Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Animals, Wildlife Preservation & Protection, Wildlife Sanctuaries
Mission: The EFWR is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the dedication to the animal rescue and education. We specialize in native wildlife and exotic animal species. Our dedicated team provide the community with educational programs to help the public better understand the important roles each species has in the ecosystem
Results: we have successfully returned several hundred animals back out into their natural habitat.
Target demographics: injured, orphaned, abandon, and or sick wildlife with the goal of always returning them to their natural habitat. We also house exotics (within the law) that have been surrended or abandon.
Direct beneficiaries per year: in 2022 and 2023 we have rescued several hundred animals, reptiles and amphibians
Geographic areas served: Lexington, Frankfort and Waco Ky, along with our sister organization in Indiana
Programs: education programs through the community, schools, businesses, and more, for people of all ages
