I have volunteered for this organization since it was founded in 1999 and I have nothing but positive things to say. Dr. Portier puts her heart and soul into great patient care. Her staff are kind and caring. The ladies on the Board of Directors work hard and their dedication comes from the heart. They give free and discounted visits if you don't have insurance or if your insurance won't cover the whole cost of a visit and they are quick to give sample medicines to save the cost of a prescription for anybody who can't afford the medicine they need. And, they built a new half of the health center to rent out to other organizations and they brought a cancer treatment center to Emmitsburg. Now, families don't have to drive so far to get the care they need.

Mission: Eopcc is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing medical education and patient-centered osteopathic healthcare.
Programs: Emmitsburg osteopathic primary care center, inc. Provides approximately 4,477 office visits a year to members of the emmitsburg community and outlying areas of frederick, adams, and washington counties. In 2017, eopcc was able to provide approximately 15,000 worth of free medical care to the uninsured members of the community. It is estimated that close to 120 office visits were provided to the uninsured.
