Nonprofit Overview
Mission: Farming Hope is a nonprofit that creates transitional jobs for homeless and low-income individuals. By providing gardening and cooking skills, our employees then apply these skills at Farming Hope’s farmers' market stand and community dinners. Growing, preparing and serving food empowers our employees to share their gifts. Our goal is to foster community, service and opportunity for everyone through urban farming, cooking and sharing meals.
Target demographics: Homeless and low-income individuals
Geographic areas served: San Francisco and Palo Alto. San Jose coming soon!
Programs: Training and employing our homeless neighbors to garden, cook and serve food at our farmers market stand and pop-up community dinners
