The name of this group is "The Freedom Foundation" now. They operate in Washington State. Their motto is, apparently, "...because people want TO BE FREE". They are essentially an anti-tax, anti-government, pro-corporate group who consider their freedom to be under threat. Professionally, I was regularly contacted by them and given misguided and misleading information. At first I thought it was a hoax. I am surprised that this is a "charity", as it seems to be a political issue-action group.

I'm sorry you had a negative experience with us. Perhaps I can help clarify a few things. Our organization exists to maximize the freedom of the people of Washington. We champion responsible, efficient government that puts a light tax burden on the people and businesses it serves. We believe that people will prosper as workers and business owners when government intervention in the marketplace is kept at reasonable levels. At no point would we ever willingly send out misleading information to our members or the public. If you can provide examples of what you have suggested is misleading or misguided information here, we will be happy to review them. We operate well within the IRS standards for a 501(c)3 organization and focus on providing our members and the public with information that supports our mission.
