Mission: The mission of Exceptional Parents Unlimited is to strengthen and empower children and families facing extraordinary medical, developmental and parenting challenges.
Results: Exceptional Parents Unlimited (EPU Children's Center) was founded in 1976 at a public hospital in Fresno, California as a small support group for mothers of babies with Down syndrome. The agency grew from humble beginnings into a full-service agency providing therapeutic, supportive and educational services to approximately 800 infants and children with special needs and their families each week. As a result children and families otherwise at risk of falling through the cracks in services find a warm, welcoming place offering assessment, referral, treatment and family resources in a nurturing environment.

Direct beneficiaries per year: 5,432 unduplicated clients, many of whom received multiple services.
Geographic areas served: 10 counties in Central California
