Mission: The Essence of True Humanity Is Compassion (The ETHIC) explores the connection between animal rights, human rights, nonviolence, and social justice. We offer a unifying vision for people from all walks of life who wish to create a world where humans and other animals can live free from violence and oppression. The ETHIC seeks to spread this vision through inspirational talks, humane education, activist trainings, and forums bringing together individuals and groups involved in promoting compassion.
Programs: The ETHIC's programs include inspirational speakers, humane education, activist trainings, facilitation of strategic planning sessions, consultation on running an effective advocacy campaign, and forums bringing together individuals and groups working to promote compassion. The ETHIC also manages the Darfur Pledge campaign (Darfurpledge.org), a grassroots effort to end the genocide in Western Sudan by generating tens of thousands of calls and emails requesting that world leaders send peacekeepers immediately.
