Mission: Family hope house, inc. Provides psychotherapy services for parents and children from difficult backgrounds, including (a) families of foster children, who need to navigate the complexities of raising foster children, maintaining relationships with biological parents, and integrating foster children with biological children, (b)families who have adopted children, many of whom react to difficult early lives by exhibiting challenging behaviors such as food hoarding, nightmares, lying, stealing, and resistance to attachment, and (c) biological parents who have had their children removed from their care due to failure to protect their children from harm or because they are the perpetrators of abuse, child endangerment, or neglect.
Programs: The organization provided therapy services to families of foster children, families with adopted children, and biological parents who have ad their children removed from their care. Services have been provided consistent with the organization's mission. Program service revenue includes fee for therapy income, but the organization provides free support services as well including (a) foster family support groups, (b) foster family advocacy, (c) volunteer support services, (d) biological family support groups, (e) case worker support services, (f) school/daycare support services, and (g) continuing education for foster parents. Additionally, the organization provides therapy training services for fee.
