Mission: Fair Wisconsin is one of the state’s most respected advocacy groups and has a proud history in political action, education, grassroots organizing, and outreach in the cause of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) equality.
Results: Fair Wisconsin is currently engaged in building support for marriage equality and expanding our state's nondiscrimination laws by working in local communities. We are also working pass local ordinances that protect transgender Wisconsinites from discrimination.
Programs: Our program services include the costs of education, grassroots organizing, coalition building, and electoral involvement in wisconsin to protect, achieve, and advance the civil rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (lgbt) people in wisconsin. During the year these efforts were focused on domestic partnership implementation, defending domestic partnerships from a legal challenge before the wisconsin supreme court, engaging a coalition of lgbt organizations in wisconsin, and working to engage the lgbt community in elections. Our program services also include legislative work such as the costs of directly lobbying elected officials to support or oppose legislation related to the lgbt community.
