F5RS -Rabbit Rescue & Sanctuary

F5RS and Sassy are wonderful. Many years ago I had a rabbit with a difficult attitude. Sassy spent countless hours on line with me teaching me behavior modification therapies (for both me and the rabbit). I will always be grateful for her help and kindness. She is always there for both animals and people.

I’ve been volunteering with F5RS since August of 2022 and it’s always been so great. Sassy’s passion for the bunnies and their well-being is so obvious. And rescue is only a portion of what this great rescue does! The programs that the therapy bunnies participate in are such an asset to the community, we are all lucky to have such a great organization around!

I've been a supporter of this rescue for many years; the dedication to ALL in their care is unbelievable. Lead by warrior Sassy, all manner of creatures have found their way to safety and love. The outreach to the public, both in regards to GOOD small animal parenting as well as other non-profits, is equalled by none.

The bunnies are lucky to have Sassy as she loves them and takes such good care of their every needs. I have adopted 2x from this rescue and used the "spa" services. I will always return to F5RS ������

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this organization! Through no fault of her own, we needed to rehome our beloved bunny and were turned away by every place we contacted. We would not take her to a shelter because she deserved so much better, and we knew her forever place was out there somewhere. Almost immediately after contacting F5RS, we received a positive reply and set up a time to bring her. Upon arriving, we knew she was in the best of hands! The love and caring is evident, and soon our bunny had a speed date and found her forever home!! We are so grateful! The work they do with the autism community is incredible and much appreciated! I pulled a rabbit and hedgehog out of what I can only describe as a house of horrors along with several other animals. I spent 2 weeks contacting every organization I could find for help, only to be told they couldn't do anything or to never hear back. F5RS was the only organization who stepped in to help! They do such amazing work. The passion and care they have for their animals is clear from the moment you meet them. All of their rabbits are fixed and vaccinated before being adopted out and they care for them to a higher standard than most people will ever do for their own pets. I can't say enough good things about how they care for each individual animal that comes into their rescue. Not to mention all of the programs they do with their therapy buns and the good they do for children! I LOVE this rescue!!!

F5RS does an excellent job in helping and caring as a rescue and sactuary. They also do exceptional work in public awareness by events a t schools, senior citizen centers, etc.

Great organization and a wonderful woman who runs it! Due to health reasons and ensuing circumstances, I had to surrender my rabbit. It breaks my heart to lose my little buddy, but I thank God every day that F5RS agreed to take her in, and I am thankful for the kind and generous woman who runs this rescue.

F5RS is an amazing nonprofit that brings their therapy bunnies to many autism events throughout the year and for many years now. Our children and adults love seeing and petting them to help them calm and regulate.

I can't even begin to describe how incredible F5RS, Sassy and her team are. This group not only does amazing and life changing things for the furry community, but extends their compassion into the human community too. I often wonder how on earth they are able to do so much for so many - it's truly amazing. They are truly amazing. I really just can't say enough positive things about them.

I found this rescue on Facebook. Through their posts, I read about a potentially life threatening disease that is spreading that affects rabbits.
I called an exotic animal veterinarian and they had no clue what I was talking about. So, I contacted this rescue and she set me up with a vaccination for our sweet bun to protect her.

Sassy and all the work she does for not just the bunnies but for the community is outstanding. It is so warming to my heart to know such kindness exists and that Sassy brings so much awareness to the small fuzzies AND to the people they help. I love going there to visit, and she is always welcoming. I truly appreciate her and also love that she provides some special services for bunnies such as educational lessons, grooming, and special events to bring the community together and to help her little rescues.

Sassy is an absolutely amazing person. Everything she does for those beautiful bunnies she has. She has helped me with so much great advice over the years with my rescued rabbits!! And all the wonderful things she does for our community. She truly is a wonderful person and I am so grateful all those sweet buns have her.

We found a pet rabbit in a park and they were the only rescue that said yes to taking her. She took her home to quarantine her before getting her spayed and vaccinated. She was extremely helpful and gave us tons of advice and information to care for our own bunny. We went in for their "snuggle Saturday" to help socialize the bunnies. All of the bunnies are very cared for! You can tell they really love what they do & the bunnies definitely appreciate it!

Even years after we adopted our rabbits, Sassy still provides support and advice any time we need it. She has also boarded our bunnies when we travel. As a first time bunny adopter, her knowledge and experience with rabbits has been an invaluable resource. She is an extremely kind and caring, and has a magic touch with rabbits!

