Mission: Emergency Animal Rescue(EAR)was founded in 1994 following the devastating floods in the Tijuana River Valley. This disaster showcased a need for a highly trained and dedicated animal rescue organization. Through ongoing technical and safety training, the EAR has successfully rescued literally thousands of animals from life threatening situations. From the rescue of a cat that has gotten itself trapped in a tree for days to crawling through underground sewer pipes to rescue an abandoned dog to the evacuation of large horse ranches in front of wildfires, the EAR does it all, and we do it at no cost. Amidst all this, we are a responsible community partner, taking time to speak to our kids in schools and other community events about the importance of animals in our environment. Our only mission is to rescue those that can't rescue themselves.
