I belong to a community of people called burners and we throw an event each year called Gateway. For the last 2 years we've thrown our event at Todd's farm. In 2023, at Gateway, I had my children with me at the event. There was a dog that kept aggressively barking at us getting extremely close within a few inches and was very angry for some reason. I complained but nothing came of it. Now before the 2024 gateway event I volunteered at Todd's farm and took my children with me. The dog was aggressive again but we ignored it the best we could. We helped Todd out for several hours but during that time he was extremely rude and dismissive to me and the other young volunteer that was already there. The young man kept looking at me as if he didn't know what to do with how poorly he was being treated by Todd and I just said hey man some people are like that. Then a few weeks before the event I contacted Todd online to let him know that we would appreciate being able to fish at 1 of his ponds during the Gateway event. Todd said sure and I donated $40. Now at the actual 2024 gateway event Todd's dog again kept getting aggressive with us and this time actually it nipped my son. Naturally I have at this point had enough so I was screaming at the dog and getting very upset. Todd didn't like this and told me that all he would do would put the dog up for a few hours but it was going to be let back out again. I was like okay that doesn't help out at all because your dog is being aggressive and is actually starting to attack. Then at some point I was down at a little pond swimming and Todd came by screaming at me belligerently hanging off of his ATV almost falling off just to tell me in a very strange aggressive way that he put his dog away repeating himself several times and sounding like quite the buffoon. He even told the event coordinators that I didn't have permission to fish at his pond. I then showed them a text message where he did approve of me fishing there and I actually paid him money to do it. I was just informed through FB messenger that I am banned from his land for the next 3 years so I can't go to any of the family events. The dude lies and is abusive and has no right to have a pet sanctuary period, it's not OK that he is looked at like some sort of good person because he takes care of animals. Doesn't do any good to take care of animals if you're cruel to humans