I have never seen a rescue work so hard to care for the creatures in their care. Not only is F5 a rescue that provides safety and medical care for abandoned bunnies, and other small pets, but through their outreach program, their therapy rabbits bring joy to nursing home residents, children on the spectrum and others with special needs. They work tirelessly to be as self-supporting as possible. Their education programs are top notch. They are my favorite animal rescue and I support them whole-heartedly.

F5RS is a hard working nonprofit. They go above and beyond to help all bunnies. Sara was incredibly helpful when my own bunny Lola had her spay. I was a first time bunny mom and she answered all my questions about what to expect during recovery. She suggested correct options to entice my bunny to eat when she refused. Sara is still always a phone call away willing to share her expertise in all things bunny.I support F5RS and their volunteers every chance I get. They do amazing work ♥️������������♥️

F5RS is a phenomenal rescue. Sassy dedicates her life to be a change and a voice for the abandoned and forgotten. This rescue goes above and beyond always. All the animals are extremely well cared for. I would always suggest this rescue when in need for a small animal adoption!

There are a lot of rescues out there but few focus on smaller animals like rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. F5RS is one of the best in the area focusing on these animals.

A rescue that puts the animals needs before anything else. Hard-working and an honest organization.

This rescue continues to help the bunnies in the most need even with the trying times of the past year and a half with Covid-19. They have rescued several bunnies that have been found out in the wild who otherwise would have not made it and have given them a new chance! I know even they have been full they never turn down a bun in a true emergency.

Even with the challenges of Covid-19, F5RS has continued to take in bunnies in emergency situations and have been creative in their ways to raise money with limited opportunities. The therapy bunnies have been able to continue to help others in multiple ways even when not able to make in person visits. I'm proud to be part of such a worthy organization!

Thanks to F5RS several adopted rabbits have joined the family. This nonprofit organization is excellent. Necessary medical care for rescued animals? Yes. Vast knowledge of animal care, healthy food and much more? Also yes. F5RS is awesome!

Sassy pours her heart and soul into this rescue. She and I met when I had a bun dropped off in my neighborhood and she did everything she could to try to help me save him without expecting anything in return. She truly cares!

Even in these uncertain times, F5RS has been a beacon of hope. Many of the programs and adoption events have been put on hold, but Sassy and Co are always available to help, whether it be the answer to a question about rabbit care or offering good advice about a concerning bunny behavior.
F5RS are kind hearted wonderful people that in spite of everything 2020 provide much needed GOOD for not only the animals but also the community.

We have adopted two bunnies here and Sassy is the absolute best. She cares so much for the bunnies in her rescue and makes sure they go to loving homes. She has also been there to support us with questions. We will always recommend Friskys.

I adopted my rabbit in May of this year. Her name was Savannah at the time, now Penelope. I fell in love with her picture and instantly knew she belonged with me. Upon meeting her I was told she had a very rough start in life. Meaning she was kept outside roaming around for the first 5 months. Basically she was a feral rabbit. Sassy worked and worked with her to get her associated with people to be able to adopt her out and have a good rest of her life. I truly believe that Penelope would not be here with me today if it wasn’t for Sassy at F5RS

I love what they do for abandoned rabbits. People don't research what a rabbit needs to be happy and healthy so bunnies are often dumped when people get tired of the unexpected bunny behaviors (for example: my bunny is eating a book I left on the floor as I type this!!)

Catching buns who have been dumped outside is challenging, but they do it. Bunnies need specialized vets who are typically expensive, yet F5RS rescues get great medical care. F5RS is just an amazing rescue. I love their posts and what they do for buns.

I love, love this rescue! They not only do rescue work, they are very involved with other non-profits as well - spread the love! They take excellent care of all the rescues that come to them and give it their all to save these little ones.

This is an amazing rescue. Their critters get so much love and care. Sassy, the lady who runs it, will help any time of day or night when a rabbit or another creature needs help. She brings the bunnies to visit our special needs nonprofit, which makes everyone's day. Our folks have learned so much from Sassy and the rabbits. They go out and do so much good - and provide education - in the community, with a "read to some bunny" program, visits to the Ronald McDonald House, to special events, and more.

These are the hardest working folks in rescue! They are awesome!

My bunny took off while we were playing outside. She found and made sure he was well taken care of and returned home safely!

