Mission: Family promise of north fulton/dekalb's mission is to engage community and faith-based organizations in ending homelessness . . . One family at a time. We provide temporary housing solution for situationally homeless families, offering hospitality and intensive case management, taking families from crisis to stabilization.
Programs: Family promise of north fulton/dekalb is an innovative and collaborative solution to keeping families together. Our volunteer diverse congregational support works as a rotational shelter offering hospitality, stable housing and food. Our approach to intensive case management assists in financial management, transitional living opportunities and job readiness making it easier for the families to be reintroduced back into the community. Since welcoming the first family in early 2013, family promise of north fulton/dekalb has had the following impact: hosted 64 families, 205 individuals, 134 children; approximately, 78% of these families transitioned to stable housing. Nearly 1,000 volunteers are mobilized weekly by host congregations who assist in the opportunity to provide safe shelter, meals and fellowship to guests. We currently have 12 congregations and actively seeking additional partnerships.
