Lisa and Sam are wonderful people who have saved countless dogs and cats. They run a non kill shelter as well as a reasonable spay neuter clinic. Most importantly they also work with feral cats. I have been dealing with them for probably 15 years. Despite occassional hard times, they continue to expand this wonderful place. They are feral cats best option as countless people continue to over breed because they love puppies and kittens. Without groups like this even more animals would be put to sleep thanks to stupid humans.
I have volunteered for Every Creature Counts for several years. They are a true no-kill rescue organization that genuinely cares for each and every dog and cat that gets to this organization. Every Creature Counts takes animals from municipal shelters that have been slated to be put down, takes puppy mill breeders, dogs rescued from reservations, and works with rural animal control officers to take abused, neglected, and otherwise homeless dogs and cats. Every Creature Counts has partnered with Petsmart stores for many years and has dogs and cats available for adoption at many of the stores across the Denver metroplex. Volunteers and the small paid staff work tirelessly to provide clean, safe, and cozy conditions for the animals. There are several cat cottages, furnished with heat/air conditioning, furniture, and comfy bedding so that cats can live cage-free while awaiting adoption. The shelter also has outdoor, covered carports so that many dogs can be in the fresh air during the day. Every person involved with Every Creature Counts, volunteer or paid staff, truly cares about the animals and provides as much human touch and socialization for each one as is possible. Please support Every Creature with donations of dollars, supplies, food, cleaning products, etc.
