Mission: The mission of the Fair Housing Center of Southeast & Mid Michigan is to end discrimination in housing and public accommodations and to promote accessible, integrated communities. We are a private, nonprofit fair housing organization serving 10 counties, with offices in Ypsilanti and Lansing. We actively work to investigate complaints of illegal housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, familial status, marital status, age, and other locally protected classes. We provide investigative services, testing, advice, advocacy, conciliation, attorney referrals, and community education.
Results: $2,871,117 Collected In Settlements for our complainants, 106 lawsuits filed. We've opened up thousands of housing units free from discrimination.
