I have been involved with Family Legacy for a year now and absolutely love it! I took my son to Camp Life and it was an incredible, life changing experience. The staff genuinely care about the mission and visiting Zambia made it very real to my and my family. Highly Recommend!
Our family has been involved with Family Legacy Missions since 2011. My daughter, Abigail and I traveled to Zambia in 2011 to serve with FLMI. Our whole family followed the following year. It was a life changing mission trip and we have not been the same since. My whole family has worked at Camp LIFE over the last 5 years + both daughters have attended Dream Camp. We will be returning again summer 2016. We are so thankful for all the missionaries who work for the mission each and everyday. Family Legacy is ONE IN A MILLION. Here is to the
Next 50 Years of Zambia!!!
My family first went to Zambia in 2014 at the request of our 13 year old daughter. She had been pleading to go to Africa for 3 years at that point but we had not found the right ministry to travel with.
We went with the intention of "transforming some orphans lives" and boy could we not have been more wrong! It was the most impacting thing I have ever done spiritually...to see my family and I being the hands and feet of Jesus. To see kids and circumstances that cannot be unseen. Family Legacy has transformed me and my family since that trip. We are now in preparation for our 3rd trip to Camp LIFE in 2016.
The ministry is efficient with their resources, effective in their ministry and mission and truly a blessing to be involved with.
This summer marked my 7th trip to Zambia with Family Legacy Missions. It was just as impactful as my first experience at Camp LIFE! Every member of our family has been to Zambia with this organization and all have been impacted by working with the orphans that live in the compounds of Lusaka. And we have all witnessed the phenomenal growth of this ministry in providing camp to roughly 7,000 orphans; building 18 schools for 10,500 kids; and 53 homes for another 600 children living at the Tree of Life Children's Village. Go to Camp LIFE or Dream Camp with Family Legacy Missions! It will change your life!

This continues to be the most amazing ministry for our family!! We just returned from Family Legacy's Camp LIFE in Zambia. We attended Week 4 in June 2013. This was our third year of Camp LIFE and it just keeps getting better and better! There were 110 Americans our week and 1,100 orphans. Overall there were over 700 Americans attending for the summer and over 7,000 orphans. It's hard to describe in words the impact that Camp LIFE and these kids will have on your life but trust me - you will not leave Zambia the same person you were when you came. And while the experience is changing you it is also changing the kids you will get to know and providing the opportunity for them to be known and sponsored and get an education and other help they might need. I highly recommend you attend.
Family Legacy and the work that they are doing in Zambia has impacted my family beyond words. Both of my boys - aged 18 and 19 - have said that the most joy they have ever experienced has been when they have been in Zambia working with orphaned and vulnerable children. I can honestly say it is close to the most joy I have felt as well. I am so thankful for the opportunity to join forces as a family in helping these children. Even though we are not working side by side all day (we each have individual children with which we are involved), the closeness we felt after serving is incomparable. This organization has vision, and they put the people in place to create change.
Family Legacy has changed our family. We have been impacted far more than those we love on in Zambia. We are ambassadors for 61 children who we have fallen in love with through the Camp Life ministry of Family Legacy. We love them as our own. Many dear friends and relatives have come along side of us to help sponsor them to provide an education which is the only way to break their cycle of poverty. This was a "once in a lifetime trip" that has become part of our mission - to go and disciple and love on the children who have no one. To see their childlike faith accept Jesus and their Lord and Savior and then to go share their faith in their community is a beautiful day! The light, joy and love that comes from the least of these is greater than anything I have seen. The have changed not only my heart, but my teenage children's hearts too. They have something greater than themselves to live for and serve - serving Jesus to these children and then being his witness to their friends here. Our favorite place on earth is the Tree of Life Children's Village where the children in the worst circumstances live. To spend time with them is a blessing that cannot be measured. Another excellence aspect of Family Legacy is the staff. Every staff member must raise their own support. This allows the ministry to give 95% of every dollar to the children. This model attracts and retains the most amazing people that not only love serving the orphans but LOVE JESUS with all of their heart! They rely on God to supply all of their needs. My family has witnessed God work miracles over and over again through this ministry. We are the ordinary family, willing unwilling servants, that finally submitted to go. We are the ones blessed.
