Disabled and homeless can't find affordable housing and ran out of time . Have children but displaced at the moment had to put them with friends who could take better care. Can't find a place that will take a dog who is my best loyal friend. Need help but can't find any. It shouldn't be this hard for a disabled person to find help. I'm scared we will be on the street. I have no family or friends I can reach out to just want to be on my feet again and have safe stable housing keep asking God for help but there is no help in sight
Family Promise of Grayson County is a non-denominational, non-profit 501(c)3 organization for families (with children) that are experiencing homelessness. It is part of a national network that includes over 200 affiliates. Over 4500 congregations and over 180,000 volunteers make up the network. Host congregations provide overnight lodging, meals and hospitality to guests for a week at a time, three or four times a year. The Day Center provides shower and laundry facilities, and the guests can receive assistance with budgeting, job skills, transportation, medical and dental services, daycare or summer programs, and other social services. Family Promise works closely with other area social service agencies. All of these services are critical in a county that has a severe problem with homelessness.
