I stumbled on Encircle in a search for a way to continue to be a part of my community through service and support. I have gay family and friends and immediately resonated with the respectful and loving way that the founders of Encircle created their mission at the Provo house. I utilized the online form to explain some of my skills and abilities that I thought would be of value to the program. I was then paired with very sweet and helpful facilitators where they decided to have me teach art classes. What a blast that has been! I was thrilled to be able to share some of my artistic knowledge, but also to be edified by the love and strength of the young participants at Encircle.

Every step of my volunteering here has been fulfilling. The program managers are great to work with, the other volunteers are good people with kind hearts. I truly feel lucky and blessed to be a part of things at Encircle.

Encircle helped me in my time of need. When I was working on accepting who I was, Encircle was a place that I was able to turn to for therapy and for support from those who understood where I was at.

If Encircle wasn't around, I don't think I'd be at the good mental place that I am in now. I wouldn't be the happiest, best self I could be.

Encircle has provided for me, and everyone who walks through their doors, a beautiful and excepting atmosphere. The conversations I’ve got to have have benefitted me, and benefitted many others. Encircle has helped take a weight off the shoulders of those who feel burdened and overwhelmed. All are welcome and all are needed.

Encircle is an absolutely amazing place where people can come and be themselves no matter their gender/sexual identity. Focused mainly on youth and young adults, Encircle has a strict drop in policy for those above 25 (unless you are at the house for a program/session, you'll be asked to leave). This allows the staff/volunteers/facilitators to focus their energy on giving Youth/YA a stable emotional&mental foundation to build off of (through it's wide selection of programming and friendship circles/private counciling appointments)
Encircle is known for it's Subsidized (and in some cases, free) Counceling. Youth/YA/Anyone can speak with a train professional that is sensitive to LGBTQ+ common issue and know's how to navigate those with the patient at their pace. This, combined with the home-y feel of the building itself, creates a safe and comforting environment that can't be found anywhere else in Utah.
Their slogan speak for itself: "No Sides, Only Love", no matter how you identify spiritually, or along the LGBTQ+ spectrum (both gender and sexual identity) they will always love and support you.
TL;QR: Encircle is the most amazing place for an LGBTQ+ individual to be at what ever point they are at in their life. I highly recommend even just stoping by just so you're aware of the resource. Encircle has also not lost a single youth to suicide since it opened (~2 years ago). Truly an amazing place.

Forming a much-needed, heartful, growing community is what Encircle is about. Encircle saves lives and offers a tremendous range of programs to LGBTQ+ community members. The expansion to two more cities speaks to its winning formula, and the success of Ignite! to offer strength and support to at-risk populations is amazing.

Walden is such a wonderful part of Provo's community and has done so much for LGBTQ+ folks here.

I love ENCIRCLE! I started volunteering with them because I saw the way LGBTQ+ kids/teenagers/adults can be treated in Utah. That needs to change and ENCIRCLE is on the job! Everyone is welcome with love. Need someone to talk to? Check! Need someone to bounce ideas off? Check! Need a group of your peers to talk to? Check! Need warm cookies? Check! I can honestly say that every volunteer I have had the pleasure of working with has been wonderful and loving to everyone who came through the door.

I absolutely love Encircle. "No sides, only love" isn't just a motto - it truthfully represents what Encircle stands for, and is lived out by the staff and volunteers. Encircle's work is extremely important - welcoming Utah's LGBTQ+ youth and their families into a community of understanding, love and support. The resources Encircle provides are remarkable and life-changing. I know my own life has been changed by getting involved. I only wish I could be at Encircle every day! I am so happy to be a part of such a wonderful organization.
