Farmworkers self-help was founded in 1982 with a mission to educate and empower immigrant mexican and mexican-american migrant farmworkers, along with former farmworkers and other oppressed and poverty-entrapped groups in southwest florida through community organizing. The organization addresses discriminatory and oppressive policies and practices that adversely affect its community, particularly women and youth.