Family Legacy has an AMAZING impact on countless orphans in Zambia and it has had an amazing impact on my family here in the states. We have been on three trips to Lusaka, Zambia with Family Legacy and each one has been life-changing. It has opened my eyes (and the eyes of my children) to the needs of precious children who struggle to stay alive. It provides a way for us to tangibly get involved in changing lives. We love doing Camp LIFE with Family Legacy, but it goes far beyond that. We sponsor several children who now have the opportunity to get an education, have nutritious meals and feel the love of their American sponsor and Zambian mentor. Also, we have been so moved by the plight of the orphans in Zambia that we have raised money to open homes at the Tree of Life Children's Village! One home opened in 2012 and we hope to open another one there is 2014. Everything the organization does is does with excellence and I am privileged to be able to serve alongside them!
Family Legacy Missions has changed my life in countless ways. The heart of this organization is bringing the gospel and sharing the love of Christ with the vulnerable orphans of Zambia. This organization is a picture of the gospel, as we were dead in our sins, so these children have been left for dead, hopeless starving and lost. Family legacy has brought life through Christ to these children and gives them hope and a future through Camp LIfe, sponsorships, education and a children's village. The orphans of Zambia capture your heart the second you meet them and will leave an imprint there forever. Family Legacy is truly changing the nation of Zambia one child at a time and we must not stop until every child is reached.
Recognizing the need to influence Lusaka & Zambia for Jesus Christ; Family Legacy started opening Christian schools throughout the compounds to serve the thousands of orphan and vulnerable children in the Father's Heart sponsorship program. These schools are helping bring positive change by first and foremost proclaiming the gospel, providing jobs to Zambian teachers and educating children who might not ever receive a quality, Christian education. As an educator I've helped to train teachers in these schools and personally witnessed the positive impact they are making in many lives.
This organization has changed my life. My kids were so incredible and the Camp LIFE is experience just can't be put into words. I am so appreciative to all the staff and everyone who works so hard to make this trip a LIFE changing experience. I MISS MY KIDS SO MUCH and can't wait to get back to Zambia!!!!
My family of seven has volunteered for this mission four times. Each year has been a unique experience for each of us and we keep going back to try to bless the orphans more than they bless us. It is a fact that we have not been able to bless them more. Recently, my earthly father graduated to be with his King. For me, this mission prepared me beyond belief for this loss and heartbreak. My orphans, that I sponsor for school, taught me that parents and grandparents are blessings. Each day they are in your life, you should cherish it and be thankful to God because most people do not have parents and especially grandparents. My life and my family's life are more significant today than the day before our first mission trip with Family Legacy. It is really a God thing and you can not describe it. You must experience what God is doing there to raise up the least and the lost in Zambia.
Traveling to Zambia with Family Legacy Missions International has absolutely been one of the greatest blessings of my life. We have fallen in love with the children of Zambia and with the staff of Family Legacy. The organization does such a wonderful job showing you where your dollars go. Our family has seen first hand the impact this ministry has on the children. To be able to hold a conversation with an orphan who could only speak Nyanja two years before and is fluent in English now because of the school he is attending is transformation in its greatest sense. The goal of FLMI is to transform the nation of Zambia one child at a time - they are definitely doing that. As an added bonus they are also transforming the lives of the Americans who travel with them. Our children in Africa have brought our family closer together. Not a day goes by that we don't pray for our children and we always share with others the absolute truths of God's word that are realized in the life of an orphan. I would encourage anyone considering a mission trip to Africa to travel with FLMI to Camp LIFE. It will change your life and the life of an orphan too.

