Mission: The fairfield country day school corporation (the "school") was formed in 1936 to educate boys in southwestern connecticut from pre k through ninth grade. The school provides an educational community dedicated to the personal growth and intellectual development of boys. A balanced and challenging program is designed to help each student expand his desire and ability to acquire knowledge, stimulate his curiosity and creativity, and enhance his self-esteem and respect for others. Each boy's individual development is encouraged in an environment that anticipates the future while appreciating the past.
Programs: The school provides education to approximately 260 students from pre-k through ninth grade. The curriculum is rigorously designed to stretch each boy to reach his full potential. Technology is fully-integrated across all grade levels and disciplines. The academic program is complemented by a rich and vibrant arts curriculum. Sports offerings round out the typical school day with age-appropriate physical education in grades pre-k through three, intramural sports in grades four and five, and interscholastic team competition in grades six through nine. Public speaking and character development are the hallmark programs of the school.
