Causes: Home Improvement & Repairs, Homeless & Housing
Mission: Public service to homeowners who have a need or desire to make their homes more energy efficient. Our primary goal is to educate homeowners with energy savings tips, directing them to an educational source or gaining permission for one of our referral list members to contact them for the purpose of assisting them with a specific energy saving home improvement project.
Programs: Informing homeowners of tiered billing used to calculate energy bills by the energy provider during the summer months primarily from memorial day through labor day. Guiding homeowners to informational, resourceful and reliable web sites with regard to energy efficiency, tax credits and rebates (if any) to help them reduce energy consumption in the household while at the same time saving money on utility bills. Helping homeowners understand the importance of energy assessments also known as energy audits for the purpose of education and setting priorities for home improvement projects. This allows homeowners the ability to prioritize energy projects based on energy loss and what they could afford to invest and save the most energy in order from most important to least important.
