Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Family Services, Financial Counseling, Gift Distribution, Human Services

Mission: To assist families going through the emotional and financial hardship due to the hospitalization of a loved one.

Glen and Debbie, of Southern California, were on the verge of having their car repossessed and their utilities shut down. They were also several months behind on their rent, all due to extreme medical costs incurred by their six-month-old daughter, Kirah. Kirah has been intermittently hospitalized since birth, diagnosed with AV Canal Malformation, Craniosynostosis (fusion of the skull), Trigonecephally, Hypotonic Cerebral Palsy and Down syndrome. She requires feeding by G-tube and even underwent open-heart surgery.

Kirah's conditions put incredible financial and emotional strain on the family, forcing Glen and Debbie to choose between paying their rent and car payment, or giving Kirah the care she needed to survive. They chose the latter. Fortunately, Faith's Hope Foundation was able to assist them, by paying their car payments, utilities and rent, while still allowing Kirah to receive the medical treatment she required.

Families like this are not rare:

Can you imagine how overwhelming it is to have a sick child or spouse?

Yet you still have to go to work each day? What if you had to quit your job? What if you lost your job? How would you pay your bills? How would you keep your house? What if your car broke down? How would you buy necessary food for you and others in your family? How would you handle the stress?

Faith's Hope Foundation was established to provide a solution for these medically and financially disadvantaged families. The Foundation attempts to bridge the gap left by other well-meaning organizations. Recognizing that each individual organization has areas of strength, we have chosen to bypass our weaknesses by becoming Synergistic Partners with other like kinds organizations. Our organizations focus on meeting the needs of families traumatized by a cherished loved one's lengthy stay in the hospital.