Wonderful caring staff who came to my home on short notice to capture a domestic floppy ear mature rabbit! The handler quickly caught, inspected and befriended this rabbit within minutes. She committed to getting veterinary care in a day or two and then homing the rabbit with training to prepare him for adoption. Highly professional and caring. My Daughter Ella volunteered last summer for the rescue. That is how we got to know Sassy. Sassy helped us when we needed to board our two hamsters last summer, and she also helped us board our two Guinea pigs this summer for vacation. She rescues rabbits as well as other small animals. Ella and I have the upmost respect for Sassy and her rescue. She's addresses all of the medical needs of the rabbits to get them healthy and ready for adoption. All of the rescues get spayed and neutered as well. She also conducts a reading program to youngsters where they read to the bunnies. She does nursing home visits for touch therapy, as well as visits to The Ronald McDonald Home to raise the spirits of sick children and their families. Sassy and her rescue are an asset to our community. Thank you Sassy and your rescue!

F5RS is one of the best rescues around! Not only do they work with rabbits but the community as well! They are not worried about being famous like other rescues out there. They do it for the animals and in the end that is what it's all about! They also do tremendous work as therapy bunnies as well. Keep up the good work!

The absolute best shelter that gave me my 2 sweet buns... I have yet to meet someone who has a love for animals like Sassy... all these furbabies love her and she loves them as her own. They are all vetted, litter trained and loved more than life. She also does so many things for the community with her therapy buns and reading programs.

F5RS volunteers, 1st and foremost, have the heart of a servant with the best interest of the animals at the forefront. Led by Sassy, this rescue is knowledgeable, compassionate and driven to make miracles happen and lives better every day. I adopted my buns Winston, Arlo, and Annie there. One of the many things I value is their experience and knowledge; they are there to help even after your new family member comes home. Also that they love and get to know their animals and adopters for the best possible match.

We first met Sara and her rescue at an event for dogs and cats. We had approached F5RS to help with our Judy after her spaying. They welcomed our questions and concerns with kindness, and were so knowledgeable about the process. We had recently lost a bun after a complications from his nueter, so we were hesitant, but F5RS calmed our worries. We had Judy spayed and Sara met us at the vets to pick her up for her staycation. I can not thank her and her rescue enough for giving us our Judybeans back safe and in one piece. During her boarding, Sara gave her meds, food when she quit eating and even had a vet on call for any worries!! Such a wonderful rescue that has a huge heart for critters. F5RS has become family in our house and I would recommend them to anyone that has a furry family member!

I adopted Truffles from the rescue and they were super helpful. I can always reach out when I have any questions and they go out of their way to help bunnies as well as people.

F5RS has been exemplary in rescuing bunnies that are in need of shelter. They take in the bunnies, supply medical care, and find good, proper homes for them.

F5RS is an amazing organization! Their BIB program visits sick children and the elderly. How many rescue organizations do with or both? They take time out of their busy schedules to educate about bunnies and other small animals. Great people to work with and always helpful with questions!

Our national honor society went out to F5RS to volunteer, and we had a great time! The animals were so much fun to work with, and you can easily tell that the owner loves and cares for all of them as they wait for their forever homes. She had personal stories to share about each rabbit and bird, which helped us get to know them as we cleaned cages. We loved working here, and hope to come back in the future!

A wonderful small animal rescue! They are loving and conscientious, badly needed in this area.

I was looking to rescue a bonded pair of rabbits. This rescue took the time to answer all of my questions, as well as ensuring that I was a good candidate for adopting. The shelter was clean and organized. Each and every one of the animals had been very well cared for, physically and emotionally. I will adopt again from this rescue.

The therapy bunny program is awesome. The residents of one of the nursing homes they visit really enjoy them. It is great to see the smiles that these bunnies bring.

The physical and emotional energy Sassy puts into her passion for the animals she rescues is beyond comprehension. I never hesitate when Sassy is in need of treats for the rescue's bake sales. We boarded our bunnies at F5RS while on a week vacation. They went above and beyond taking care of them! Sassy even bonded our bunnies (which we all thought the female was unboandable from not getting along with other bunnies). We were amazed and so impressed they were bonded and even groomed before being picked up. Sassy goes above and beyond taking care of all the animals as well as doing the BIB program! Our son loves visiting the bunnies in the library and reading to them. I highly recommend F5RS.

This group was there for me when I needed a safe place for my girls. My one girl had health problems and she was with them when she crossed the bridge. My Lilly was with someone who loves her as much as me.

