Personally, interning with Enterprise with Youth has been an amazing experience. I have gained so much experience in different career paths and have had many gain new connections.
Enterprise For Youth Has helped with get my career started. It helped me explore careers through fun internships. Also, enterprise for Youth has helped me with job readiness training and resumes and cover letters that helped me get into jobs and internships.
For me personally interning with Enterprise with youth has been a such an amazing experience.
Enterprise has also provided professional skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, time management, and adaptability. I can't thank Enterprise enough because I would be where I am today if hadn't for enterprise for youth. They are more than just a non-profit, but a place that cares about youth and those who want to purse a future career in any industry.
Enterprise for Youth is a great organization. They provide amazing training and opportunities and I'm really grateful to be in their program!
I’ve been with Enterprise for youth since sophomore year, I’m thankful for the opportunity they have given me, I’ve learned so much, I’ve also gotten work experience,
I've worked with Enterprise for Youth through multiple internships, and they've been reliable and incredibly helpful throughout all of them. I've gotten a lot of great work experience and mentorship from their employees, and it's been a wonderful experience overall :-)
I have been with Enterprise for Youth since 2020 while still in high school, and I am now about to graduate from college in 2025. Enterprise has been such a rewarding organization and has taught me everything I know today. Everyone is so considerate and helpful! I can truly say I would not be where I am today if it hadn't been for Enterprise and I hope to continue growing with them.
I've been with Enterprise for Youth for 1 year and the experience has been the best. They help you prepare for your future in many ways and for a teen that can be very helpful. They help you learn and they pay you and for a teen its hard to get a job were they pay and teach you stuff that is useful for your future
I've been involved with Enterprise for Youth since my freshman year of high school (2019), and the impact it's had for not only my professional growth, but also personal growth, has been nothing but remarkable. Their commitment to helping youth across the bay area find internships, resources for resume building, and providing so many more resources has given me the confidence and skills that I've used in school and other internships. I'm so extremely grateful for the guidance all the staff has provided me, and shaped me into the person I am today.
I joined Enterprise for Youth in 2019 as a sophomore in high school not knowing that this organization would change my life in such a meaningful way. Through all the support from the staff, I secured my very first internship with APIA Scholars, which opened doors I hadn’t even imagined. From there, I had the confidence to explore new opportunities, programs, and internships both internal and external of Enterprise for Youth, each one teaching me something new and invaluable. The interview training and networking opportunities they provided were game-changers for me as I used to be shy about stepping out of my comfort zone, but with the encouragement and guidance from everyone, I felt as though I was able to build the confidence to take on challenges I once thought were out of reach. I’m incredibly grateful for the loving and supportive community at Enterprise for Youth, I wouldn’t be where I am today without them!
Enterprise for Youth is an amazing non-profit organization I've been lucky to participate in. I first found out about Enterprise when I was in my junior or senior year of high school (2019), they taught me how to build a resume, professional email and mock interviews. I had no work experience and I had no idea how to navigate in a professional setting. Ever since High School, I've come back during the summer to participate in their summer internships where they provide youth with paid opportunities where they can gain experience, but also teaching them how to use their experience through a Job Readiness Training program in which they learn about resume, financial literacy, professional emails, mock interviews among other important essential life skills. More importantly, Enterprise for Youth is an ever evolving non-profit organization meaning they are expanding the opportunities they can provide to youth and the essential skills to be taught. I'm proud to say I am a program assistant at Enterprise for Youth where I now play a part in training youth in these amazing opportunities and teaching them about these amazing essential life skills. Most importantly, anyone can participate in their program regardless of their background, immigration status, ethnicity. Everyone is welcomed at Enterprise for Youth, more than a non-profit organization, it is a family where we make it our goal to bring the best opportunities and lessons to youth so they can thrive in their professional careers.
I joined Enterprise for Youth when I was in high school. Enterprise prepared me for the work force with their job readiness training and resume workshops. My first internship was an environmental stewardship. Although being a gardener was not on my list of potential careers, I was able to learn important life and job skills. Through the internship I learned to value teamwork and collaboration. I recently returned to Enterprise this past summer as a Program Assistant which allowed me to share my past experience at Enterprise with the interns that are currently in high school. Enterprise keeps evolving and continues to provide more and more amazing job opportunities for youth.
My name is Leti and I enter enterprise last summer, the program helps us navigate and get a head start on work experience. This has help me and others I know land opportunities that matches their interests or paths. It's been a great experience and hope to gain more knowledge as I go! Thank you enterprise for the opportunity!