It is a blessing and absolute privilege to be a small part of what Family Legacy is doing on behalf of the orphaned and vulnerable children of Zambia. My first trip to Zambia was in 2011 and I was so inspired by the work Family Legacy was doing there that our family partnered with another family to build a home for 12 orphans in Family Legacy's Tree of Life Children's Village. We returned to Zambia in 2012 to welcome the children we had been praying for over the past year. Glory House opened and 12 orphans were orphans NO MORE. After seeing firsthand the stewardship Family Legacy displays with donations we felt led to fundraise for another home. Hallelujah House will open in July of 2013 and our entire family is planning to be there to welcome 12 more orphans home. Family Legacy is transforming the lives of the children in its program through their Father's Heart child sponsorship program, Tree of Life Children's Village, LifeWay Christian Academy's and CAMP LIFE. They are saving lives, giving children an education, health care, and sharing the hope we have in Christ. These children will be the future leaders of Zambia. And as much as it blesses the children we have grown to love, I would be remiss if I did not say, it blesses us even more. It has brought our family so much closer. Not a day goes by that we do not pray together for our "kids in Africa." We look at life differently and our entire family will tell you that traveling to Zambia with Family Legacy has been the best adventure of all our lives. There is not a better organization out there! Want to see for yourself, COME - you'll be so glad you did!! Robyn P. The Woodlands, TX
Nothing but great things to say about this oganization. I feel so blessed to be a part of this organization.

This summer I made my third trip to Lusaka, Zambia with Family Legacy. I was blessed to have my wife, two kids, their spouses, and three grandchildren with me. Family Legacy provides an incredible opportunity to minister to 10 orphaned children. After a week of ministering to them it is then our goal to find sponsors for these kids we have grown to care for so much. Family Legacy then provides excellent school for these kids, school uniforms, a nutritious lunch each day, and the love and caring that every child deserves.
What an opportunity to touch the lives of orphaned children. Going on their mission trips to Lusaka does such wonderful things for the orphan and for the Americans that commit to sharing God's love.
Over the years, I have served on many non-profits but never one like FLMI. The transforming work with Zambian orphans is monumental. But the impact on the lives of the American volunteers is equally as significant.
Our family has been involved for 10 years and has made 24 trips to Africa collectively. We have been richly blessed. Each year the program gets progressively better.
This past summer I can attest that from the moment you step off the plane to the moment you get back on the plane, every detail is purposefully scripted and executed with perfection.
I am so proud to have the honor of being associated with FLMI.

I have been involved with Family Legacy for over 6 years. My wife has traveled to Zambia with them 5 times and I have gone once. They are a truly great organization that is doing wonderful things for children in Zambia. I would have no reservations recommending the organization to anyone.
If you volunteer to go to camp with them, you will leave thinking you are making a difference in the life of a child in Africa, but in reality you will be find the biggest change is in your own life.
Family Legacy is such an amazing ministry. We feel so blessed to be a part of this wonderful organization. The work that Family Legacy does to help the orphaned children of Zambia is remarkable. We are beyond privileged to financially gift to this organization. Our children love seeing pictures of our "adopted" boys in Zambia. We love seeing them grow spiritually and academically. Our best friends have traveled to Zambia and we feel so blessed that they became involved and wanted to share their experiences with us. It warms our hearts to know that there are so many loving people that travel there to hug and love on all these precious children. May God continue to bless this ministry and all the people who make it possible for these children to experience a better life!
My wife and daughter attended Camp Life 2011. They could not stop talking about it. After a month of dragging my feet, I agreed to go with them and our 12 year old son to camp Life 2012. I have never regretted that decision for a second. I had a life experience never to forget, only to repeat (going again 2013). Family Legacy is doing Gods work with the orphans of Zambia. I feel so blessed to be able to participate. To see kids with little hope experience joy and the love of Christ is truly a miracle. I am very thankful for Family Legacy and the impact they are making in my and my families life. We once were blind. Jeff P.
Family Legacy Missions International is the absolute greatest ministry I have ever been a part of. Camp Life is the most joyful and life-changing week of my year and I love the kids there more than anything ever. Family Legacy is an absolute honor to be a part of and such a blessing to my life. I have traveled to Zambia for the past two years in a row and am already registered to go next summer. I am counting down the days until I leave. I thank God everyday for putting such a wonderful ministry in my life.