This organization making such a huge contribution in the small animal rescue world in our area. They have gone above and beyond to make a difference with all the education programs and rescue programs. I have seen them work tirelessly to keep to the high standards that every rescue should adhere to. While caring for the smallest of innocent creatures that have been tossed aside by careless people. I have also seen the smiles that these therapy bunnies have brought from youngest to the oldest of hummanity. This rescue is all heart!

Great rescue! They do amazing work with their bunnies taking them into the community. They are a no kill shelter and they truly care about the animals.

This rescue is absolutely the best rescue I've ever had any experience with. They are loving, kind, and giving. Not only do they rescue animals, they educate the public, they have wonderful therapy rabbits, but they also sell many many wonderful and reasonably priced items! From toys to scentsy candles, they've got it all!

This is by far the best small animal rescue in the area. Many animals have been rescued, rehabilitated and some have become therapy bunnies used in multiple programs. These programs, such as bunnies in baskets, visits nursing homes, hospitals and other places that being love and joy to many people. Read to a bunny is also a great program that visits multiple libraries each month so that Children are encouraged to read a book to the bunnies. A

I answered a craigslist ad for a "bunny that bites" thinking she didn't have much of a chance. I brought her home and, yes she was aggressive. One of my Facebook friends told me to message Sassy at F5RS as she was accomplished with these rabbits. This dear lady spent many hours with me online teaching me how to modify the behaviors. Later I found out the bunny was blind. I decided to get her a mate to be her sight. Again Sassy spent hours with me helping me bond the two. Holly now has Koko and he is the best seeing eye bunny ever! Sassy never asked for a thing in return other than a happy ending. That is how these people are. They are totally committed to the animals and giving to the community. They help the elderly through therapy; they help disabled children through therapy and reading programs; and they collect items for the homeless. Though I have never actually met them (I would love to) I think they are among the most beautiful souls that I have ever had the privelage to call friends.

This is a wonderful rescue and was very helpful and knowledgeable. I had found a bunny thrown out on the stress in pouring down rain, took it home and this wonderful rescue took him in, got him neutered and will find the perfect home for him. I was very impressed when I brought him to the rescue and met with Sara, she was extremely knowledgeable about the animals she takes in. It is a great place

Even thought we ended up not adopting from this shelter they went above and beyond! We were trying to get a friend for our single bunny and took her to pick one out. She picked one out and we brought him home only to have trouble bonding them. They have a wonderful bunny bonding boot camp at the shelter and we took them back to try that. Unfortunately our girl bun does not get along with anyone! And at this time we couldn't have 2 single buns so we picked her back up after about 2 weeks of trying to bond her. I think we were all disappointed she didn't want to bond but that's her personality (at least I know it's not just me that can't bond her!)
This shelter is wonderful and so well organized! I love all of the other services they do, like the boot camp and therapy bunnies! Whenever the time comes for us to get another bun, we will definitely be going back!

This rescue is amazing as it is nearly self sustaining. Not only is it an animal rescue but some of the animals are trained at the Rescue to be therapy pets. The founder of F5RS is an amazing person.

Recently I came upon the rescue, Frisky Ferrets, Fuzzies and Feather Friends Rescue and Sanctuary, due to one of my bunny friends sharing their link for their Hoppy Holiday's Shopping BUNanza. I found so many wonderful items for my bunny friends for Christmas, as well as myself. Everything was beautiful and very reasonably priced. The ornaments I ordered were so nice and even the stuffed animals were in pristine condition with tags still on them. When I requested an item that had already been sold, they contacted me and went out of their way to accommodate me. Very personable people and I plan on shopping there again soon. There's nothing better than buying gifts for friends, knowing you are helping animals at the same time. Kristen from CT.

Although I'm in North West England, Sara at F5RS has helped me with advice via social media regarding rabbit health and welfare which has meant my own bunny has a better life. I've tried to donate where I can to help with their never ending vet and feed bills.
I have also had messages of concern and support when my own health takes a dip.

I went to F5RS looking for rabbit to adopt and bond with my rabbit who had lost his mate. I found that and so much more. They are great people and they do great work. I frequently drove an hour to go and volunteer with them. They work tirelessly to save animals and to promote proper care and knowledge of small animals. As a nonprofit rescue, they struggle with funding every single day, but they never hesitate to give back to the community. They volunteer, they visit, they donate and help spread awareness of other organizations that also serve the community. They are much more than a rescue saving animals, they are making an impact far beyond the animals they save.