My name is Alan, I'm a member of Enterprise where I not only had learned important job skills but also got to experience real-life work experience from an internship provided with Enterprise. These experiences allowed me to reinforce important skills such as: communication, leadership, time management, & teamwork. I'm looking forward to return to Enterprise this Fall to continue building my resume & other critical skills.
Enterprise for Youth have helped me to understand what career I want, since opportunities they provide are very diverse and considerate. As a first gen teenager immigrant and first gen college student, enterprise have contributed not only to my professional knowledge, but gave me an understatement of how the system works, I was able to connect with amazing people who became my mentors . I feel like a part of enterprise community and very grateful for all the opportunities they offer.
I am so grateful to have been putting in contact with enterprise for you. They have supported me for the past three years and extremely grateful. Since high school and now college, enterprise has provided myself and others with opportunities to expand and grow our professional and developmental skills. - Fabiola Bucio
I have been doing Enterprise for Youth since being a sophomore in high school and now I am in college. It gave me an immense amount of opportunities and even connected me to colleges and people from all sorts of backgrounds. Amazing opportunities would recommended to every high school student!
I have worked in the Enterprise for Youth program, the experience I have had has been good during the summers. I have learned a lot in the area of parks, it is the hobby I have always done. I like this program since it looks for a way to pay participants in a different way. It is not necessary to have a work permit to be able to work. In this way it helped me a lot since I did not have a work permit, but I was able to work during the past summers. Since in schools there are many students who are immigrants who do not have a permit to work. I recommend this program, it is very good, it is also not necessarily that you speak English, in this program there are also people who speak Spanish like me, who when I started did not speak any English. Now I KNOW A LITTLE OF ENGLISH but, my English is not Perfect.
Hello, my name is Bryan. This is my third year in this program. Enterprise for Youth helped me create my resume and my CV. It has also given me the opportunity to work in different areas and I have been able to meet and connect with new people. They also looked for a way to pay me since I did not have my work permit and they helped me with how to pay. Enterprise for Youth gives you the opportunity to work in the area that you would like to work in.
I am an alumna of Enterprise for Youth and can testify to the huge impact and learning that resulted from my participant as a summer intern.
A few decades ago, through Enterprise for Youth, I had an amazing internship at UCSF in pediatric oncology. At the time, I thought I might be interested in pursuing a career as a doctor and believed some practical experience might help in this decision. For 2 months, I did rounds with the leading MD of Pediatric Oncology and understood what it meant to work in a hospital. I was only a sophomore at Lowell High School and if it hadn't been for Enterprise, I would not have had this opportunity and vital experience. My fellow Lowellite who also interned at UCSF, ultimately became a doctor and went to medical school at UCSF.
Although I did not ultimately pursue a career in medicine, I found the experience to be invaluable. I firmly believe that Enterprise's mission to help underserved youth pursue paid internships is very important in opening doors for under-resourced students to explore potential careers.
I am such a believer in the organization that I am now helping Enterprise by grant writing and securing funding from Foundations and Government entities.
Enterprise for Youth is an outstanding youth workforce development organization. I completed Enterprise Job Readiness Training (JRT) when I was a Junior in High School, back in 2018 and they have provided me with the opportunity to enhance my skills and gain valuable experiences through multiple internships in different sectors. Additionally, I had the privilege of meeting exceptional mentors who have significantly contributed to my personal and professional growth by reviewing my written work including resume and cover letter, offered me a space to practice interviewing, written letters of recommendation, and consistently made me feel welcomed and supported at all time.
Amazing Non-Profit. I have been able to intern since 2016 when I was in my freshman year of High School and even up to now they still support to find a great career. This organization is full of brilliant warm-hearted people. I am very grateful for all the help!

My name is Elliott Johnson and I was a member of the Enterprise for High School Students in San Francisco back in 1984. I am so excited that this organization is still alive and well! During my Sr. year in HS. I was able to obtain internships that really shaped my future career. I became an IT Consultant for 34 yrs and was able to retire early. I am currently a Day trader in the Markets. I just wanted to say that this organization was a major factor in giving me confidence, skills, and insight into finding a career that matched my personality and abilities. I can't say where I would have ended up without you! What made me think of you today was an article I was reading earlier this morning about Senator Dianne Feinstein, which was the Mayor of San Francisco back then, and I along with 3 others were allowed to have lunch at her house! All because of your wonderful abilities to assist young people in the positive advancement of their lives. I will forever be truly grateful for the opportunity you provided!