It is such a great honor to be a volunteer with an organization that combines their passion for serving the orphans of Zambia with intergrity and professionalism. I have had the opportunity to travel to Zambia twice and will be going for a thrid time this summer. What I see is a ministry that is committed to changing the lives of the orphan children in Zambia. It is humbling to be a small part of transforming the lives of children and in turn impacting the communities where they live. Family Legacy is meeting the needs of children in Zambia every day. Their commitment to the health and education of the children while demonstrating God's love to them on a daily basis is making a difference one child at a time. I will continue to partner with this ogranization because I believe so strongly in their mission.
My family and I have been involved with Family Legacy for 3 years. And we have made a collective 11 trips to Zambia with the organization. Having been a part of the work they do I can say from direct knowledge that lives are being saved, children are being healed and hope is being provided. 10 boys I know are in school and now have a future that did t exist before they experienced God's love through Camp Life and then sponsorship. I recommend this ministry with no reservation. God is at work through Family Legacy.
I have been involved with this organization for over a year now. It is my pleasure to be able to contribute to the wellfare of two young girls and to help improve their lives. I have been very impressed with this ministry and the level of real care and concern that is displayed by all involved. It is a very hands on type of organization.
Family Legacy has an amazing ministry! Camp LIFE was by far the greatest trip I have ever been on. You really have to make a leap of faith to go on it and like any foreign mission trip it can be difficult at times. But it is totally worth it! I encourage everyone to go on this mission trip and if you can’t go try to send someone else. It is truly a life changer. I wasn't able to go the past two years but I'm signed up for 2013 and I can't wait!!
I LOVE CAMP LIFE!! This was my 2nd time in Zambia and I felt like I was so much better prepared to work with my kids. The really big advantage of going your second time is you get to work with some of the same kids again. But definitely the highlight of my trip was seeing one of my kids happy and living in the Tree of Life Village. He had reached the point of committing suicide but his discipleship leader intervened and got him moved immediately into the Tree of Life Village. He’s alive and happy! The other awesome opportunity I had this year was going to the Lifeway Christian Academy in Matero. We threw a party for all of our sponsored kids and gave them backpacks filled with things they could use plus a wool blanket and food. We also got to give the school teachers all of the school supplies that had been donated for the school. It was so fun to hear the shouts of the kids as they saw all the new things for their school. Camp LIFE is such an amazing experience!
Camp LIFE is AWESOME!!! Camp LIFE has been the greatest experience of my life. I am a senior in high school and am so blessed to have been able to go a 2nd time. I hope to keep on going! This year I was given six of the same boys that I had last year which made it truly spectacular because I was able to revisit with them and hear how their lives had started to change. The most powerful moment was when my kids prayed over me…I truly felt the Lord working in their lives as well as mine. It is unbelievable to see the impact that we have on these kids. All they want is for someone to love them and hold them and tell them that they aren’t worthless, but they are wanted and they are loved by their Savior and Father. I realized this year that God is changing the world and even if it is one child at a time, he is moving quickly and I am just overjoyed that I have had the opportunity to be a part of His work. Camp LIFE has been such a blessing to my life because there are no distractions and I can truly feel the presence of my Lord.
My experience with family legacy has been exceptional. They are a very compassionate, dedicated, and faithful organization. They truly care about the children of Zambia and are moving mountains to provide the children with the supplies and support that they need. I am very proud to be a part of this organization and will continue to support Family Legacy in the future.
I was raised in church my entire life, and have gone on more mission trips than I can count. When I heard about Family Legacy and what they do in Zambia, I thought about how great it would be to be able to go and find out first-hand what it is like over there, and what this ministry is doing in the lives of these orphans. My first year, 6 months after my dad passed away, I was scared as to what would happen while i was there. This experience changed my life forever! Those amazing orphans that I got to personally get to know, find out their stories, love on them, etc. were incredible! Family Legacy gave me an opportunity to see God's hands at work through us (Americans) at Camp LIFE and the amazing work they are doing to change the face of Zambia is amazing! Just in the 2 years I have been apart of Camp Life, God has blessed Family Legacy in so many ways! He is growing this organization and I know he has amazing plans for this organization! I don't know where I would be without Family Legacy and all that they do!
