Programs: Restoring sight eversight has served its communities for 75 years and grown into one of the world's foremost organizations responsible for recovering, evaluating and providing human eye tissue for more than 8,500 people each year, including 3,200 patients outside the united states. Tissue services are also offered at no fee for patients facing financial hardship or surgeons traveling abroad for medical mission trips around the world. Eversight proudly fulfills 100 percent of charitable care requests in its communities. Eversight brings sight-restoring care to people everywhere, regardless of financial or geographical challenges, through its international initiatives. Eversight works to build sustainable eye banking infrastructures in underserved nations by partnering with local professionals and government organizations in countries including china, the middle east, pakistan and south korea. Through these partnerships, eversight provides access to safe, transplantable tissue as well as training and other resources for creating local donation and transplantation programs.

embracing the gift - education and action the eversight gift of knowledge program conducts nearly 1,000 educational programs annually to share the important and inspiring message of donation and becoming a registered eye, organ and tissue donor. With the aid of more than 500 dedicated volunteers - including cornea recipients, donor families and healthcare professionals - eversight helped the national donor registry grow to 130 million registered donors.

finding a cure in the pursuit to eliminate corneal blindness, the eversight center for eye and vision research is one of the only eye bank-led programs providing clinician-scientists the innovative resources they need to find cures and treatments for eye diseases like macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma. Eversight delivers more than 3,000 tissues for research and education annually and has awarded 3 million to its research partners since 1980, including nine grants totaling more than 150,000 in 2016. Eversight seeks to change the future of eye and vision research with its eye disease donor registry and biorepository, set to launch in 2017. Through the program, eversight will collect, process, store and distribute ocular tissue that matches the specific needs of researchers, accelerating new cures and treatments for blinding eye conditions.