I don't live close enough but I do donate as I'm grateful they are there for the rabbits

My daughter has participated in their somebunny to read to program the past two years and they even brought the rabbits to our Girl Scout meeting to take about animal care. The ladies and rabbits are amazing!!

F5RS staff are the most caring, loving, genuine, and knowledgable small group I've ever met!! They have helped me so much, have a wonderful online store which proceeds go 100% to their nonprofit needs like vet bills, and have offered endless assistance and information to me about my two fur children!!!

I cannot even begin to say how great this non-profit is! They do such amazing work by touching the lives of all types of individuals from older adults to children with autism. The team is knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They have such a big heart to not only rescue rabbits and other animals in need but to also use those animals to help and heal others. F5RS is an amazing small animal rescue and sanctuary run by an amazing group of people. There is no better place to adopt your new small and furry or feathered family member from. They are very knowledgable and willing to share their knowledge to help adopters better care for their new pets. They also do a ton of community outreach and education projects. Just a great group!!

These bunnies have it made! Everyone who works with this organization is deeply committed to the safety and well-being of the rescued animals. Every effort is taken to place adoptable animals in homes with responsible, loving caregivers, but before that happens this organization offers them attentive care well beyond what one might expect. I hadn't seen a therapy bunny program before they started theirs. It seems to be doing good things for people in the Youngstown area so kudos!

They are so giving of care and love to each fur baby or animal in their care. Every case is given time and attention, even last minute emergencies. They stopped and answer all my questions. They relieved my anxiety and very so calming and gentle with the bun.

We adopted an adorable bunny from F5RS as a companion for my bunny. They made the process so easy and I knew every step of the way that they just wanted what was best for the animals. They took hours to do meet and greets until we found the perfect bunny. Not only that but now they tirelessly groom both bunnies (one has an extremely difficult coat). They are so dedicated. A truly amazing rescue!

I have known Sassy, founder of F5RS, for a couple years. I have seen how Sassy interacts with and loves these unwanted and abused (at times severely abused) bunnies and parrots. She loves, helps and protects each animal. She makes sure each adoption is a good match for both animal and human so the animal can have their forever happy, loving home. There are very few rescues like F5RS in our area and F5RS could use the help so they can help more unwanted and abused bunnies and parrots.

I was first introduced to F5RS several years ago at a business expo. It was the first time I had heard of certified therapy rabbits! Since I own a therapy practice with a variety of therapies, I asked them if they would like to join us for an upcoming family event. They did and have been volunteering their time and expertise on numerous other occasions--our annual Halloween party, story times, and our summer reading program, Some Bunny To Read To. The volunteers know and care so much about their animals, and the kids just love interacting with the bunnies!

These people are utterly devoted to the well being of the animals in their care, and yours. The most knowledgeable I have come across in behavior, training, grooming, diet, bonding etc. And their homemade treat products are awesome too! I don't think you will find people that devote more time to the cause then they do! Sassy is the best!

The name of this site says it all.... Great Nonprofit. The director and volunteers do everything they possibly can for the animals they take in. The crew goes above and beyond what others do. I’ve adopted two bunnies from them and have directed friends to F5RS as well. All of my communication with this rescue has been pleasant and professional. The best rescue I know! I've known F5RS for many years through the rabbit welfare network and I just wish I were closer geographically so I could adopt from them myself. Truly wonderful people.

When my husband and I were looking to adopt a rabbit, we looked far and wide. Though over an hour drive to F5RS, we decided to consider the rescue because we were impressed with the online posts highlighting rabbits currently available. Thorough and informative, the posts specified the rabbit's names, and they were not simply referred to by color or number.
Later, we were extremely impressed with the thoroughness of the adoption application, as it shows the care and concern the rescue has in finding responsible homes for their animals.
Because we had a rabbit in our home already, the director worked with us to find a companion of a good fit. The director's patience in rabbit introductions, answering general care questions and adapting to a schedule convenient for us, was more than we expected or could ask for.
The animals are very well cared for in this rescue. The facility is clean, the animals receive daily one-on-one attention and the volunteers are friendly and informative.
As a result, when it was time for our third rabbit, we went right back to F5RS.

We can't say enough! They are so dedicated to the bunnies. Everything they do revolves around the animals. They truly love all of them. We adopted our lop from F5 to bond with our Netherland dwarf and it wasn't going very well. Sassy said she thought she could bond them. Well 3 weeks later we had bonded bunnies! We never thought it could of happened. She is the Bunny Whisperer!

