Mission: Our mission is to provide high quality food and essential support services to hunger relief programs in our community. We do this by partnering to:maximize the sharing of food, resources, and systems support; promote quality standars; and educate and advocate for the eradication of hunger.
Programs: The emergency foodshelf network (efn), is a nonprofit organization incorporatedunder the laws of the state of minnesota. The mission of emergency foodshelf networkis: an innovative food bank dedicated to serving the hunger needs of our changing communities. Efn provides services primarily through the following programs:fare for all: sales of $1,383,515 exceeded budget by $104. 6k. Over 152,000 individuals were served and distributed 1,074,313 pounds through the program. Bulk purchasing: sales to agency partners were $977,423, missing its budget by $118k. This program also ran down to last year. Free pounds (1,246,681) distributed through bp increased 39. 9% to ly and purchased pounds (1,268,204) decreased 4. 6% to ly. Culturally specific initiatives: 310,029 pounds of culturally specific food packages were distributed to 17,190 households. Baskets of hope: 5300 holiday meals were distributed through 37 of our foodshelf partners. Mobile foodshelf: 205,283 pounds were distributed to 6,141 households. Lost harvest and harvest for the hungry: 267,450 pounds of fresh produce were distributed to our foodshelf partners through our produce programs.
