A passionate group and community that provides support and education to individuals on all things endometriosis. They host great online and in-person events, deliver care packages to those having surgery, and guidance on how to better advocate for yourself with a condition most of the medical field fails to understand.
This foundation literally saved my life. Due to endometriosis I lost my job and was left in a state I had no resources in. I went to doctors and got really bad referrals which resulted in me being very ill without any help. After needing surgery for 6 months and having absolutely no help, I reached out to this foundation for help. I asked the women in the community who I should go to. Not only did they listen to my story, they lead me to a great doctor who is now scheduled to do my surgery within a month of seeing him. If I did not get this help I’m sure I would have had serious life long complications. I’ve also been able to make friends and speak to women for the first time in Texas about this disease. I joined an event and I was so happy I did. I finally got some of my mental strength back by being able to hang out with ladies in the same position as I and not feel so alone. This foundation helps women when the medical system has failed them over and over again. They provide support, education, and social events for women with endometriosis. With how awful this disease can get, it’s a life changing experience to have this foundation around.
This has been a great group to refer many of my patients to. A missing link for so many people and a huge resource for many that desperately need it.
The Endo Forward online community was a much appreciated resource to me for advice and support while I recovered from surgery to treat endometriosis. I love that they offer care baskets as a way to support women in our local community who are having surgery. Endometriosis affects so many yet it's poorly understood and many doctors don't recognize or treat it properly. This foundation is advocating for women in our community to educate themselves and help them obtain the treatment they need. Their events are great too, virtual or in person. I especially enjoyed yoga in the park and am looking forward to the next event!