I've had the pleasure of working with Sassy (director), who is very knowledgeable of the animals she cares for and her heart for providing these animals with a responsible and loving home is apparent. Sassy goes beyone the call of duty in caring for her animals and is a wonderful advocate and educator for her rescue!

I became involved with F5RS over two years ago when I began following their informational posts on Facebook. I began talking to the director and discovered how remarkable her work is. In a poor community, where unemployment is rampant, she runs an awesome rescue that is virtually self-supported. If she isn't working with the bunnies, she's out on a Bunnies in Baskets therapy bun visit, or teaching classes in rabbit care and clicker training for new and prospective bunny parents. She also does weekly flea market sales to raise money for medical expenses and care of her feathered or furred charges. She works this rescue literally 24/7 365. I have never known Sassy to turn away a bun or bird in need. She has taken in rescues from Virginia to Alabama, along with bunnies or other creatures in need of sanctuary because of health or behavioral issues. In short, she's an angel. I give her my hightest rating....and my deepest admiration.

I am the Lead Educator for Colorado House Rabbit Society and I have seen this rescue step up many times and help the general public with information about rabbits. They know what they are doing and have a great reputation. Really great Rescue.

I have turned to this rescue many many times for advice for my 9 rescue rabbits and every time they have been generous with their time and help and resources. I can't say enough good things about these wonderful caring knowledgeable people. They are angels to the animals in their care and the entire bunny community.

This lady is wonderful. Always willing to help out with all animals even those animals that were not her responsibility.
She gives great advise and knows her stuff when talking about rabbits. She helped me out with my sick rabbit, teeth trimming, questions and answers.

I adopted 2 bunnies from Craigslist. Sassy has been wonderful in answering questions that have come up. I wish I had known about this rescue before I got my buns. Kudos to Sassy for her willingness to take on such a wonderful endevour. The bunnies are lucky to have someone that cares so much.

There are few who care as much for small animals as Sassy does. She is constantly tending to their needs, both physical and emotional. In a world where most people don't understand or have a desire to adequately care for their pets, F5RS is a reminder to me of how we ought to show compassion to these little creatures. I am very happy to support this organization, through its fundraising efforts, as they strive to provide safe, temporary and ultimately, permanent good homes for each of the animals in their charge.

I am proud to be a part of such a wonderful and caring rescue. where the needs of the rescue are put above anything else. This rescue operates with a very small staff, but manages to get so many things done. Sassy, the founder, is an amazing woman who gives everything (and then some) to the rescue. I know for a fact that she goes without so that the rescue can have what it needs. She puts the rescue and its needs before anything else in her life, and she manages to accomplish small miracles every day. She takes a personal interest in every furry, fuzzy or feathered soul to come to her. She finds it near impossible to turn away those truly in need. This rescue works hard not just to save lives by taking in abandoned and neglected animals, but they try very hard to get out into the community and educate people about the responsibility of having a pet and what that means. Sassy continues to learn as much as she can about how to make those in her care as happy and healthy as they can be. She also tries to spread that knowledge to anyone who has a need or interest. I have had a lot of experience with many rescues and I can honestly say that F5RS is the gold standard, and should be the example for many other rescues.

I work as a volunteer in a shelter in Alabama and Ffive was able to take in four bunnies rather quickly needing help. One had severe aggression issues. When I realized they specialized in this I was amazed and thankful that they exist! We find so few who have this knowledge. We have been in contact through this process with Sassy and have found the Rescue & Sanctuary is really great all around. She does a wonderful job socializing with the bunnies, caring for them, and getting them ready for their new homes. From what I have been told, they have a bunny loving staff, which is always the best kind willing to learn and do what needs to be done for the bunnies. Although 650 miles away, I hope to visit one day and I am just thankful she is there doing what she is for so many.

Through the power of social media, I discovered F5RS. I stopped by to drop off newspapers (always a need! No shiny ones, just newsprint, please!) and spent a lot of time with "Mama Bun" and learning about the animals they take in. My animal experience has been mostly with dogs and cats so bunnies were a new experience for me. The staff and volunteers truly understand and care for these creatures. I came away with so much more knowlege about bunnies and how they should be cared for. I can't wait for the next time I'm in town and can stop by and visit (and drop off more newspapers) again.
