent pictures of her too. Marcia picked up the cat and brought her back. She was also helpful as I attempted to catch a mother cat however this cat was more difficult due to a Male cat that kept chasing her away. Her suggestions to trap cats was very helpful. I'm happy to know this team: Marcia, Julie and Stacey.
Fayette County Humane Society Inc does an outstanding job of caring for Ferral cat communities wherever there’s a need. I was feeding a cat family in my back yard, but they kept multiplying. Thanks to this group for trapping, spaying and giving them shots. Great work caring for community and animals.
We got our cat Tilly from a volunteer at Fayette Humane Society. Tilly was a feral kitten who received a pediatric spay. When Marcia went out to the mobile home park to trap cats and kittens for neutering, Tilly would run up to her to seeking attention. After receiving permission from the lady who was feeding this group of feral cats, we adopted Tilly. We've always had cats but after loosing Anna, our 19 year old cat, I thought I would never get another one. Eighteen months later Tilly came into our lives and she has been a joy! We are very grateful to the Fayette Humane Society for this addition to our family.
The experience I had with the FCHS was none other than excellent! They gave me help and direction when I had found a kitten and couldn’t find help anywhere else. Marcia Hendershot was a true blessing and thanks to her I found a companion to the kitten as well!!
Long story short. We had a female young cat that was at death's door. we did not know what was wrong. The Great people at Fayette Humane Society approved and paid for us to take Darlin to a local vet. Darlin got the Best care we could ever hope. She is now fully recovered and talking up a storm.
We were literally carrying her to the litter box and lifting her head to feed her. She was "down for the count" before being saved by the Society.
Thank you all so much for what you do.
Sincerely,
Ray and Shelley Hardy
I was in total despair about what to do. I had inherited a cat after a neighbor died; I will simply not let an animal go hungry. But over the years she had reproduced and those had reproduced and it was out of control.
Then a friend told me about Fayette County Humane Society and Marcia Henderschott. I simply cannot praise this organization or its dedicated volunteers enough. Marcia had an unexpected opening and called to see if she could come and trap the cats that evening. We trapped 12 cats until 1 am. She was so knowledgeable, patient and compassionate.
Below is a picture of Momma Kitty and just a few of the kittens that were spayed/neutered. Today I smile when I see their little clipped ears as they run up for their dinner. Thank you so much, Fayette County Humane Society. You are the angels among us.
I have helped trap several cats and I would like to say I truly appreciate Mrs. Hendershot. The experience was excellent all of the cats are doing well healthy & happy, given its has been 2 yrs later. Thank you for an amazing experience, caring and professionalism. We truly appreciate all that the Fayette Human has done and continue to do
This was a great experience for my cats! I have 6 cats. Marcia was so friendly and very
professional. I recommended her to my brother as well. I was not familiar with the program
until Marcia showed up. I was recommended to her by a neighbor. everything worked out so well and all the cats are just fine! thanks for such a great experience!

An amazing lady volunteer from the Fayette Humane society was the only person who came to help me trapped and spayed several wild cats in my property. I had called several other people as I was very worried they will keep multiplying and nobody answered my calls, except for the Fayette Humane Society. Thanks again!
I have been a volunteer with Fayette Humane Society in Fayetteville, Georgia for 2 years as a cat trapper with their TNVR (Trap/Neuter/Vaccinate/Release) program. I am absolutely AMAZED that so many people with busy schedules squeeze time into their days--and nights--to volunteer for our organization, making lives better for the animals in our community. The public I serve is so grateful for our services. I'm attaching some photos of cats I trapped that were friendly and ended up with loving owners.
My family fosters cats for the Fayette County Humane Society. I had no idea what I was getting into when I started but I can now say that I am glad that I did. The volunteers in our organization are committed and truly care about each and every animal that comes into our adoption program. I am especially grateful for all the time they've given to reach out to me and help me take care of each and every issue that my fosters have had. I hope to participate for years to come.
I adopted my dog from the humane society, it was a very calm-organized and exciting process. I now volunteer on weekends and have a great time. The people are very friendly and caring.
