Formed in July 2019 the Erwin Township Historical Society located and purchased one of only two remaining original schoolhouses still standing in Erwin Township. The 1915 East End Schoolhouse was moved in August 2021 to its new forever home at the Erwin Central School site where she will become the museum, research library, and meeting space for this community. The Erwin Heritage Park is designed to include the museum, walking/biking paths, a children's playground, event space, picnic area, and for display an original Finnish log sauna and log home. Their mission is to Preserve the Past and Create the Future of Erwin Township. The Erwin Heritage Park will celebrate their Heritage, tell their History and promote community Health. This organization believes in this community. They have tremendous support from past and present residents. The Erwin Township Historical Society is an organization you should support and offer your volunteer time to them.
