I visited Father to the Fatherless in Uganda in July 2022. I don’t have enough words to express how great an opportunity that trip was for me and my family. I experienced first hand how God is using this organization to help orphans, widows, and its surrounding community. It strives to be self sustaining to use its God-given resources wisely and teach those who live, work, and visit the location how to use each person’s gifts and strengths to honor God. There is a group of women who have learned how to weave baskets and mats to sell. Now they have an income and a way to support themselves and their families. The vocational school teaches members of the community specific trades. The primary school is giving children a quality education. There are so many ways God is teaching individuals through this organization. May God continue to bless it.

This mission has stole my heart. It is not only taking care of orphans but provides opportunities for everyone in the area. Education is available for all children as is vocational training for young adults. Wells have been established for a large area. Medical clinics care for needs of community. And most importantly, people are fed the Word of GOD.

I have been supporting this mission for nearly two years with fund raisers, sewing clothes for children, making femine hygiene kits for the women & girls, and sharing what GOD is doing in Uganda.

I truly love Mathias Mulumba (the founder & president of F2F) because his faith and determination to share the GOSPEL has brought about an outpouring of GOD'S blessing.

As a retired reading specialist, I pray I'll get to go on a mission trip there soon and assist in the primary school. Through GOD'S help the cycle of poverty & illiteracy. But best of all, people are coming to know our LORD.

As a pastor in the Grand Valley, I was aware of Father to the Fatherless International and its founder, Mathias Mulumba, but didn’t have a direct connection. Then Mathias took a math class at CMU with my wife and we were later invited to a fundraising event. We were blown away by the story of Mathias and F2F. We went to a second event more recently and couldn’t believe the many ways this ministry continued to flourish during COVID and the many ways God has provided the resources to move forward.

The way F2F is reaching and rescuing kids is only the start of what’s so amazing. The self-sustainability of the school and orphanage has spilled over into providing water to surrounding villages and multiple jobs for members of the community. They have become a trusted hub of the region, with space to develop/expand and a passion to be a blessing to everyone in their sphere of influence.

With a committed volunteer board and a dynamic leader leader like Mathias, this organization will continue to thrive and is worthy of generous donations and heartfelt prayers.

This is a true grass roots effort where almost 100% of funds raised goes directly to the people of Uganda that live and work at Father to the Fatherless. The heart of Mathias and his wife, as well as an ever expanding team that believe in his cause is what makes this organization run as well as it does. I often think of the quote…I am one. I am only one. And although I cannot do everything, I can do something. And because I do something, I refuse to do nothing. Or something similar to that. This is what Mathias reminds me of. Someone that knew he could do something and didn’t let anything get in his way. His vision and dream into reality after being a street kid himself, is nothing short of a God directed miracle. I am so happy to be a part of this organization, if even in only a small way.

This is a nonprofit ministry that truly helps people. It employs many people, educates children, provides learning opportunities and careers for adults, feeds it’s people and the community, provides a clinic on site, grows it’s own food, provides water to the property and it’s neighbors, raises cattle, chickens, goats, sheep, holds church services.
I’ve never seen God move so mightily and continually as I have with this ministry. It is worth checking out!