I have been on over 40 mission trips over my lifetime, and Camp LIFE was by FAR the most well run, well organized, impactful trip of my life. Our family has been going since 2006, and personally watching the operational excellence, the comprehensively visioned plan, and the overall scope of what Family Legacy is accomplishing in Zambia is unlike anything I have ever seen. Our family is forever changed in the best way possible, and as a person who runs my own large firm, my hat remains off to the Family Legacy team and their exceptional leadership and submission to the Holy Spirit.
Hi my name is Ben, and I am 19. Last summer I went to Zambia with Camp Life and had an experience of a lifetime. My whole reason for going to Zambia was to do the Lord's work. When I arrived at the camp for my first time, I was anxious and excited to start the week! That day, I was blessed with 10 wonderful orphans, Moses, Isaac, Chipipa, Godfrey, Anderson, Yembe, Frank, Stanley, James, and Given. At first these kids were quiet and shy but as the day went on they began to open up to me with smiles. The best smiles in the world are in Africa! Later as the week continued I got to know each of them one on one. I was revealed to the everyday pain and darkness these children go through, and saddened to know with all of the luxuries I have in America that I could do nothing. But then, I understood the most important thing these children are missing is LOVE. So for the rest of the week that was my goal, to give them uncounted amounts of love. I developed a love for each one of these kids, and I will always love them. i am so thankful I went with Camp Life because of the messages and sermons Greer Kendall taught us; truly wonderful words of wisdom. Now it is May of 2012 and I am getting ready for my trip back to Zambia with Camp Life. Going to Zambia with Camp Life truly has been the experience of my lifetime.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this organization! So far ahead of other mission groups we work with. The week long camp with the orphans of Zambia was truly impactful for us Americans (changed our entire family's lives) and certainly impactful for the Zambian children; many of which needed to be taken out of the situations in which they were living and are now THRIVING either in FL's Tree of Life Orphange or in one of FL's residential homes. Our other sponsored children are going to school (many for the first time) giving them hope for their future. And at school they will receive a nutritious meal which by itself changes their lives dramatically. Our family can't wait to return for our 4th summer in Zambia to love up on our sponsored children and any precious child God's puts in our path while we are there.
What a wonderful experience my family had serving the Lord in Zambia with Family Legacy International. The trip was so well planned and it is miraculous what the Lord is doing through this ministry to disadvantage Children. Our family is returning this year.

I have traveled with Family Legacy for two summers to work with children in Zambia through their Camp LIFE program. We now sponsor four girls that I had in my small group both summers. I love receiving letters from them and hearing about how they are in school. I've also visited their Tree of Life children's village and seeing the incredible living environment and school that is provided on their campus, I love seeing what a difference Family Legacy is making in the lives of these children.
Review from Guidestar
I used to volunteer with FLMI and was greatly hurt by their practices and manipulation of Americans. If you or your children are wanting to go with them I would HIGHLY advise not to. They manipulate Americans and make them believe that FLMI is the only way to help these children and then they don't even follow through with what they are saying they do. If you sponsor a child through them don't expect that money to ever go to the kid. They think all Zambians are trying to cheat them and refuse to work with local schools an pay school fees. Their Zambian staff is paid under wage and cannot provide for themselves. They are scared of the Americans who run Family Legacy and feel very taken advantage of. Until Americans figure out the truth this will keep going on forever. They need to be held accountable and it is scary to see the manipulation.
My wife has volunteered with FL several times. She and I have even sponsored a child. We also have several friends that have done the same. However, this company is not forth right with any information about the children. In fact, per information given by the child - a couple of the sponsored children are no longer in school or in the FL program. When FL is questioned about this they simply explain that the child is still in the program. Either they are lying or they lack organizational skills to keep up with the children. Both scenarios are not ones in which I would spend my money on.
