I have been a supporter and volunteer for FAIR Girls for 7+ years and an active and enthusiast volunteer board member for the past 5 years. The more I have learned about the horrors of human trafficking and the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC), the more I am motivated to spend my time and resources to help this amazing nonprofit with their mission to end human trafficking, one life at a time. FAIR Girls truly changes lives for the girls and young women that they serve. The FAIR Girls 90-day transitional housing program, the Vida Home, ensures that female-identifying trafficking survivors have safe shelter, food, clothing, transportation, and other basic necessities. With the FAIR Girls case management program, clients have access to wrap-around, trauma-informed services through FAIR Girls or their partners. FAIR Girls is also very actively engaged with providing prevention education, as well as with advocating fo the legal protections and rights of the survivors they serve. I am continually in awe of the brilliant and dedicated staff at FAIR Girls, who work tirelessly every day to provide the critical services that their clients need and so well deserve.

Programs: Vida center - fair girls operates an emergency home for young women survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Approximately 50 young women resided at the vida home in 2016. Each survivor receives a bed, 24/7 access to support services, overnight counseling access, food, and basic needs.
prevention education - fair girls provides prevention education services to teens in maryland and washington, d. C. To educate them on how to stay safe from commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Fair girls model curriculum, tell your friends, launched in 2008, is a four-part curriculum that integrates debate, art, music, and interactive discussion to reach thousands of teens.
case management - fair girls provides case management and serves approximately 150 young women and girls ages 11 to 26 who are survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Case management services include counseling, support groups, life skills, job readiness, art therapy, health and wellness, yoga, and more. Each client also has access to court advocacy to assist in addressing charges that are a result of their exploitation.
international program - the united states state department provided a $50,000 grant for fair girls to conduct prevention education and human trafficking awareness outreach in serbia. Advocacy - solaine is fair girls' advocacy program. Through solaine, fair girls seeks to advocate for the legal protections and rights of the survivors we serve. Our priority is to improve the lives of these women and girl survivors as they are actually lived, rather than as they are typically viewed from the outside.