Great program to prepare for professionalism in work areas and jobs. It is a bit time consuming, but well worth it.
Enterprise for High School Students is the best nonprofit organization I have ever participated in. Before this program I was unsure of where I was gonna go in life, I knew a minimal amount of careers, I had no work experience and I was just confused of where I would end up. I was first introduced to this program at school and I was quite unsure of what they did specifically, as soon as I joined the program my life was at its highest point and was at a substantial increase. Not only do they get you a job, they provide the steps needed to get FUTURE jobs, they help you build confidence and I can say I gained a ton of that. I currently am in a Dental and Retail internship thanks to Enterprise. I am glad that I joined this program and I am now certain I will be successful in life.
I would never have gotten my first job at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco if it wasn't for Enterprise for High School Students. I've had the opportunity to witness what a great community Kaiser creates for its employees and clients. These job openings have changed my life for the better and gave me chances to succeed in places where I never would have access to if I wasn't in EHSS.
I enrolled in a pathways program offered at EHSS during my sophomore year and since then, I've put nearly every skill and ideal learned in their workshops to use when looking for jobs and careers today. Their workshops were extremely accommodating and were professionally taught in a concise matter, short and informative; important for a busy high schooler. But this organization offers more than just career-building workshops, throughout the year and in the summer, they provide internships for high schoolers to gain experience and pay in everyday jobs like gardening, caddying, and even working in hospitals. Along with that, EHSS has their own private job bank for high school members to look for part-time or full time jobs and for adults to post job listings for things they need help with. Overall, EHSS is an amazing program that truly extends their hands out to help high schoolers learn skills, gain experience, and earn pay, all at no cost.
I joined Enterprise for High School Students to fill something in for my summer. Little did I know, how wrong it was to just think about EHSS as a filler. Through my high school career, I have done so much at Enterprise and each minute of it, I was surrounded by kind people who truly wanted to help me and my peers. I have learned so much through the workshops and I have gained wonderful experiences and bonds through their CEP internships. I highly, highly recommend this program to any uncertain highschooler, and I genuinely believe that if I did not make the choice to join Enterprise, I would not have had the courage to apply (and get admitted to) the University of California schools.
I am a Latina living in San Francisco in a rough neighborhood. This program gave me the guidance that helped me gained job skills. I was able to get a retail job, and three internships. Which includes working UCSF at the age of 18. I was also able to introduce the congress women Jackie Speier. I take a lot of pride working there. This has given me a new gate way of opportunities.
I am so glad I found and joined Enterprise for high school students. The program has helped me develop confidence in my skills and prepared me for a professional setting. I really needed that sort of experience, and with Enterprise, I feel safe to make my mistakes in front of the staff. For one, they are so friendly and supportive of what they do - I feel they are there to help. They point out strengths and tell you what you do well in practice interviews, as well as parts that need to be strengthened. Overall it's been a great experience. Thank you EHSS.
Enterprise for High School Students is one-of-a-kind. The staff there is amazing, they really connect with the students. They aren't just stuffy old adults that force you to come to lessons or tell you to do this or that. They're there to help. When i wanted to start working, to start earning a wage and to start gaining some experience in the work place, i didn't know where to start. It wasn't until i joined Enterprise for High School Students as a junior in high school that i fully understood the careful steps that i needed to take if i wanted a job. I started off reserved and not knowing how to apply or even look for a job to a fully-confident, experienced individual with skills that make me a force to be reckoned with when looking for a job. Amazing as Enterprise is, let me warn you: Nobody's going to hold your hand. There are plenty of people willing to go out of their way to help you accomplish whatever it is you need to do but you must make an effort yourself. You have to arrange times to go in for lessons, you have to arrange calls to employers, you have to decide interview dates, you have to speak and convince the employers yourself. Enterprise is not just a job bank, it's a place where life lessons are taught. You learn how to be independent.
I became a member of Enterprise during my junior year in high school, and it was such a great experience! The workshop, the practice interviews were all really helpful, and all the people who work there are so motivated and committed to what they do. I got a job as a junior caddie at the Olympic Club, and that was one of the best oppurtunities I've had so far. Enterprise rocks!!
Decent, need improvement, I've been a member for a few years now, Although I thank EHSS for helping me find a few on-spot jobs I feel some staff are not so friendly, for example the Summer Gardening coordinator, who's name I should not say interviewed applicants writing only "OK" as an answer while applicants responded to his questions with detail. I did not feel with ease as he gave a bored facial expression as he was interviewing me. Not only that but he even chewed gum while interviewing an applicant as my friend said. But overall its a great place for high school students fot job search.
