Mission: The Endowment for Youth Committee (EYC) was established in October of 1986. It was formed out of a growing concern for the drug problem in our community. Meetings with Parents, concerned community individuals and a representative from the Santa Barbara Police Department resulted in an agreement that one way of saving children from the drug problem was to raise their self-esteem and instill in them a realization of self-worth. Through programs that encourage academic achievement and responsibility and other vehicles for positive and constructive social interactions, EYC has been a positive influence on the hearts and minds of our youth. Over the years, our membership has increased, and our locally sponsored activities and community programs have been widely recognized and enthusiastically supported.
