Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Education, Graduate & Professional Schools
Mission: To transition corporate and military stem professionals into second careers in education, harnessing invaluable stem knowledge and experience to provide children in disadvantaged communities with an excellent math and science education.
Programs: As of june 2016, encorps tutors, guest teachers, teacher candidates and full time credentialed instructors are in service in more than 250 schools and organizations state wide, impacting more than 10,000 disadvantaged california students. Encorps is recognized thoughout california as a source of high quality math and science educators; school districts, charter school organizations and individual schools seek to hire our graduates. Encorps educators represent our nation's top stem experts: they have been employed an average of 17 years as a stem professional, and 80% have earned a masters or phd in a stem subject.