EHSS is a great non profit organization that never stops helping us high school kids. I have been a member of EHSS for around 2 years now and I love it. Every week I get a email listing more jobs thats hiring. Even when I go to there office they always have more job info there. They always greet me and their website is so helpful to me. I so far got one job through EHSS. I know there is more to come. I LOVE EHSS!!!
I absolutely LOVE Enterprise for High School Students! They are awesome! I have been a member of Enterprise For High School Students since the 9th grade and now as a recent Ehss alumni I would like to say that I wish the program was still available to me. That’s how wonderful my experiences with Ehss have been! At Ehss I was able to get a numerous amount of jobs. Temporary, Spot, Ongoing, domestic, and commercial. You name it, Enterprise has got it. The staff is very friendly and always there when you need a helping hand. Need help with writing a resume? Want to find a job? Want to learn about college scholarships? For all this and much more Enterprise is the perfect place for you! If you are a San Francisco high school student you should definitely join Enterprise!
What a nonprofit, what a nonprofit, what a mighty good nonprofit! Enterprise for High School Students is amazing at inspiring students and preparing them for the working world. I joined during my sophomore year of high school, and got my first job as a mailing assistant soon after. I also was an intern for their Career Exploration Program, which was one of the most beneficial experiences in my life. The internship allowed me to build skills that other 17-year olds can’t obtain at that age from any other experience. For example, I became familiar with QuickBooks and reconciled bank statements. Where else can I learn these skills as a 17-year old? Nowhere! But Enterprise’s internship program allowed me to do just that. The student services staff and job counselors are very welcoming and helpful. The job bank includes a wide range of jobs, from long term commercial positions to spot jobs with residential employers. However, Enterprise not only provides for student’s employment needs, but also for student’s academic needs. For example, Enterprise offers SAT and college application workshops at no cost. Currently a sophomore at UC Berkeley, I recall my experience at Enterprise with much awe and admiration. I am so grateful for all of the opportunities Enterprise has provided me, from the skills that I learned as an intern to the confidence I gained in my abilities. Thank you so much! Every high school student should become a member of Enterprise!
Enterprise for High School Students was a very helpful program. I became a member during my Freshman year of High school & now as a Junior, I'm still frequently visiting every now and then to get information about new jobs and college. The staff are proclaimed "Job Counselors" but I would call them "Miracle Workers." They really sit down and find out your strengths and skills, then help find the right job for you. They keep you up-to-date with new jobs by e-mailing you, so even when you're too busy to visit the office, you still receive that information. Everyone is friendly and ready to help. Besides the job bank they provide, which houses numerous amounts of jobs that include the contact information, they also have a College & Career counselor. Their summer programs-- Summer Gardening, Junior Caddie, & the Career Exploration Program give all students a chance to look at their work and take pride in what they did. The required 2 workshops before becoming a member teach a numerous of skills, including but not limited to- resume, phone, interview, approaching managers, handling problems at the work place, professionalism, etc. Enterprise for High School Students is a great place for students who are going through the school-work transition.
MOST BENEFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM IN SAN FRANCISCO! PERFECT FOR STUDENTS THAT NEED THEIR FIRST JOB EXPERIENCES. GREAT COUNCELING ADVISORS WITH LOTS OF EXPERIENCE HELPING KIDS.
Enterprise for High School Students is a good place. I have been a memeber for a few months. Based on my experience there ill have to say its great. The staff are nice and friendly. Everything is very simple and straight foward. I would recommend Enterprise for High School Students to anyone wanting to find a job.

I joined Enterprise about a month ago because I was looking for a looking for a specific type of office job, one that helps me with my major. I find Enterprise pretty useful because they have all sorts of job opportunities posted in their office. But because I am leaving for college in a few weeks, I did not apply for a job. However, I called in and asked for an appointment to help me write my resume and cover letter. They people there are nice and there was a staff member to assist me while I was writing my resume. The staff member actually called me half an hour before my appointment to make sure I was coming. Enterprise is definitely useful for high school students seeking specific jobs and don't know where to look.
I have found this non-profit organization to be the most beneficial program to exist throughout my life. The staff is full of caring and helping people that are willing to sit down with individual students and really give them a hand. They not only help you with college and careers, but can give you some helpful advice and that extra push as well. In my opinion, a kid could not possibly ask for more.
