Mission: The object of the estate planning council is to provide a means whereby interested members of the legal, banking, life underwriting, accounting, and financial planning professions can become educated in recent developments in income, estate, and gift taxation. The estate planning council provides a medium of mutual interest wherein meaningful discussions can promote better understanding and cooperation among the groups represented all to the end that they, cooperatively, may better serve the public. The estate planning council has bi-monthly meetings where speakers address recent developments and interpretations of the income, estate, and gift tax areas. In addition, the estate planning council supports an annual elder law fair to educate the general public on estate and gift planning issues and an annual estate planning seminar for professionals.
