ESCH has provided me with the opportunity to combine my business experience and desire to give back to the community. In the process, I have had the pleasure of meeting a dedicated, energetic, and very experienced group of professionals who are passionate about the work they do. ESCG provides its clients with very valuable and objective advice while charging a negligible amount for its services. I am truly honored to be associated with this organization.
ESCH is a wonderful collaboration of professionals who desire to help others through volunteerism. Being an ESCH consultant has allowed me to meet other nonprofit leaders and share ideas, expertise and inspiration. I find it immensely rewarding when I can share knowledge, gained through years of hard work in my field, with others who are simply further behind in the path to nonprofit success. Our clients appreciate our ability to offer succinct advice at a reasonable cost, simply because each ESCH consultant is willing to volunteer time to help them succeed. I find it's a rewarding circle of inspiration and a good use of my time and talents.
Executive Service Corps of Houston utilizes for-profit and nonprofit professionals to help with issues across many disciplines. It is one of 27 national affiliates throughout the U.S. That help improve efficacy, efficiency and sustainability of nonprofits.
My first experience was in 1992 with a board retreat for a 25-year old organization (at the time). Board members responded to a board/business professional peer who counseled them on how to serve the organization well and who offered several tenants of board governance.
